MY LETTER TO U2-1987 I saw you guys on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987 at MTSU-Middle Tennessee State University Saturday November 28th 1987. The Bodeans opened up for you. I remember at the time Larry had a crush on Wynonna Judd and she came out and sang a duo with Bono! I didn't have tickets to the show. A friend of mine drove us 3 hours from East Tennessee to see the show. We bought tickets at the box office for $18.50. We ended up 8th row center stage! I remember back then the band held back tickets for fans who were willing to make the drive and couldn't get tickets via phone or record store locations. Thanks again to Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr for making a special album and tour! I was 18 and had just graduated High School that year! All the Best! Gary Lagstrom
Mid to late 1980s U2 was my everything esp their early stuff (War & Unforgettable fire) ALWAYS on my turntable. Them an INXS (and Prince) taught me me all about it, U2 & INXS the rock - Prince the funk and filth. Anyway I had this on VHS and pretty sure i wore it out through viewing, my poor mum n dad having to give me regular TV time. Great memories. I am English and ironically live in Ireland now, it is a cool place
This was the 1st time we ever really got to see how funny and sarcastic the lads really are. In the day of newspapers, mags and short clips on MTV, the media always portrayed U2 as earnest, black and white guys. This doc and Rattle and Hum really made me (and many others) fall in love with the band. And, it prepared us in a way for Achtung thru Pop!!
34 minutes in… I met the band in front of the hotel that night after the concert. They went in and changed clothes and went to the bar afterwards. I wish we’d known so we could have gone to the bar! 😢
U2 ....Actuvism.... Dear God, Thank you with All My Heart for this Band. This jaw dropping, Heart Racing, Spirit celebrating Wonder of the World.... Molo

Alguien que estuvo ahí Plis cuente la experiencia
Remember when U2 was anti fascist and anti Imperialism?
I remember them as always anti-Bolshevik and pro free market.
Pro Communist, naive fools.
and ... the hair of edge is gone
