Breaking bad is such a tragic story. But it is one of the most well-written stories I’ve ever watched. I really wish I could go back and watch the series again for the first time.
I love the ending of this episode so much. The fact that the creators showed enough restraint to save the full theme song for this one moment is so great, especially since the song itself is damn good. Any lesser director and showrunner would overuse the theme, but the fact that they never used it until the PENULTIMATE episode in a five season show is pretty wild.
Yeah! They used just in the right moment, when seems like its really over, and that song sounding making you understand that there is one more move for the great Heisenberg!
Three things that Walter White realized about what he saw on the TV: 1. Gray Matters were giving money away to those who were affected by drug abuse as a charity event. 2. Blue Meth was still being sold even though Heisenberg already quit, leading to Walt realizing that Jesse is still alive. 3. They said that Walt had no contribution to the company that he helped made, this gave him motivation to put these people in their place. I f*cking love this show 😵
“If I’m lucky, month from now, best case scenario I’m managing a Cinnabon in Omaha.” I love this line from Saul mainly because this is what happens in the opening of Better Call Saul.
Genuinely thought you meant the film 'Face Off' for a moment and was genuinely curious as to what this episode had to do with a Nic Cage/John Travolta movie
It’s good but I don’t agree it surpassed Face Off’s, as this is more about getting you excited for what’s to come next. You could watch the end of Face Off and be satisfied with not watching any more, but this requires further viewing to pay off.
@@Mark01gtyeah i agree because after the fight and him going "we're a family" then seeing said family terrified of him he wanted to try and take the last bit of good he had left that would've still liked him, but he wasnt really around holly much and she was literally calling for skylar and avoiding walts touch lool

"It's over." I think at that moment Saul knew that no one, not Mike, not Gus, not Walt had anymore power over him. He backed up but when Walt started coughing he knew Walt couldn't do anything. Saul got the last laugh on everyone and got away, and I love that.

I love that ending. It's one of the best endings in the series, and that's saying something considering how amazing this series is. That scene with Flynn telling Walt he wish he would just die actually made me feel bad for Walt. 29:02 - Rana - "...whatever happens, happens." So weird because I saw her talking about that phrase earlier today while watching the "Lost" episode "Whatever Happened, Happened."
Maybe The saddest, most devastating tv episode of all time. It’s a portrayal of the utter destruction of all that one held dear, it’s all roads ended, good times completely gone never to return, the brutal killing of love, with all hope forever lost. Only pain, loneliness, devastation, loss and an empty, hallowed out existence remain. It’s the running tab come due. When I rewatch BB every year, I often cannot watch this one episode, just because it’s utterly soul crushing. To me, it’s deliberate, quiet devastation (even in the way the silencer sounds so hushed in the pulled back scene of poor Andrea) in a tragic stillness of absolute and final loss hits me even harder than Ozymandias. It’s also very underrated.
Rana: "Oh, my god, they're horrible people." Um, yeah, Rana. They're *Nazis* . Also, you guys *need* to watch and react to Death Note. One of the best anime of all time.
Ugh that comparison of Saul with Walt’s coughing to the moment when you realize your parents are actually people is SO GOOD. I love you guys and will miss these reactions every week 💕
This is the most badass thing I have ever seen. When the theme starts playing and Walt getting pissed off holy shit it was incredible. The fact that the main theme plays once in the show itself and it’s this moment here makes it so damn good. Walt’s at his lowest point, he’s wanted everywhere and by everyone, his family and Jesse hate him and his money is gone. But just to top it all of his “friend” makes fun of him and diminishes his intellect that one thing triggered him. The Heisenberg is back for one last time to take everything back.
The greatest cliff hanger in history. That theme song at the end representing Heisenberg is back for 1 more last ride ALWAYS GIVES ME CHILLS! Walter went from a weak man who gave up and wanted to die to being super pissed and motivated for revenge.

