Black eyed peas for luck is a southern tradition started after the civil war. Cabbage or any greens are for money and started in the East but I did it in Texas and now in Florida as well

All those pepper seeds, did you throw them out? I grow my own from the seeds.
I go with out black eye peas we had mashed potatoes with broccoli sharp cheddar cheese sauce little smokes with my homemade bourbon bbq sauce useing the BBQ sause as gravy Today New Years aged primrib ausje mashed Potatoes mustard greens and collards with left over ham butter milk corn bread and pineapple upside down cake made with reconstituted door county dried cherries and feresh apple Happy New Year
My dog doesn't like the fireworks either I noticed that when it's gun shots she really gets to barking but if she can get loose she will try to attack the fireworks have a great new year man I want to meet up and fish with you. That's what I want to have today black eyed peas and some mustard greens if I was able to fish I was going to have fried fish with it since I don't eat pork.

Do the Alligators and Turtles go into hibernation when the temps drop below 48? I ask because that dead rabbit would be gone in just a few days if they were active I would think!
