The first few days of playing this game are something that I don't think I'll ever experience in a game again. When I finally scraped together some money for a cutlass and roc and made my way to Lorville this played as I passed through the clouds and the city became visible and I knew I was playing something truly special.
Then I crashed into the big tower but thats not important
It really is one of those mind expanding moments the first time you play the game and fly into some of the spaceports. I really hope with SQ42 now feature complete they can really push on with sorting out Star Citizen itself.

Hearing this music and thinking about what Star Citizen is about to become gives me goosebumps.
Even if it takes years, I'm still in aw of its wake of possibilities. Endless.
We're gonna listen to this track one day, in the verse, watching the sunrise while our salvage ship is being repaired in our personal hangar, and just think back to all these years, "they did it, the mother truckers actually did it".
@@Baleur when we all spread out in the verse but then make our way back to Stanton and get hit by all the old memories of funny bugs and good time with orgs.

@@Woadie757 Id say with the current way things are going about 3-5 years till we get something that we can all play and have fun in everyday but who knows, I thought that in 2016
This is so beautiful it doesnt make sense.
Somehow this composer has managed to inject beauty into a hellish world.
Like the sound of the hopes and dreams of what this planet "could have been", and the daily struggles of the common folk there who are still just trying to get by, trying to find light in the hard days, trying to find hope.
Without doubt the most moving and emotional music track within the game so far, utterly brilliant piece of work.

This inspired me to write a poem for my son, who was born in june this year.

@@pedro.camacho Thank YOU, for this superb piece of music. You see, the fact that it inspired me to think and then write about my child shows that you're able to transport the very emotions with your music, that you once injected into it. And that's what a great composer does I guess.

This music is so emotional! Its also a story of SC, hated by the gaming community at large, but the backers put faith in the project and kwpt it going, and while there are certainly things to criticize and improve, the games progress is pretty amazing.
Standing at the edge of Loreville leavsden looking onto the city during sunset as this plays, while player ships zoom in and out of the spaceport, no other games have an experience close to this.
May the future bring even greater things.

Just ignore this "Valerie" charakter. He/She/It clearly has no understanding of Star Citizen. I am not even a backer myself, but it took me all of 2 Minutes of Google searches to understand that the Price to get to play the WIP/Alpha of the Game is around 45$ and the most expensive Spaceship you could (voluntarily) buy is 2.500$. There is not a single Ship worth 10.000$ in this Game, and nobody seems to *have to buy* anything above 45, which seems like a fair price compared to most other titles.
@Valerie Why thank you, dear Valerie. Your descriptions of gameplay and your subliminal message of "Star Citizen is pay to win" interested me enough to spend another 10 Minutes on google, where i found out that the "game" seems to be a Sandbox and it's not focused on fighting against other players at all. Apparently, 90% of all missions seem to be against or with AI instead of other players. I also found out that you can earn money ingame and buy ships - such as the Prospector that seems to be the only vessel capable of mining right now - with this earned cash. Another quick search turned out that, apparently, both starter ships - a so-called "Mustang" and an "Aurora" have Cargo Hauling Capacity and Weapons, allowing the owner to do both trading, cargo missions and light combat, which should be enough to earn some cash in order to buy themselves a better ship with ingame-earned cash.
But of course, since i still haven't played a second of Star Citizen in my life (i'm stuck in Elite right now) and i only found all of these informations in about 100 different sources on the internet, i could be wrong and your brilliant theory could be right. ;)
@Valerie Well, i just figured out you know as little about Elite as you know about Star Citizen. But since you already contradicted your own statement and just 'strongly recommended', for everyone in this comment section, to buy star citizen, i assume my job here is done :)

The name of the track is ironic because its the theme for Hurston, who is known for toxic wastes, mining, and weapons testing
I didn't place a name... it was Chiff who felt this.
It's not an official name, I'm big on the lore and try to find something appropriate as a placeholder. I.E. "Creating a Better World" is a Hurston Dynamics slogan seen on signs around Lorville. To me this track feels optimistic despite the dystopian setting, so that sign came to mind.