Damn they're really pushing Walt in that interview. First they denied is contribution to the founding of the company. To an genius brain like Walt that's insulting at the highest level. Then they revealed that blue meth, representing his pride, was still being produced and distributed out there by someone else. Finally they said that Walter White had gone forever. Heisenberg was all that left. Thank you mr and mrs Elliott. When Walt was about to give up, you two went on TV and pushed him. Rather than rot in prison, Walt died a badass among his proud product and corpses of scumbags. Of course he even saved Pinkman, a good man with a good heart. And you two were going to give money to Skyler and Walt Jr. You're good friends of Walt after all 🙂.
Sepia1989 They still aren’t good friends of his. The only reason they will give Skyler and his kids the money is because they are afraid to die. Walt scared them into thinking he has the best hit men following them waiting for them to not go through with giving that money to his family. As far as they know, if they don’t do it they will be killed. That’s the only reason they’ll do it. Without the threat they never would’ve agreed

By the way, if you want to see what happens to Saul and his backstory, there is a series called "Better call Saul". Its a great prequel and sequel to this story.
BCS is fun, but man... it's just so much backstory. From the beginning of that show, I've wanted to see Saul Goodman getting into crazy situations helping out other criminals. I want to see him learn to be a "criminal lawyer", to have clients he advised well that get too greedy and get caught, or dumb criminals who listen to him and get out of trouble due to his legal trickery... I want more of the kind of help that Saul provided to Walt and Jesse. It's now been nearly FIVE YEARS since BCS premiered and we still haven't gotten one second of Saul Goodman crazyness. I'm really worried that season 5 will just lead to him getting set up in Albuquerque under the name Saul Goodman, then we'll get some tiny montage of him helping criminals and they'll end it with him meeting Walt and Jesse.... basically skipping past everything in Saul's story that I wanted to see. I don't really care about long history of Slippin Jimmy... I want full out Saul Goodman hijinks, helping criminals avoid the law. I hope season 5 will finally deliver it.
Seems like some people don't understand what Gretchen and Elliot were doing in that interview. It was damage control 101. PR to save the image of their company. Pretty normal for the owners of a company to speak out against their involvement with a big drug kingpin.
It seems like a silly lie though; I mean, Elliot and Walter share a Nobel prize for the discovery of the first chemical compounds the company was based on selling, don't they? We see it at the start of the first episode; so, how can you deny that? Would have been smarter to say he used to be a huge help, but all the drug stuff happened later in life after Walter moved away from the company... _But_ if they had said that we wouldn't have had the flaming inferno of vengeance coming for them in the next episode from Walt =p
They didn’t go there to talk about Walter White. This was supposed to be about their newly implemented addict treatment program. It’s the interviewer who brings up Walter White and refuses to let it go. It’s also not damage control because everything Gretchen and Elliot say is accurate and truthful. Water didn’t become a drug kingpin until 20 years after he left Gray Matters. Walter came up with the name and not much else (everyone is always vague and evasive when it comes to the science/formula he supposedly invented, but they’re all clear about who came up with the name). Walter left Gray Matters and sold his portion before the company got big, so he has no claim to it now nor did he have any involvement with its success.
Walt is going to cleanse his sins with the blood of his enemies. Blood for Blood until the cycle of hellish fire finally subsides. All things must in with ice and fire, love and hate. LOVE this fucking show!!!
You could pinpoint the demise of Gus, Walt, and Andrea to when Jesse decided to sell meth to recovering addicts. Granted Walt and Gus were always going to have it out at some point.
29:20 What the fuck? Death Note did NOT influence Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad was inspired by The Sopranos. Vince Gilligan confirmed this. For as intelligent as Hannah is, I have noticed that she says a lot of baffling and dumb things that she states as "fact".
What Hannah said about Death Note and Breaking Bad makes sense to me, like Walter and Light are both like the villains of their shows even though they're the protagonists. I never finished Death Note (got to around episode 15 I think) because I hated Light too much so I'm not sure exactly how similar they are, but I'm sure there's more than just that.
For anyone who's never had to put an IV in, just imagine trying to stick a needle into a wet noodle without the needle going all the way through that noodle.
Walt was willing to give up on his millions to save Hank's life. Him trying not to bring Skyler down with him was not the only good thing he did recently
OMFG I never realized till now that the last scene is Walt's face portrayed with the shot glass. You can even see the fucking hat and beard if you pay attention.
Yeah I wouldn't have ever expected Jesse to be capable of a one armed hold like that on the diet he was on and he actually looked buffer than usual ironically versus the usual nearly anorexic Jesse.
nothing wrong with that... let the man enjoy the long hair while he can. once you learn to style long hair a certain way you can cover things up well... the wrestler Shawn Michaels had long hair with a big time bald spot for about 10 years, but you could almost never see the spot because of how he had his hair pulled back
Remember like a reaction or two ago when hannah said something along the lines of walt inst a gangster no more I dont recall the. Exact phrasing but keep that same energy next episode cx
if only GOT had done a lot of things... but you know, GOT's terribleness is what led me to want to relive seeing shows like Lost and Breaking Bad, and that's what led me to reaction channels and finding the Normies channel, so at least there's a silver lining to that cloud
Yeah, it's all Jesse's fault. Not the dealers who got his brother involved in drugs. Not the psychopath who executed his mother just because Jesse tried to escape. Not Walt, who told Jack about Andrea and Brock. Its ALL because of Jesse.
The ending where the intro music starts up has to be a top moment in the whole show and that’s saying something

