In this video titled EU4 A to Z - Can I DEFEAT COLONIZERS As a NATIVE HORDE Nation I do a playthrough as Carib in Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Carib, and I attempt to do the same this I did in the Arawak episode, which is to defeat colonizing nations as a native nation. So let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. If you enjoyed this video consider leaving a like and subscribing for more content in the future. The save file is available for all Tier 1 and above UA-cam members in the save-games Discord channel.

I got it and it didn’t work for me
Best 20 I've spent
@@darklobster6923 wtf how
@@lazarmanojlovic845 I wish I knew. I bought it, inputted the keys into steam, was very careful to make sure they were the same, but nothing changed. I already had the game and 2 dlc so maybe that’s why it didn’t work, but I wanted the rest of them. I can’t find evidence of them anywhere
It’s still 2300+₽, to much for Russians 😰
As Castille you should try to emulate real history and Charles V. Become Holy Roman Emperor. Bonus points for getting a PU over Austria.
I second this.
More than holy Roman emperor, RESTORE THE EMPIRE. ( I see doing It rarely on UA-cam)
Yeah actually make the Spanish monarchs care about their inheritance as Roman emperor
also, big jaw energy
Or even conquering al Italy and the Magreb
So universal monarchy mission branch?
The native update is so cursed. Reform into a horde without horses, then reform into a monarchy with Chinese tech
@Axo none, and while there may have possibly been some small groups in the Great Plains, there were certainly none in South America
@Axo There were no horses in the Americas directly before the colonial era.
Archeological evidence suggests horses are originally from the New World millions of years ago but the ones that didn't cross the Bering land bridge into Asia were likely hunted to extinction by the humans who crossed from Asia into North America.
By the time you can get to a horde, horses have been brought over by the colonizers, released into the wild and took over the great plains .
...except, that only happened in North America, South American tribes shouldn't be able to do that
@@CSDragon There's actually a group of people that did basically become a horde in South America. They were extremely brutal and were used as mercenaries. They were mentioned in a Extra Credits history vid but I don't remember what they were called and couldn't find them with a casual google search.
@@Alex_Fahey To also add as flavor, there were no draft animals in the New World either. The closest to one would be llamas, but it may serve as an explanation as to why Mesoamerican cultures were radically cruel to humans or otherwise seen as primitive to explorers.
HUMONGOUSLY MASSIVE W literally became a great power and had a 38% warscore against england+portugal as a native opm
This was my favourite A to Z Video So far! Thank you for sitting through the Pain of playing as an Early Game Tribal Nation!
You know how every year everyone finds a channel that makes your year. That was 2021 and I’m addicted and love your content to this day. Keep up the grind!
Castile:
Bartolomé Victorious: Assign all slave producing provinces to the Dominicans.
Alternatively: Be in Spain without the S. Never core conquered provinces. You can religiously and culturally convert, and you can integrate vassals/PUs, but no conquered lands. See the OE tick up and up and up.
If you ever read this thank you very much!
I know there are a lot of nation in season 3 but as I am Croatian I would really like that you play well Croatia, so here some advices:
-You can fight the independence after the first month, you just need to ask Poland to support independence (it is not very difficult you take the +25 relation because of religion and if they are rival with hungary they will support you, if they are not rival take a diplomatic reputation guy). Very important that you do all this in first day befor Poland gets other allies.
-You can ask also Lithuania but first wait for the Poland-Lithuania event and ask afterwards
-During war: prepare spy network with serbia, search for allies
-Peace out Austria as fast as possible
-Peace deal: Take the gold mine in Nitra-region and a border with Serbia
-Have a claim on Serbia go to war and take Kosovo
if you manage to get two gold mines you are unstopable
-Next war: Byzanthium if still exist or Venice (take city of Venice and Istria and make Venice you mane trade Node)
For Castile: Reverse Roles Treaty of Tordesillas Run
Only expand in historically Portugese Colonial Lands
Brazil, Africa, India, Indonesia
You missed the opportunity to make the pirates of carib
Yeah true lol
Never really know how pirates work
@@TheRedHawkmake pirate tiano
Now that you are playing the season C, I have a suggestion for my "hometown nation" of Cilli... Since its flag consists of stars and red and white stripes, you should use them to form another nation with that type of flag - United States (also completing the "Dont Be Cilli" achievement on the way)
Or something even more crazy, an alternative history where the hausburg fell and the counts of celje got all their lands (Austria, Hungary, maybe even spain)
I just did your byzantium guide, and it worked like a charm! I whooped them, and now i own almost all of the Balkans in 1470 thanks to you, also got a lucky radical reform event so I'm doing well mana wise too. I binged your whole A-Z series now, and I gotta say it's like the only series I watch in recent times. Best EU4 creator award goes to...
