- When we asked Stockholm based artist/producer Natali Noor if we could borrow the stems to one of her songs, she had no idea why or what we were up to. Being a good sport however, she sent them to us anyway. We were so excited to bring her over to the Reason Studios offices to reveal for her what we were up to and proceed to blow her mind, while inspiring her in the process. A big shout out to Ian Kirkpatrick for being willing to invite us into his studio as well to watch his process a work! Keep your eye out for Natali Noor and her single Pari Mon Cheri because we think it's a total hit!

100% agree. This is the real meat and potatoes- to watch in real-time and be there when real things happen in the studio. Love how he respects the song and looks for ways he can serve the song, not blast crazy solos that trample her vocals. Learn.

had the pleasure to work with natali a couple years ago - she is insanely talented, crazy good voice and sings every note just perfectly. She also showed some of her music and everything just sounded fat and well thought out. Apart of that she is very humble and nice to be around.
Would like to see the full 5 hour session. Watching Ian do this magic is like going to Disney world for the very first time! Beyond your wildest imagination!

Ian was really good at articulating the purpose of what he did. This made it really easy to learn, not just some "tricks", but the mentality and objectives behind it. Great stuff! Way to may production videos just show of neat tricks, but then don't really help you get a clear picture of what purpose those tricks do to the track, and what purpose they serve.

The original song idea was good but Kirk took it to a whole other Level, the guys a bit of a genius. On a side note good to see Ryan, He been missing a while, yesterday I asked Chris Reed "where's Ryan?" Then next day here He is.

The dude is a genius. Before the very end, the ideas weren't sounding finished, but the real end mix is dope. I wonder how many more hours it took apart from those 5. I think around 5 more hours on top to tidy things up. But the end result is awesome! And it's cool that he shares his knowledge! He made a long way and it would be pitty to not leave his experience for younger generations

I can only remember one or two occasions when I commited to changes as fluidly as shown here, yet when I'm critiquing other songs i seem to catalogue a list of things to change after just a couple of takes, such is the power of a fresh perspective.
Ian's reaction to Parsec was quite entertaining. Wait until you discover the vocoder section! I was in a band and used it live and it's amazing.

This was a really cool and fun video to watch. I think descriptor "producer" has sort of just shifted into meaning "writer/creator" and this really highlights an additional capability of producers that gets ignored by a lot of people. Would love to see more of this kind of stuff.

I remember seeing Ian Kirkpatrick featured in a splice ad and it showed him walking in his house to his home studio and it looked so gorgeous. His home studio looks like a dream come true.

He elevated the flow and brought her voice out as the main focus. As an artist/producer I put in so much - you gotta know where to trim the fat/noise and stay true the embodiment of the song.

This was really insightful on how top producers remix. I do know from experience of independent remixing that I’d still be fiddling with the kick sample, going through endless samples probably waiting an hour 😅

It would have been cool if the song had been released on the same day as this video.
The video would of been made before this music released. They publish the video once the song is protected and registered on Ascap or where ever. With that its probably set for release very soon.
@@HOLLASOUNDS They could simply hold the video back until the release date of the single. Now Natali loses some momentum when people cannot find the song.
@@arnovveiss Thats not how it works, there was one video on this channel that was playing a Jess Glynne production but didn't say her name. The video was should the song being made and they said "This is for a female artist Im producing this song for" anyway that video came out months after the song had been a big success, it was all over the radio, so obviously is not as simple as You describe, theres agreements legal restrictions and so on, and every artist is different.
