@@ksztaltchmurIts just rumors to be fair, but apparently they weren't so great to work with *_and_* the outline for Disco Elysium 2 was already finished before they were let go. Sad to not see them finishing their product, but if it means the others who worked on this game get to keep their jobs...what can you do, right?
Sequel or not, sometimes art is a creation of circumstances and I hardly think the tumultuous, alcoholic development of Disco Eysium could ever be created again. I am so thankful with what we got.

@@jeturin Mostly because he was Harry's partner and did care about him, and still does, but because of Harry's alcoholism and spiraling, he ended up treating those around him pretty poorly including Jean. The old Harry even said he didn't want to get better from his drinking and even on the case he verbally abused them and told them to leave and so they did. Makes sense why Jean would still be upset since if you do clean up your act, he won't believe it because years of him trying to help Harry didn't work but 1 week with someone else and suddenly he's clean? At times it does come off abit forced because like Harry we don't know who he is and also apparently Jean didn't know Harry THAT long so it does come off as irritating at times.
@@jeturin The roughness of the voice is a bit difficult, but I think they were going for the fact that Vicquemare appears to have something of a crush on Harry, and that for several years now Harry has essentially been abusive towards him, and the team. He's explicitly described as a "very, very sad man" even in this convo, so I think they're going for a man who's both angry and a bit broken. Not broken like Harry is, but broken like those who have had a family member or loved one become a true addict. At a certain point you get so tired with the antics and the pain that follows them that it's hard to even muster up much other than aggravation. Victim of the ethanol-industrial complex, lol. I'm stealing that.
Holy shit that was forty minutes long. MAN this game is good, I get bored over dialogue if its FIVE minutes long in some games
"Here comes the cavalry..." still makes my eyes well up like they did on the first playthrough.

If Zaum had stuck together and they'd made a sequel... god it would have been glorious.
Yeaaaah, the more I watch that ending setting up a potential sequel, the more I'm mad about it...

WHERE WAS THE GAY
29:36 Kim only says this if you have the homo-sexual underground in your thought cabinet. totally worth it
Any gay acknowledgement from Kim is entirely worth it🥰

It’s sad we’ll never see a sequel that’s as anti capitalist as this. A lot of the writers got the can for fraud and trumped charges.
It's funny to see tbh

Drunk gay communist sorry cop!!! That was me!!!
Disco Elysium is the best game of all time just for the title of this video alone.
title is the average police officer in los angeles
Minus the drunk part I think you got it backwards

LA cops will shoot you in the head and call you a slur before they apologize
I assure you the LAPD are pretty hardcore Fascists no where near sorry or communist