I recently did Byzantium too and won then around 1600 lost to a huge coalition 🥲
i dont play eu4
😜
As Castille you should built a colonial nation, release it, play as it and conquers all of Spain
There's one thing you didn't notice and I think it's worth mentioning: at 18:27 you can see from Castile's allies that Naples formed the Two Sicilies. It's literally the first time I've ever seen ai Naples do that, both in my own games and other people's. It's unfortunate that it went unnoticed due to you playing a native nation
I think it something to do with the new update, before it came i dont think i ever saw it happen, after the update im seeing it in like 25% of my games
I have seen it once half a year or so ago
Man, Castille is such a large and popular country, I can't decide on a single suggestion. So here goes three:
1)As a throwback to Aztec game, conquer their capital in multiplayer. Aztecs and their full alliance network are human players.
2)As you establish your first colony, switch to it, break free and take enough provinces in Seville trade node that you become the dominant trade power there and set your trade capital there. Or just conquer Iberia.
3)As a nice guy Castille, make sure that Granada survives and prospers and eventually forms Andalusia. No vassalizing allowed. And if you can de-ironman your save file, set the remaining centuries to observer mode.
As Castille form Russia and reach the Pacific the "proper" way, without colonists.
I'm binging all of your content. Your advice and sense of humor go hand in hand to make some really great content! Keep up your great work!
Nicely done this time. This was very fun to watch :D
25:23 That has to be inspired by the intro of Avatar the Last Airbender :D
When you play other tribes Consider no cb dec war and vassalize. Sometimes it’s good to just have a few vassals. Don’t build a fort anywhere. Build it in the worse terrain for your enemies as possible my good sir. Great game fun to watch.
Red Hawk please continue this gameplay after you A-Z! This episode was really cool and I'd love to see you conquering British Islands as Carib as revenge to them trying to take your lands :D
For Castile: Flip the script and form Andalusia. Yes, it's possible.
just watched someone else form arabia as castille. So it would have to be something big like that. Andalucia is too small for the Hawk
@@whollibaugh Oh I got it: form the Caliphate, while being Spain. Is that cursed enough?
Congrats for the first success as a native nation.
Carib is the 3rd native nation, you did Aztec and Arawak.
I love this series, I like seeing and learning all the different nations but Im always excited to see what goal you'll put on yourself!
Coptic Castille as Holy Roman Emperor
Donated max to you on the Humble Bundle offer! Keep the good work. Love you
I'm kinda disappointed you didn't go for my Carib-Bean suggestion, but you did get the Caribbean itself so it kinda makes up for it.
As Castille, Become the Great Power who can get Britain and France as their own wife.
As Castille: become Holy Roman Emperor, without killing France.
As Castile instead of colonising and getting personal unions, maybe switch to Sunni and Andalusian primary culture and form Andalusia to wage the *de*-conquista against Catholic Europe instead. Lots of fun and completely cursed.
Funnily enough, the Arawak video was the first one that got me into EU4 content! Also, this is the third native nation, let's not forget about Aztec!
I would love to see your attempt at a passifist/no war Ottoman when you get to them.
That'll be in 2027 at the earliest lol
i think someone did it already so you could check that out in the meantime
@@DaGaJbmKojJe yeah. I think i saw that. Proberly where i got the idear from. Still Red Hawk is the best at making fun and entertaining challenges. Hence the reason i suggest it.
Quarbit already did that and it was very boring
As Spain is the home of Tapas take one small province from every non OPM in Europe ! Without linked borders if possible for how good it would look!!