@@pedro.camacho Hello sir, I have been struggling to find the combat music and the song from Omega pro at new Babbage. Would you be able to point me in a direction where to find it other than actually in game?
I always thought it more related to the plight of the working people on Hurston. Who seemingly are stuck working a dead end job without much hope.
When you can see the landing pad on Lorville .... Then this music start .... And you see The city in Blade Runner, in Ghost in The shell.
And after this you're start crying ....
That is my first landing in Lorville few months ago.

@@djsnoopmike I have waiting this kind of game since my childhood. So when I have landed at Lorville ... All this as exploded in my mind.
When I too first landed at Loreville it was truly inspiring and emotional. walking through the Teasa spaceport to the subway, seeing all the incredible visuals on the way. I couldnt run through it all. I just walked, slowly. Reaching the Business District was just as amazing.
What a game... Makes you wish it was real life.

I go to Lorville..then the business district,sit on the stone bench and listen to this.
Everytime I visit there..it make me happy and sad at the same time.

Watching the Live interview with Pedro on Friday, I was reminded that this track is the one that made me seek out Pedro Comacho - who is this composer - this is beyond the ordinary.
This would be the perfect movie soundtrack for when the characters are looking at old memories, it is spot on

An emotionally charged musical piece and definitely no dry eyes for sure. Surprised no one has brought up any comparisons to Mannheim Steamroller's Stille Nacht (Silent Night).
Not to bring it down to a kindergarten level but the Alphabet rhyme and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star are the same melody. People take Inspiration from wherever they can and it ends up being fantastic music. Hope you're well random stranger..

So much of the music from Star Citizen reminds me of Mass Effect and Blade Runner. Ah, I love this. So great memories of amazing games. Hopefully, one day, when Star Citizen is finished, we players can create our own Mass Effect Stories.

I don't usually have music turned up high in SC, but yesterday I was in PTU with reset settings and was just leaving the CBD on Lorville during a sunrise when this played and I genuinely got misty eyed. It's perfect.

Pedro Camacho is the only thing keeping me going in semester finals. i have to do good on these tests or i cant play star citizen and get to experience these vibes in their fullest extent within the world of star citizen.
Parking your Aurora a few km from the city boundary, getting out of your pilot seat exiting the ship at sunset and walking toward the city looking up at the sky with this music playing in the background.

Bought the soundtrack but didn't read it was a pre-order haha, not bothered at all just wish I could listen to this in super high quality now
Guess this sorta matches Hurston as a whole. We see it now as a large wasteland but it was once a planet filled with life, but pollution and weapons testing has reduced most of its surface to ash. I’m glad there are still patches of Savannah left as a reminder of what once was.

It is. This music is from the Star Citizen game.
I can't tell if this is sarcasm, or if you actually don't know that this is actually from a real game, a game that you can actually play right now. It is however in production, but you can play the Alpha of it. And that is where this music is from. One of the most complete early Alphas that I have ever played. Feels a bit more like a game then an Alpha.
@@ironman98 You are kidding, right? I love Star Citizen, but it definitely isn't "one of the most complete early alphas". Not with the amount of bugs, issues and still enormous lack of content, mrchanics and gameplay from what it's one day meant to be. Star Citizen still has a very long way to go. However, Im still eagerly following its development and partaking in every patch they release.

The music is nice but, in the game lore, Huston, especially Lorville is supposed to be a borderline police state. The struggle and tension of the indentured workers vs the cooperate nobility headed by the Hurston family may become more noticeable as the game matures.
To me this music feels like the dreams of a kid born on Hurston, reading the boards and believing them sincerely. At 2:02, it's like he steps outside the city gates and is met with the harsh reality of what Hurston Dynamics has really done to the world.
