They are all Japanese (Harvey is half Australian and Hinata is half Korean i believe), but their company(XGALX) is based in Korea. It's sub label of AVEX Inc. which is Japanese company. They promote like K-Pop groups, but they are NOT K-pop. All their songs are in completely English, except some of their Cyphers. I've been down the XG rabbit hole since Woke Up premiered last week. Their story is crazy, auditions happened in 2017 when the oldest member (Chissa) was 15 and the youngest member (Cocona) was 11. Auditions went for 2 years, and they trained for 3 until they dropped their first song in 2022. I love this group and their songs. I hope one day you two will do an XG day if enough people request it on Discord.

They are yes all Japanese, but they are headquartered and promote out of South Korea, and all their songs, with the exception of the "XG TAPES" are all English. They are considered a GLOBAL POP / XPOP group. Their primary sound is heavy on the HIPHOP and R&B side of music. And alot of their influences are 90s and early 2k artists - I.E. Aaliyah, Luaren Hill, Destinys Child, TLC etc etc.