As Castile, try to establish the old way to the India - no colonies and explorations, just by conquering stuff in Egypt, Arabia etc.
Bonus challenge - by conquering arabia and egypt make Genoa node the richest in the world
As Castile Own all of the Caucus region and Unite Iberia
One of these natives this series I recommend forming a federation, the mechanics are super interesting!
Don't do it as a south American
Gave you a good amount, thanks for the content man, trying to learn EU4 now myself
It was really cool to see your navy absolutely wreck the Portuguese and English navies, feels like you are a native pirate horde lol
As Castille, well, be still and survive without declaring any offensive wars!
Yo Red Hawk, just out of curiosity, where you from?.. Awesome vid as usual
I already got all the DLCs but I spent $35 just to donate to you and charity. Love this series.
As Castille rule all the peninsulas in Europe
As Castile rush to Taiwan establish colony there, invade Ming convert them to Catholic abandon Iberia, create new Celestial Spanish Empire.
For Castile, conquer Egypt like how Zlewikk did in his April Fools video
When you annexed carabais and started laughing, it sounded like the count from sesame street 😂
It was only a few months ago I got this game and I was TERRIBLE at it but after discovering your channel I got addicted and I’d like to think I’m better now too lol. So thanks for that hawk.
As Castile, be a 2nd Austria. Don't bother colonizing too much, play the Europe game. Try for the Burgundian inheritance and then see if you can get a strong German nation as a PU. Continue the Reconquista into N Africa.
broo love ur channel fr keep grindin🤝
Holy cow that deal is really good thank you!
Enjoy!
It would have been a very good 2ndary objective to own the entire caribean for CARIBean.
18:13 “Feels good mun” this is a live update to you from Red Hawk Accent Watch, a new clue to his national identity has been spotted…
>>>Very Important Information for Red Hawk
IRL Carib is the tribe for which the Caribbean Sea is named. By the time the Europeans arrived, they had occupied many of the islands in the Antilles.
Conquer all yellow tags as Castille. Especally Scotland as it has the same colour as Castlle.
I know it's not too creative, but Castile should be a massive flex. Speedrun a four-front World Conquest and Colonization. Africa, Americas, Asia, and Europe, all at the same time. Your date of completion is your score.
Hey Hawk, it would be epic if you turned this into a series trying to go for a WC as Carib. Difficult, but I think you could do it!
GG, man. Castile will be fun to watch.
My favorite game was getting "No Pirates in my Caribbean" As Carib. Migrated to haiti for that trade and did pretty well stealing the azores from Portugal which gave me western neighbors for tech, and my lack of gold let me ally France
finally, the mighty Carib.
I have a idea, would you could do after finishing A-Z: Do another A-Z, but then take a nation of every letter to do a world conquest.
As Castille you could become Emperor of the HRE, form the Netherlands and if you want to play a longer campaign, win the league war on the protestant side and become then (again) Emperor. At the same time you should dominate Europe PUing at least Aragon, Portugal, Naples, Austria and Great Britain.
Nice Dude. Even though I only know EU4 from YT, I like your channel - every time you say "pain", I have to laugh :D
Now as I don't play the game myself, I don't know if it is possible, but as Castille, can you flip muslim and form Al Andalus? And then conquer the pope?
It's possible. I believe Andalusia is a culture tag but idk
same. I dont play either. Fun to watch tho
Actually, you can leave New Granada one province so that you can conquer its newly conolized provinces later, or the provinces will be owned by castile
Imagine being Spanish in this alt universe. You find a bunch of "uncivilized" land to develop, and suddenly a Great Power pops up while you weren't looking.
Ok so for Castile, this one is nuts so I highly doubt you could fit it into an A to Z. But basically, conquer all nations that speak a Romance language today, so, Romania, Italy, France, Portugal and all of Latin and South America.
Its not too strange to me that it was popular. Its a really tough start so we really get to see how you flex your EU4 muscles.
When I played Arawak I was pissed at the mechanics and disabled conquest of paradise. I nocb’ed Lima and established power in Peru, but Castile settled near Colombia first and took aim at me. I feel that this was cheap anyway, and that it’s more legitimate to play around reform mechanics.
