Wow! I got this at the right time when I am planning to start a book club in a community library.I am a librarian ..working in collaboration with other libraries in the country. I wish you would direct me how you can join our zoom to advice us on..and to interact with us .I love this!
ouhh that's awesome you got authors to join! I run a local book club and I've been wanting to make it more exciting. I suggested Netflix Party to watch something together too.
Thank you for these tips and ideas. We have gone virtual and it has been interesting. We are in Massachusetts so I think in the winter this will even be better than trying to meet in person.
My local Sisters in Crime book club routinely invites the author to join us, and that gets difficult in the winter, especially if they're driving from Denver or the Springs, so we're thinking we may just stay virtual even after things are "normal" again.
Great video! And yes, I am really enjoying visiting with book club friends who have moved away but can now join us online. A couple of my book clubs are using Discord. One nice thing about it is that it has a text chat feature that will let members post discussion asynchronously.
We have a family book club virtually. There are 7 of us that meet . We are meeting tonight to talk about Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood that did not go over well😝. It should be a interesting conversation.😂
Do you have any recommendations for books that are family sagas? I read “The Thorn Birds” and really enjoyed it. My favorite genre is historical fiction.
Thank you so much for creating this video. I am starting my first book club and the idea to reach out to the author is a genius idea!

Great tips! Thanks for sharing. I don't currently have any book clubs, but these are great ideas to keep in mind. :)

Quite a shelf.
she doesn't start explaining till 3:20
Where do you suggest to contact the author? And what virtual games do you suggest to play to get everyone comfortable with one another?
Great tips here!! I don't own any video equipment, so no book club by me!! 😕 I would like to find a club at on here and just see if I enjoy it.
Great tips! Tfs.

Roses by Leila Meacham (there are more books that go along with it) is a great family drama set in the south.
I have read that series and I loved it. Thanks for responding.
Hi Lindsey, I just started a book club online on WhatsApp. We're planning to use voice notes. Any advice?
sounds nice.would you like other people to join ?I wish to join
Is it difficult to be involved in so many book clubs?
It can be some months but I just love getting together and chatting about books.
