Get your flaps out on base, not final - it'll help you get the airplane slowed down for landing. Also flaps on takeoff helps you get airbourne quicker. once you're climbing steadily retract the flaps. Also trim is your friend. if you can figure out how to assign it to your controller, a bit of right rudder on that powerful cessna would have saved you drifting to the left.
The "wrong runway" penalty you got at 23:50 is because the game technically wanted you to land going the other direction, which is dumb because the blue guidelines literally guide you to land in the wrong direction.
Something similar happened to me, I landed and my plane took a while to slow down so I taxied at the end of the runway compared to middle where it wanted me to. And I got a message Cessna, was not cleared to land
AOA - Angle of Attack. It's a visual representation of the pitch of the airplane. As the nose of the plane pitches up, the angle of attack will go up and vice versa. If the AOA stays in the red too long, then the aircraft will eventually stall. Try to keep the AOA in the green but you can use the pitch with a slight reduction of power to help slow down the airplane so flaps can be deployed. Its a constant battle to balance pitch and speed. Learning to trim will help this as well. "Pitch for Speed, Power for Altitude". Practice, practice, practice. They may not be as fun, but doing the sightseeing tours will let you practice your landings and gain credits along the way.
Loving this series so far, ignore the haters, this sim is for all of us not for just the seasoned flight simmers in fact seeing you learning along with the rest of us is what is so entertaining. Keep up the great work
one thing to look out for Riot is that skipping removes alot of points and credits. If you do a flight off stream you'll see you get a _"no skip"_ bonus
in your first flight, that plane had a propeller control (blue slider under the screens). You can use that to adjust your RPMs while your throttle still controls power. Some planes have a separate prop control. Hang in there and stick with it. The sim has a lot to offer. You may consider doing the flight training tutorials. May help you get a little more familiar with flying. Your settings may have an auto control for your prop. Not sure how yours is configured.
You need to bind propeller axis. Some of the faster propeller airplanes have like a secondary throttle that you need to use with your throttle to control the speed of the props. That’s why it was hard to land and it seemed like engine wouldn’t slow down
It’d be so good if you can save a location on the planet as your home, and drive a car to the local airport and get in your plane.. then fly about and then return home at the end of the flight. Like in real life. You could go on holiday (flight sim holiday) and save a location wherever you fly too.
do flights from inside, use auto pilot also, i have just learned how to and it makes it smoother for straight routes for me then i take over on the end part
Sooo Im a fairly new sub and I dont have this game. But I have flown on airplanes. It seems you are always aiming for the exact start of the runway to land on. which ion last episode caused you to crash and this episode no idea why flaps didnt deploy but yeah. Aim for the area just after the "zebra crossing" which is where all the tyre marks seem to be on the runway from other landing aircraft. Edit. This isn't a criticism. just an observation. Edit 2: Grass runways.. no idea. good luck.
FortheloveofGod, will you please try flying from inside the plane? Besides anything else, when you take the 'instrument flight rules' test....you're gonna have to be able to see the instruments.
@@thelastchaoticfool Logitech X-56 is a good shout, I've had it for a good few years now and it hasn't let me down. Lots of buttons for binding and also has the twist grip throttle
Hello...HELP...when I first begin Career Mode, I get the initial "Next" button (lower right), then I'm told to choose a starting location (e.g., KCRQ), and then...........NOTHING. My screen just sits there. I'm kinda expecting another "Next" button or something that allows me to proceed, but nothing happens. I've waited for 30 minutes, I've re-installed the sim...still nothing. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.
You might need to use flaps on take off or push the stick forward until you increase the speed a little more for a better take off
Not my finest hour ...

There's a speed limit for flaps you can't use them for slowing they are used to add lift at low speeds
@@danielrubin353 Thats true but hopefully you are already slowing down into the safe flap deployment range on base.

13:57 I thought you would still know Madagascar! 🇲🇬
that island is Madagascar
Literally binge watched the other Career playthrough videos, and then THIS pops up.
Feels like a WIN, haha.
Love the series so far!
Follow the yellow line when taxi.

That’s Madagascar 🇲🇬 that’s next to South Africa 14:06
AOA in aviation can refer to either angle of attack or Air Operations Area
been waiting for this ep! yayyyy
TBH I find your style of flying hilarious as I know I would be way worse! 😂 fabulous series! Made me subscribe!
Need more, please bro
Don't stop
Mate love watching ya learn as ya go, much better than watching people who act like they are a real pilot n know it all. Keep it up man

Siamese twins - this is what I call inclusive working space.

You should always try turning using the back flaps mid air 7:24
Love the series
One thing that might help is to think of your engine power in terms of altitude not speed.
GameRiot performs a Jingles landing 🤣🤣🤣

Dog that landing be crucial 😂😂😂
Ignore the doubters. The reason why I watch your streams and videos is because you’re learning a new game. It’s more human it’s more fun. X
Adjust your TRIM to level your flight. And adjust your RPM for best efficiency
I hope your back feels better soon. It sucks trying to make content when you're hurting or sick.
According to that first flight even Stevie wonder can get a pilots license 😂
Use the flaps on take off and landing it will make flight easier.
do flights from inside, use auto pilot also, i have just learned how to and it makes it smoother for straight routes for me then i take over on the end part
Save 25k to get your first sightseeing company or 35k for cargo.. no level requirement.
I've only seen a cpl search and rescue missions but they r pretty cool.
Next time I fly I'm going ask if the pilot can skip in on the landing and hit the grass first, that was hilarious!
Set the power to the white mark on the Tacho!
Your flaps will slow you down on approaching the runway.
I enjoy watching you. People with those comments haven't played any games in their lives.
Don’t use a joypad,. You need to try using the rudder to straighten up and not just banking.
Keep practising thought, you’ll get there
Thank you for this video. 😊

Are you using rudders as well as your stick ?
i tryed to get that license but i was struggling but i barley passed
If anything needs to have a hrsh judging, it's the game for not failing you on that landing. :)

you need good joystick , playing on pad is soo bad in this game
Can you recommend a setup?

No its fine. Its you
If you adjust sensitivity of the sticks its perfectly playable on a gamepad
+ 3000 credits for drifting
Do part #5
It's Madagascar
I am a bit dissapointed by the boring parcels, not even a single cage with chicken?
Your always way too low on landings but your addictive to watch
Fly To Area 51 I Dare You 😅😅 and save up for the beluga Aircraft love to see it 😅
Adjust sensitivity on your controls.
I'm not earning any credits when I do the flight missions. What's up with that? I'm stuck at 3,000 credits and got nothing out of these missions
You need to pass the commercial certificate to get paid
@zeebatser6930 thank you so much. That solved the issue
Wait until you fly the Patey Aviation Draco X. It's a small tail dragger sitting at 1000 Horsepower 😅😅
That thing is a monster but trying to land it is a beech has really good brakes
You always forget about the flaps
that plane the stick doesn't work as well as the others
Turn your engine rpm down when on ground

I can’t seem to get the 50% landing quality 😭
