Looks a great product! I have a Black Spirit 200 amp head (which allows its own cab sims to be turned off) which I use with an FRFR cab (regular guitar cab with an F12 x200 speaker fitted connected from the speak out). Would I be able to use with this method and where would it appear in the chain?

Would this be good if i was running a large pedalboard directly into a PA without an amp? And would a preamp pedal be needed as well?

How loud does the volume go? My tonelab ST max output is low so i hope the Sonicake IR can dish out a lot more volume.

The distortion tones was by your drive channel of the peavey preamp or the pedal also have Dist simulation?
The distortion is from the Peavey.

Help needed: I'm using the Sonicake IR with impulses from Mendel (Yellow IR pack). They are in 24bit/44.1kHz .wav format. I had to use the online converter in order to use it with the pedal but after the conversion the original file size dropped to 4 kbit and it sounds different from what I hear using an IR loader with the original impulse in my DAW. Is this normal?
Well, that depends a lot on the converter. The drop in size is normal, and as you're changing the sample of the IR it will probably sound different too. You may want to try other converters.

Yes, the IR just emulates a cabinet, without a preamp you have no sound.
Question, will I be able to use a preamp type pedal like a REVVg4 or be od, into the ir loader, into a frfr headrush? Will it sound good? Is it meant to do that?... Thanks 👍
Technically that will work, now, regarding the results, you need to be the judge. Tone is VERY subjective.

1) it says I have to rename as 01 my ir 4x12 , is it this 4x12 is must ? for example if i have a ir named = greenback sm58 center ( will work if I just put 01 in the beginning ? or 4x12 or 2x12 is must ?
2) memory is only 236 kB ,what to do If i have ir like 500 kB is there way to compress? or convert those big it's ?
1) 4x12 is not be must. The "01" or "08" is the most important.
2) IR can be only recognized 1024 points. You can cut the IR short with a DAW.

Yes, it is, but you don't have independent control over each.
Hi. Can I use XRL Out for the FOH with cab sim and the other standard out with out cab sim in order to plug it in my amp or poweramp?

I guess you must be talking about "GO!" if it's that we're not familiar with it. As long as it's a standard IR file anything will work.

You could create a tutorial on the pedal, as there is very little about it on youtube.
There is no need for a tutorial, as it's very simple to use: No dedicated software just plug and play to your laptop. Drag and drop your IR files and that's it.

The IR comes right after your AMP in any connection.

I don't know what happens, but most of the impulse response I carry to use on the pedal, doesn't work. Especially the acoustic guitar files. Is there a specific file configuration for the pedal to read? If so, what would it be?

@@SONICAKE I've followed all instructions and checked all details, but I have not been successful in loading any IRs other than the stock ones. I can load them on the pedal ok, but they make no sound, only bypass when selected.
This is a decent-sounding IR loader, but I have still not yet been successful in loading 3rd party IRs. I have followed the instructions implicitly and I have double and triple checked (x100) that I have everything correct: file format, samplie rate, bit-depth. EVERYTHING. But every time I load one of my own IRs it just sounds as bypass signal when I try it out.
I like the stock cabs, so I use them anyway, but sadly I never got to load any other IRs successfully. Still good bang for the buck though.

@@RobCmusic How did you fix this? I've tried loading 3rd party IRs and the unit becomes non functional after i eject the USB. My computer no longer recognises the device either and no sound is passed through. Help!

Yes, this will replace your CAB, as it's a CAB sim, you will still need a preamp or AMP sim.

you can place it according to that. Straight into an amp doesn't make much sense… but like everything regarding tone… it can work for you.

If you want this pedal to work with your multieffects unit, you have to disable CAB or SPK or Speaker simulation in all your presets or all your banks. That way the SoniCake will be doing its job properly. Of course, you can leave the AMP simulation ON
do I need a power amp pedal? or can I use only my preamp? I was trying to use with my revv g3 and the sound is super muffled
This should replace your CAB, how are you connecting this? How is your signal chgain?

This would be more helpful if it compared the source signal with and without the effect.
Not really. The direct signal from an amp before it hits the speaker sounds horrid. There would be no benefit to playing that signal.
What is the the input/output latency?

Hi! How can I load my IR on this pedal? Do I need any specific software?
No need for other software. Here is the operation guide:
Connect to computer to import your IR files. The Sonic
IR will be recognized as a USB disk when connected.
To import an IR file:
1.Drag and drop an IR file into the USB disk. The IR file should be a 24-bit, 44.1kHz mono wav file ONLY. File name should start with a location number ranging from 01-11 (e.g. “06 My IR 4x12” is a correct name; the “06” indicates the location the file will be saved).
2.Delete the original file with the same location number.
3.Delete the “FILELIST” file in the USB disk.
4.Eject and restart the unit.

1. Conecta o Pedal no micro ligando ele na energia e usando cabo C x USB. Vai aparecer um dispositivo no explorer.
Nota I - Em primeiro lugar faça backup dos IRs padrão.
2. Abra uma outra janela do explorador de arquivos, mostrando o IR que você deseja carregar (de violão);
3. Na janela do Sonic IR, delete o arquivo chamado “FILELIST” e exclua o IR que não te interessa;
Nota II - O IR de terceiros deve ser um arquivo WAV, mono de 44,1 kHz de 24 bits e o arquivo carregado não pode exceder 1 MB.
4. Adicione o número ao início do arquivo para a posição que você deseja
assumir o pedal Sonic IR. Os números válidos são de 01 a 11.
Exemplo: 01.Violão Martin. Neste exemplo, estou substituindo a primeira posição IR, então adicionado 01 ao arquivo IR que vou copiar.
Finalizando:
1. Desconecta a unidade USB do Windows;
2. Reinicia o Sonic IR desconectando o USB e a alimentação;
3. Depois de fazer isso, agora você pode conectá-lo de volta à alimentação.
Este pedal lê até quantos milissegundos? Quero carregar um ir de 44.1khz e 350 ms.
Sonic IR usually reads 20ms, but as long as the imported audio format is correct, 350ms files are also fine, please notice even if importing 350ms files, we will only fetch 20ms content.

They could of simply said to you "if you didn't back up the stock files they are lost". This makes this pedal not worth buying used as you won;t know if the stock files have been deleted or not. That's a shame.

I got mine today. My pedals through it,and even the trusty old Pod 2 sound absolute dreadful into my DAaw so far(Logic). 😟I'm so disappointed initially. Everything sounds so muffled.its unusable. I can't think how I'm doing anything wrong,but I hope I am. Pedals that sound fantastic into. The clean channel of an amp,all sound like crap going into the I.R pedal,then into the DAW. I've tried XLR and normal output too. I may have to just sell it right away at a loss if I can't somehow find a use for it. I bought it directly from Sonicake on eBay.

@@SONICAKE you know like a festival stage, i dont know exactly how far but something like that...for example in the past i had Line6 Firehawk Fx, i just direct to F.O.H/P.A without DI Box using balanced output and work nicely...