That said, playing as a migratory tribe in SA seems quite difficult. At least with a North American federation you can acquire 500+ dev in the process. The Siberian tags somewhat count as native, but you can migrate once and get adjacency to other tribes, then nocb Manchuria or Indonesia. They don’t seem to be limited like colonial region natives.
Hey bro, good video. Good stuff, I love native videos, they are my fav.
My suggestion for those distant South American nations... Migrate over to the Incan lands and rejoice with the gold and alllll that goodness. Also, Federations are awesome. Have to treat them like the HRE on a very very base level. Make it as big as you can before taking over...
Also... Make a giant fantastic navy, and eventually you win vs Europe.
Ooo bro! I also remembered! Make sure to get those Caribbean Great project in Havana, Cartagena and Tortuga and your navy is fantastic.
Going from the free base game from epic games to all dlc all at once is the most confusing thing, it's like I'm playing a different game.
I can't believe he managed to win an A to Z as a migratory tribal nation :O gg
Is Croatia next? There is one fairly easy achivement, puting Croatian cavalry unit in Stockholm
My first succesful game was a carib campaign, great ideas and overall chill game
Nice, I wouldn't call it a win yet though. I played Shoshone in the Pacific Northwest and owned from Pacific Canada to Baja Peninsula, over to New Orleans and slowly lost it all. It's hard to hold.
Not having to spend 450$ CAD was amazing and some money went to charity.
As castile have a castle in every province.
A great victory against the colonizers
Carib are one of the most fun native nations IMO
When you get deeper into the C’s when it turns to CU you should do a custom nation. That would be fire
Goal 1: Conquer all of Spain's historical areas as Castile (no Iberian wedding) including becoming Holy Roman Emperor, Goal 2: Reform the Holy Roman Empire as Castile
As Castille you should reverse the Reconquista convert to sunni and form Al-Aldalus, then settle new Grenada.
I bought the humble bundle but the keys are out of stock. Does anyone know when they will be in stock again? Cause I am very confused...
damn. i’m early. HI RED HAWK ! hope ya’ doin’ well.
Incredible luck that they didnt start colonizing in the brazil region first. You can reform out of the primitive government forms much sooner if you go take "Settle Down" and "Trading with Foreigners" reforms which will instantly convert you and your entire tribal lands to a merchant republic government type. You should be able to do that fairly consistently around 1500. Do NOT settle in though. The hard part is you'd have to fight the entire Tupi federation and claim a lot of their tribal lands in the Brazil region. As soon as the "Trading with Foreigners" reforms become available select to "Settle" in a province adjacent to the colonial regions and select the reform and Puff - you have a significant nation. Still behind on tech but not hopelessly. And you get the institutions of the invaders too in case you wondered.
I would actually like to see this campaign continued.
Congratulations! And didn't even go bankrupt 👏
you are so lucky, when i play as natives and i declare war on colonies and take land from them, right away castile declares on me
What about the generic idea sets? Will you do one of the nations that have each, or skip those over entirely?
Skip
Skip
@@TheRedHawk okay hear me out you should play Nagaur in India (Indian Sultanate ideas) and try to take Berlin since they have the Imperial German flag
That would be a cool campaign :P
Up to you though, I enjoy the videos!
i think he skips all generic
You should play in Ante Bellum next native nation and pretend nothing's wrong
As Castile, form Al-Andalus xd
I can't wait for the next ceason!
I'm so sad that we will not see Butua anymore.... such a nice name and pronunciation.
This was such a great campaign
A to Z is my favourite series.
Wait, he ignored the "Carib Caribbean"!?
twenty dollars is the price of ten good meals here in Brazil.
As Castile, get every gold province on the map!
As Castile, form Andalusia, conquer all of Iberia, and dismantle the HRE
oooh Inca Empire coming up for Cusco!
Well played! From this point on i honestly think it would be smooth sailing for you. You're already big enough so the colonizers probably wouldn't dow you again. And you could conquer the andean and mexican natives fairly easily and swim in Gold.
You could probably even hit #1 great power within the next 50 years or so. Or at least #2 - Ottos seem pretty big. They might be running away with the game.
As castile you could try to reform Andalusia and complete its mission tree
