    For anyone curious about what healthy/balanced ESTJ's look like IRL, check out Jon Taffer from Bar Rescue:
    He has incredible control over his anger and knows how to utilize it in the correct way. Assholes who think they know everything? He lets them have it! People who are genuinely struggling and know they need help? He's very kind, understanding and supportive (like a father).
    Gordon Ramsay is also a good example. Trained chefs who think they know it all? He rips them a new one! Home cooks who aren't trained and trying new things? He's honest but not harsh. Children who are learning to cook? He's very sweet and supportive.
    Both of these guys have helped me gain so much more appreciation for ESTJ's. They speak their mind with full control over their anger/emotions and are incredibly effective at accomplishing what they want, something that INFP's often feel inside but are afraid to show or struggle to know how to implement.
    We love you ESTJ's!

      Thank you!!! I’ve never felt so appreciated. Two people report to me. I suspect one is an ESTJ. She gets so bossy that sometimes I have to pull rank on her. I also have someone reporting to me whom I suspect is INFP. I try to be kind and gentle in my mentoring of him. He always tells me he never feels threatened by me and only feels supported.

    estj here. fj tries his best, but he rarely ever represent estj accurately. its almost always “work! time! i am a soulless office worker!” which is pretty much a caricature type at this point. get to know real and healthy estjs, you’ll realize we are funny, loving, caring, and awkward! we come in different shapes and sizes and we help everyone around us. and no, just because you parent yells at you to tidy your room doesnt make them an estj… stop typing everyone you hate as estj.

    • @sarahberkner
      @sarahberkner Рік тому +4

      Agreed, we don't all have anger management problems. To be fair I think Frank portrays all the types negatively. I like Dear Kristin's skits better, but they're still going to rely on stereotypes for comedic effect. I do relate to the office worker stereotype, and I get annoyed at little things and care about things being done right, but I'm not mean about it.

    • @chancellorpuddinghead
      @chancellorpuddinghead Рік тому +4

      @@sarahberkner same here! i only get mean when people repeatedly ignore me after i’ve tried to help/fix. personally i’m a scattered and lazy person, so the heavy reliance on office worker stereotype gets on my nerves especially since it’s irrelevant in most skits! it’s almost as if we don’t exist out of workplaces lol. i need to see skits of estj watching a show, shopping for clothes, a teen doing homework etc. it feels like we’re the side characters after some point, since other types arent constantly depicted in the same roles unlike us ):

    I think I'm an ESTJ but I'm pretty shy and careful about my words, so I don't fit a lot of the stereotypes. And I don't believe that ALL ESTJs are angry people, I think they're usually unemotional but obviously still feel emotion because they're human. And maybe they lash out occasionally but it depends on the morals of the person.
    I take my work seriously, I'm detail-oriented and organized, I like doing stuff with people and staying busy, and I don't have a particularly warm, caring personality and don't show a lot of emotion or excitement. One instance I do recall was when, after grocery shopping, my father collected his change and was one penny short. I watched the sketches of my type and some other types that match my friends and family, and I found them pretty spot-on. I have never had a relationship with ESTJ, and I am wondering what would happen if I met a man of this type. Would I be attracted to him? Very likely, yes. But would I be able to stay with such a character for a long time? that's very unlikely...

      @@amytiffanyhemingway So true! I’m very INFP and My ESTJ husband had to go through a lot of training and learn he can’t say things like “that outfit makes you look fat” 😂 And he helped me learn to at least sometimes face my responsibilities. We have helped each other grow so much!

      I actually think I may have been wrong. There’s a Frank James video where the types are voting out other types in a reality show, and ESTJ votes out ISFP (ua-cam.com/video/IaPuKdI5vAk/v-deo.html) - so, as an ISFP, I think it’s me that might be Timmy

    • @johhada9304
      @johhada9304 2 роки тому +2

      @@jeunese That's true, but 1. ISFP is often considered the golden pair to ESTJ, and 2. In the video where the 16 personalities react to 16p memes, ESTJ sends a meme to Timmy with the caption "INFPs be like" to bully him, so I think it's canon that Timmy is INFP.

    Again, as a fellow INFJ, I would be bothered, by someone taking my original creative material, and using it on their own channel. Is Frank cool with this? He has playlists, on his channel, for all the types, and you putting these together, while you may be doing this innocently enough, takes views away from his own playlists. You ought to ask for permission, unless you have already, in which case, I am assuming he is fine with it. He can claim copyright infringement against you, doing this, and UA-cam can give you a strike, and force you to remove these from your channel, or ban you entirely. -INFJ

      I’ve said many times he can have all of these videos if he wants them. These are compilations of ONLY one personality type at a time so that people can share their personality type with others and look up the personality types of others. The videos are like any other compilations, and they only exist because I couldn’t find my own personality type as a mash-up. Before I knew it, people were requesting a compilation of their personality types too, so I did it. I link to Frank James’ channel and credit him for the original sketches on all my compilations, which is more than many compilations do. I also make zero money doing it. It takes time and effort to sort through and find the funniest sketches that fit into less than 5 minutes for each personality type.

      I’m an INFP with an ESTJ father as well haha. Let’s just say he got the court involved when they had no business being involved and cost my mother and family a lot.
      Anyways, what’s so interesting is that I’ve dated an ESTJ before and he was quite different from my father. Just as principled, organized, and skilled… but more shy, awkward, easygoing, and kind. So yes ESTJs can be very different from each other. That’s why we shouldn’t generalize
