I just discovered this channel, and I must say that you do a great job. Thank you! In addition, Mark is such a polite guy. I actually want to see Epica members more in there :)
Thanks a ton for watching and commenting, John. Yeah, it was a real blast hanging with Mark. He is such an interesting person with lots of great ideas and awesome attitude. Cheers back from Switzerland! :) Sebi
Not a big fan of Epica but the interview was very interesting to listen. Mark has a really adult vision of a situation in a metal music industry nowadays.
Just discovered this channel today and wanted to say "fantastic job" on the quality of the videos, professionalism of the interviews, pleasant demeanor of the interviewer, great artist choices, etc. As an up-and-coming band looking for whatever advice we can get on the business side of metal, this is a great resource! Thanks!
I'm from Venezuela. I'm sorry you guys went through it twice We love you! You have a great band! Also, I just discovered this channel. Such an interesting interview! Thank you very much!
You know what... I think a good way to promote your band in a different way to get attention in these times would hanging up posters :D Because think about it... Nobody does that anymore. If some band would do that wouldn't you wonder what kind of band uses posters these days? I would check them out :D Plus posters were awesome. I still have loads of them from the bands that I was in. Here in Lithuania we used to hang poster even 5 years ago. Now it's kind of gone. But we used to do that not that long ago :D
Cool idea, I also love posters! Here in Switzerland we actually still use posters a lot to promote any kind of event. Especially in urban areas posters and billboards are a popular mean of communication. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, Evaldas. /Sebi
I think in the modern era, bands need to focus on fan-merch more. Epica being an example, I discovered them when I was 18. I am 31 now, with a house and a man-cave to do with what I please. I would love to spend $25 dollars a pop on high quality album art posters from each Epica album, but they do not sell them. Their website only has a couple of rando items that don't really interest me. A missed opportunity; other bands should not repeat the mistake, in this day and age of music.
Mark seems like an awesome human being
Thanks for watching, Jolie. Mark was very nice and fun to hangout with. /Sebi
I love him and I love Epica (and Mayan). He's so intelligent, kind and nice, always with a smile and a presence that fascinates and inspires me :)
He is so sweet, kind, polite and professional and talented. ❤ Love him even more, my fav composer on the symphonic metal scene.