For as intelligent as Hannah is, I have noticed that she says a lot of baffling and dumb things that she states as "fact".
"He's so gonna get out"
How optimistic
This last scene is just incredible. I just wanted Walt to put the heisenberg hat down with the glass.
beard dude doesn't get enough sleep. go to bed dude.
There were times where I hated Walt, times I respected him, and times I felt deeply sorry for him
They don't discuss Walt's viewpoint enough
For anyone who's never had to put an IV in, just imagine trying to stick a needle into a wet noodle without the needle going all the way through that noodle.
im so happy this was uploaded, was trying to find something fun to watch nice
I love y'all! you guys are so cool!
When the theme starts playing I knew the shit is getting real
If this scene wasn't cool enough, just adding the song made it one of the best scene within the whole show.
Other than crawl space the ending of this episode is the best in the show the best finally used the full theme song one time and it was perfect
Walt was willing to give up on his millions to save Hank's life. Him trying not to bring Skyler down with him was not the only good thing he did recently
death note would be a bomb ass reaction. especially with nahid
7 human touches a day for a person to be happy?.......Guess i've not been happy for a long time.
This is a dark episode
Hannah: It takes seven human touches for an average person to be able to be happy.
Me, not seeing a soul for 6 months: ... fuck.
Jesse just used the last of his meth strength
Wish Saul made it to the finale.
One more left! Fantastic episode Walter White is done when he turns himself in. Heisenberg on the other hand is far from done!
Aaron Paul's crying is just too real and painful to watch, I can't even....
Nahid’s going bald. I predict a combover by mid 2020
Isn't Nahid in his 30s? I wonder why he's balding so fast.
nothing wrong with that... let the man enjoy the long hair while he can.
once you learn to style long hair a certain way you can cover things up well... the wrestler Shawn Michaels had long hair with a big time bald spot for about 10 years, but you could almost never see the spot because of how he had his hair pulled back
Bald is Heisenberg. Bald is good.
Yeah, Death Note and Breaking Bad are very much cut from the same cloth. Except Light's 'letting Jane die' moment is like... episode 2.
I wish you guys did a double upload for the finale
They did. Final episode is up now.
Can't wait for Better Call Saul :)
Remember like a reaction or two ago when hannah said something along the lines of walt inst a gangster no more I dont recall the. Exact phrasing but keep that same energy next episode cx
After Gus Fring died people thought, was could they bring now that reaches that level?
And then season 5 came!!!! if only GOT had done that.....
if only GOT had done a lot of things... but you know, GOT's terribleness is what led me to want to relive seeing shows like Lost and Breaking Bad, and that's what led me to reaction channels and finding the Normies channel, so at least there's a silver lining to that cloud
Just imagine Brock having to find his mother like that. Truthfully because of Jesse everyone Brock love is dead
Yeah, it's all Jesse's fault. Not the dealers who got his brother involved in drugs. Not the psychopath who executed his mother just because Jesse tried to escape. Not Walt, who told Jack about Andrea and Brock. Its ALL because of Jesse.
Yeah let's just blame everything on Jesse instead of Walt. That's fair 😒
Full theme is so lit
Jesse shoulda left with the vacuum guy when he had a chance
Yeah but what about Andrea and Brock like he couldn't just leave them.
Nurses can never find my veins I get stuck like a pincushion every time lol
