The Bulls are desperate. As a Bulls fan I like the trade because they did SOMETHING. You know for all the things they said they'd do when they brought 'Zo, AC, DeMar, and Vuc into the fold THREE years ago? They did nothing. Made no further moves, no trades, nada. Lost 'Zo? Did nothing. Saw DeMar and Zach did NOT work together? Did nothing. Needed size and bench scoring? Did nothing. Head coach needs changing? Nothing. Had GOOD offers for Zach the season before last, and for Alex last season? Did nothing. Additions during all that time? Goran Dragic, Andre Drummond, Torrey Craig, Jevon Carter. Post trade deadline signings of Pat Bev and...wait for it...Tristan Thompson lol. And thats it. Moved some back end bench pieces around, picked up a few lower draft picks, brough some G League guys up. So now? Finally something! I love AC. But you know how they say players like him help teams win 'chips? True. He is very good, has all the intangibles. But teams like the Bulls? Players like him help them make the play in. The best of the worst teams. Thats the Bulls. We had 39 wins last year, 40 the season before. And a roster full of talent that can help other teams. We just can't help ourselves. Poorly managed, poorly run team. Personally I would not have moved AC for Giddey alone. A draft pick would be nice too because we need to beg a team to take LaVine. Tossing in a found pick could have helped get it done. But it is what it is. The Bull have made their FIRST real move in THREE years. Sounds crazy for a team that back then said the goal was to "compete in the East to make the Finals." The Bulls will suck next season. But we got some young guys, guys to develop, a draft pick this year, and most likely a few veteran role players coming in. Let the "rebuild" begin. Oh...and if we re-sign DeMar? I'll rip my hair out😅
The only way I see giddey doing anything is if the bulls cut/trade every single player on their roster and add Malachi Flynn robin lopez Bronny James and muggsie Boggs at center who I’m taller than I’m in 7th grade Lineup would be: PG Josh giddey SG Malacin Flynn SF Bronny James PF Taj Gibson C Muggsie Boggs
