This video is definitely mine! Was reading an article on Coursera, and was confused on seeing ressentir and se sentir. Then the notification came in. Thank you for this very clear explanation. Hope your voice gets better. It's not terribly noticeable. Merci beaucoup.
Even with your voice off, you are still a master on teaching pronunciation. This particular verb is very similar on Spanish so I find it quite easy once again as it's my native language. My best wishes to you and your voice!
New here. I DO appreciate your style of teaching. Where may I find a little more basic lessons please? My last French class was LONG before you were born.
Hi :) If you go to my website and grab the self-study guide (Click on Freebies), you can follow all the lessons in order starting from the beginning :)
Hi Dylane. Thank you for the video. In my French dictionary, sentir and ressentir are synonyms, the example phrases are: sentir la soif, ressentir la soif. I did a Google search and found both exist.
nice targeted lesson merci beaucoup. I think it's not worth bothering with giving conjugation tables anymore (other than the examples you gave which were good) as I use wictionary which is excellent and exhaustive for all french conjugation questions. Also the grammar note about what follows each verb is a bit disjointed with the examples. I'd do the examples first and then summarise with the grammar generalisation. this is easier for people to see the connection.
Bonjour Dylane. Je suis vraiment désolé pour ta voix et j'espère que tu te remettras au plus vite. J'apprécie tous vos efforts, merci du fond du cœur. À bientôt. 🤗🙏👍
Madame Dylane, E after double SS or double consonants is pronounce as e accent grave I thought ? Please clarify for me. Your lessons as always are perfect.
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane I am sorry I made a mistake with my question, I need to know if ressentir is pronounce with e accent grave or e in the first re ? I knew e accent grave is before two consonants, I am sorry for the confusion.
Merci ! 1) La prononciation est super utile - il ma fallu deux fois pour comprendre "entre eux" et pas "entre" Donc les phrases avec eux me sont difficiles à entendre. 2) Est-ce le médecin dirait « que ressens -tu ? » en général.
Great question Joe! I smell badly (I don't have a good sense of smell): Mon sens de l'odorat n'est pas bon I smell bad (I have bad body odor): Je sens mauvais :)
So for the native francophone, do they see the 3 meanings for sentir as 3 separate meanings as anglophones do or do they see them all as the same thing?
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane So "je ressens" when I feel SOMETHING or some kind of pain, maybe, but (Se Sentir) is just for talking about feelings like happiness/sadness/excitement/etc. ?
Bonjour Madame, Je suis Votre abonne , je m'apelle Mrityunjay de indie . Je regards Votre video tout le jours. Perfect timing Aurora! Am I wrong or it's not the first time that we have had this perfect timing? I have a feeling of a deja vu!
Merci de mettre cette vidéo sur UA-cam. Moi, je sens que c'est pour la première fois que je comprends bien comment utiliser chacun de ces verbes.

Hi Dylane. Thank you for the video. In my French dictionary, sentir and ressentir are synonyms, the example phrases are: sentir la soif, ressentir la soif. I did a Google search and found both exist.
They do but nobody uses Sentir la soif from what I know :)

Mille mercis Dylane! I hope you feel better soon. Drink some warm tea with honey 🍯 and a bit of lemon. It should help you. 🙏💛🌼
Drinking a lot of it :D But also coffee, not sure if that one helps 😅
Hello Dylane, glad to hear you are drinking tea with honey. Yeah, I can’t stop drinking coffee even if I am sick. ☕️😆
Merci & thank you
But how can i not mix french with english or english with french during speaking
With lots of practice ;)
How many levels(like A1,A2......) are covered in your grammar and conjuction videos please tell 🙏🙏

I am sorry I made a mistake with my question, I need to know if ressentir is pronounce with e accent grave or e in the first re ?
I knew e accent grave is before two consonants, I am sorry for the confusion.
Salut Dylane ! Pourriez-vous expliquer la différence entre les verbes souvenir/se souvenir et rappeler/se rappeler
I will add it to my list :D
Merci !
1) La prononciation est super utile - il ma fallu deux fois pour comprendre "entre eux" et pas "entre"
Donc les phrases avec eux me sont difficiles à entendre.
2) Est-ce le médecin dirait « que ressens -tu ? » en général.
Je peux comprendre que tu as eu du mal à comprendre entre eux :D
Le médecin dira: Qu'est-ce que tu ressens ? - Comment est-ce que tu te sens ?
How to you express in French: I smell badly (I don't have a good sense of smell) versus I smell bad (I have bad body odor)? Merci.
Great question Joe!
I smell badly (I don't have a good sense of smell): Mon sens de l'odorat n'est pas bon
I smell bad (I have bad body odor): Je sens mauvais :)
So for the native francophone, do they see the 3 meanings for sentir as 3 separate meanings as anglophones do or do they see them all as the same thing?
Different meanings :)
Merci beaucoup ! Et le verbe “éprouver” ?
Éprouver se rapproche le plus de ressentir :)
Madame Dylane,
Ressentir has 2 ss, is it pronounce re with accent grave or re with e ?
Re with E for this one :)

Thank you🙏 Madame Dylane.
Je sens que vous vous sentirez mieux bientôt. Mes meilleurs vœux à vous.❤
J'espère que tu as raison Martin :D
J’ai entendu que vous répondez á tous les commentaires 😃
C'est vrai :D
How do you express in French: I smell like fish or I smell like flowers ?
Je sens le poisson - Je sens les fleurs
We say it the same way as I smell flowers - I smell fish
J'espère que vous vous sentez mieux
Je sens un peu mieux oui 🥰
En 2020 quand le concert de Taylor Swift aux Arenes des Nimes a annulé a cause de Covid, j'ai ressenti beaucoup de triste !
Je comprends pourquoi :(
Bonjour comment allez-vous prof
Ça va et toi?
I'am sorry Miss dylane, i heard your voice is slightly different from the previous one. Are you not feeling well?
My voice has been off for days yes :/
Je ne comprends pas encore la difference entre 'se sentir' et 'ressentir' 😕
Se sentir si about yourself (reflexive verb)
And Ressentir quelque chose :)
