Oh your one of those fellas😅. It's a chest rig, get over it man 😂. No reason to crap on anyone using them cause they work. A type 81 cheat rig worked for the VC perfectly fine. Sorry to offend those sensitive to cheaper priced gear. All apologies. 🙏

I bought one of these a month ago. I too like it generally. I don't know how all those pistol magazine pouches are very useful for a rifleman in a combat space. Still, for 40 bucks it's a real bargain and pretty comfortable. Lately, I have been watching a lot of combat footage from the Iraqi and Syrian civil wars and the riflemen there were into very minimalist chest rigs, pretty much holding just AK mags. We in the West are more into the "Batman utility belt" philosophy, but perhaps hanging too much stuff off your chest is not a good thing. Nice review.

The pistol mag pouches can be used as light, multi-tool, micro survival pouch, and signal/ compass pouch. Tons of uses. The TinMan TRAK rig is being designed to be scalable to the user for the role they fill🤘🇺🇲

You don’t see the logic for a secondary weapon? Just because it’s called a pistol mag pouch doesn’t mean has to be used for that and it’s the only thing that Will fit..
If you want a closer to the body, slick rig check out the rapid assault rig.. However, if closer to the ground in prone to return fire is your concern you’re not going to really get a lot closer to the ground with a slick rig..
I’m ASSUMING someone looking at chest rigs has being a prepared citizen in mind. What many soldiers consider a load out is 7 mags, personally I don’t want to leave shelter with less than 7 in a scenario citizens are trying to be prepared for. If the weight of 7 rifle mags, 2 or 3 pistol mags along with other basics is too much I’d argue you need to train and ruck more.

Pistol mag pouches normally should be on a pistol belt, holster on other side, 2 spares and 1 in the pistol. Iraq and Syria are minimalist cause they are not as well equipped and will use anything or any surplus they can get, like a Chinese Type 56 rig. In the west, the rig goes over a plate vest.

After watching this and other vids I ordered this rig, the rapid assault rig, hydration pack, bladder along with a couple other items for under $200. I mostly run a plate carrier and made the purchase for times I don’t want to be packing plates as well as having something that doesn’t break the bank to put in my groups hands ti see if works for them and possible gifts for those less fortunate financially..
Let’s be 💯 realistic. The majority of people seeking out and watching this kind of video are likely working towards being a prepared citizen and likely don’t have a bunch of money to throw at it, gear and weapons is only part of it.. With the economy and inflation many are struggling just to pay bills and put food on the table already, I know I don’t have as much extra as I use to.. What’s totally asinine to me is the but once cry once will preach you need community, but they price many if not most around them out with what they consider the bare minimum.. To many of these people the bare minimum in gear or you will die is $20k, and that’s being very generous and per person. That’s not touching other basic needs like water, food, shelter, hygiene and medical. That’s weapon systems and self defense supporting gear only. I may live in a funky area, because not many would be trying to become a prepared citizen themselves, they will be trying to kit out their family. If people don’t have their $20k bare minimum per person they preach save.. Obviously they see something far different than I do when they look out the window at what state the world is in… Then need for gear and supplies could come today!!!
Then there is the reality and simple truth this isn’t the movies where people have plot armor, people are going to be their own supplier and logistics unlike being in the military, and the vast majority of people are not tier 1 operators that will be kicking down doors and being in constant fire fights. In fact most by far have very little if any training and they won’t be getting any if they are saving money for unattainable weapons and supporting gear, or they blew all the money money the did have on it.. Chances of them surviving even a handful of fire fights to warrant the bare minimum weapons and supporting gear the buy once cry once crowd preaches is slim. I have nice gear because I’ve been doing this for awhile. But I 💯 percent bought what I could afford at the time without a lot of saving for months for 1 particular item. I either still utilize the weapons and gear I started out with, or gifted it and the vast majority is still in use..
I 💯 believe time is short and the more people becoming prepared citizens by buying what they can afford the better off we all are. We should be supporting those at least trying not making the price of entry so high they say screw it and give up.. 💯if I was starting from scratch today I would buy a PSA, Ruger, S&W, M400 tread, IWI rifle, pmags and a sub $50 chest rig and start rucking and training. If I couldn’t get formal training I would be looking for vets or law enforcement to train with..

@lanejohnson7656 preach brother!!!! I country agree more and have said the almost exact same verbatim on the TinMan Podcast!!! I preached it when we did the Warrior Collective channel/podcast. I have the skill sets (thanks us gov) but am always trying to learn more so I can help teach others in my community. I've been trying to get down to Brushbeater w/ NC Scout for 3 years and to JTAC with Barrel and Hatchet for 2 yrs. Something always comes up to keep me from going, so I take the time I have and get with the "Boy Band" and "do work" to make up for it. Y'all really need to check out the Podcast if you haven't already!

Is this how its supposed to sit? Or can it be tightened up a little further on the chest?
That would get in the way of a war belt or LBE.
Might have to look at something else

@EatingTheDawgs I personally like it lower due to my previous life using LBE type kit. It can be adjusted higher, but don't go too high because it becomes very awkward when trying to pull mags and re-index during tac reloads. For the record it doesn't interfere with my belt being lower like you may think. 👍🇺🇲🍻🤘

@seventhstone it just rides nice lower anyway! I tried up higher, and it just got in the way. Heck, I like them all a bit lower for that reason, to be fair. Thanks for tuning in🫡🇺🇲🍻🤘
