Texas' father is Siracusan but it's implied that her mother is Colombian. Texas herself was born and raised in Columbia until her grandfather told her to come to Siracusa once she became an adult.
Texas cannot be Columbian, because if she was she would claim to be Taran based on the fact that her great-great-great-grandfather once visited County Hillock.
They actually made a physical book that you can buy (currently only in Chinese) which explains the fauna and history of the in-game world in details like reading a history book about real life fauna and history I have never seen any gacha did that
I mostly agree, but disagree in one area in particular... They made Yan completely devoid of the conflict and history that other nations have. Maybe they don't want to push the envelope too much on criticizing the nation that represents their own.
@@dee6561 well that's just varifiably false as it was stated several times that Yan had consistent clashes with Ursus over territory and even engages in passive-aggressive territorial disputes to this day and they also engaged in the eradication and exile of the local feranmuts in the war they waged against the feranmuts alongside Tsui. Not to mention during the reunion arc in Lungman it was shown that Yan is still trying to undermine and seize control over Lungman if they weren't able to conform to the clearly unreasonable demand from the Yanese nobles to eradicate reunion from Lungman in 1 day which lead to Wei ordering for a genocide of the local infected population. Just because Arknights bases some of their geopolitical conflicts on some irl history does not mean that they will copy current irl events and they also make up some of their own fictional disputes between nations. Also Yan in Arknights is based on china during their more seclusive period so that gives HG the free pass to remove them from most modern terran conflicts
@@virgondust It isn't false. Many people feel that Yan is treated with a safety glove compared to the rest of the nations. You can have conflict while making it completely different narratively. In this case, Yan is treated as if the conflicts are mostly inside-- and even in that inner conflict, it is as if people are against each other but with different ideals as to how the nation should be run (ex; everyone Yanese is working for the good of the nation, just in their own way). Meanwhile, other nations have institutionalized corruption running the ladder, like numerous history of slavery, debt issues, prison complex problems-- etc. Yan has a subtle pro-institutional history that no other nation has the privilege of having.

If you like the Kazimers's Capitalist Knights going out in MLG style fighting arenas, give a listen to the near light lobby music and imagine that being blasted around the stadium as you eat your hotdog and soda watching the knight games from the stands.
Rim Billiton isn't based on Australia as a whole country, it's most-likely inspired by the mining company BHP Billiton but in Arknights they made it into a semi-corporation(?) nation, thus where the labor and mining lore came from. Also the countries in Arknights isn't always refering to the refered country's current modern condition. For example: Victoria is based on Victorian era UK, Leithania isn't based on just modern Germany but the Germanic Empire (which was consisted of modern day German, Hungary, Austria, etc.) before it collapsed in 1918, and Columbia is based on the US during the Space Exploration/Cold War era (around 1950s-1960s)
Texas is from siracusano family that moved to columbia her family main branch existed at Siracusano until they were annihilated she originates from sira but growed at columbia

The crazy part about current lore, Yan even though almost 8 chapter in game, is never exposed. What we have is basically Lung Men (not Yan) which is Hong Kong or Shang hai. Thus in current game, there are actually at least 4 nations which never have their own story yet: Bolivar, Ursus, Higashi, and Yan.
tf is the entire Sui storyline then. Bolivar had Dossoles Holiday and (considering that Tecno is canon) Operation Lucent Arrowhead. Ursus had THE ENTIRE first arc. Meanwhile Minos is so forgotten you didn't even list it.
@@barcodeverifier9256 No, it exists. It was mentioned in the item description of “Frost,” a piece of furniture, where the item description says that “the paint is from Dan.” Look at the wiki.
Tbh the tech is futuristic but the geopolitical climate in arknights is similar to early early 1900's because Columbia isn't the top country yet but has a lot of influence which is the same for US in early 1900's
Actually, the people of URSUS are very kind. In the story a lot of them sacrificed themselves to save/cover characters. The Dukes of Ursus are actually bad
Some extra facts: The K in Kjerag is silent. Laterano's national passtime is domestic terrorism. The Sankta are cool with it, everybody else is quite understandably freaked out about it. There's a Victorian region called Tara. A terrorist organisation is trying to secede it from the nation, however they haven't (to our knowledge) used car bombs so far. The Mob runs Siracusa, but the mobsters themselves are basically treated like Pokémon by higher powers. Two groups which are incredibly tolerant are the Durin and the jungle region of Acahualla. Naturally they end up integrating and bonding over their mutual love for booze and tech. AEgir is basically ancient Rome with scifi tech. Most races (all the ones based on animals) are not actually native to Terra.
I don't think the nation of Arknights inspired on real nation, they are more akin to mix of culture and societal development/movement of different particular timeline of real world. the timeline is important because it create Kazimiers, the culture of medieval knight and modern capitalism, it create a unique moral challenge to Kazimiers character (Margaret vs Mlynar)
villages and what not that arent mobile cities are a thing. like yes catastrophes are a big problem and these places often dont have much in the way of communication tech so they relly on catastrophe messengers a lot thats why their so important to terra, theres no other way for a large portion of the worlds population to know of a storm coming. Why is this still a thing why do they even, money the powerful build cities, rest go to a farm or mine, welcome to the rural life with occasional originium filled mega hurricane EXTA LORE: columbia has a rather brutal system called the pioneer project where if you have debt you get kicked out of a city to become a pioneer (technically its a choice but when the police are forcing grandmas to pay up or gtfo its not really a choice) imagine the 2006 sub prime mortgage crash where instead of just taking your home you became a debt slave on a farm. a lot of farms are outside of cities. cities are feed by people with practically no protection against catastrophes other then "just move!!" catastrophes that lead to a lot of infections, medicines for which are super expensive, your pay is shit and guess what, the medicines are fake so as the condition worsens you need more of a fake medicine that does jack shit BUT, this all means that columbia can call itself the most welcoming land for the infected.... cause their all debt slaves congratulations!!!

One of these days, Arknights lore will be a college course in China along with Genshin lore and theorycrafting
