I am 69 years old and all of my friends are in their 70's. I have dinner parties and by 9 p.m. everyone leaves. I am in a Bunco club and by 9 p.m. we wrap up. Wishing you an awesome weekend. I enjoy watching your shows.

People go home and continue talking on the phone or on email until 2AM.

My husband and I have 2 queen size beds and sleep perfectly well in our 2 master bedrooms. No snoring or whatsoever! Highly recommended!

Yep, we sleep in separate rooms now due to major sleep incompatibility issues. After 46 years of marriage and being together a LOT now that we’re retirees we are fine sleeping separately, and I especially am better off for it since he snores and I’m a very light sleeper. When we have guests here we do share the main bedroom, but we have two beds in it (full & twin) so we still have our own beds even then. I think we get along much better during the daytime because of our sleep arrangements, lol. 😴😜
We didn’t mind the longer Monday shows, and we don’t mind the shorter Monday/Thursday shows, but we did miss the bloopers, LOL! Jerry, can you selvage the “golf cart ride up north” video by just showing it with you guys narrating it with voiceover? Just a thought. If we southerners are going to be called SOFO, does that make you northerners NOFO? 🤣😂 Fun show as always! 🤗

Hubby and I went out to dinner last night with our neighbors and friends that are mutual friends of yours Benny & Cheryl. During dinner the subject came up about hair stylists and barbers in and around The Villages, and Benny confessed he goes to the same $8 hair cut place that Jerry does. 🤣 Want to thank you both for being the inspiration behind Benny & Cheryl moving to The Villages because they not only are our neighbors, they have become dear friends. ❤️ And without Cheryl's encouragement I would have likely never stepped foot on a golf course and now I play several times a week not well; but having great fun playing. 😁

Save with Cindy is an informative segment that is and will be enjoyable. Never heard of that website so thank you Cindy. Good to refer to if you run out of frequent flyer miles. Loved the pattern on your blouse.

Sleep number beds are wonderful. I dont have the split matress type, but each side has adjustable firmness.
For the singles, is there a Singles night anywhere in the Villages? If not maybe your viewer could start one. Maybe a current events coffee/chat in the AM, or singles bike ride hour & coffee at a coffee shop - stuff like that.
There are many singles groups here in TV.

Thanks so much for the “ask Amy” segment. As a retired lawyer I spend so much time harping at my friends and siblings to get wills and other important documents in order. My biggest speech is that if you remarry and die without a will, your spouse will get everything (in canada) and if they then die, it will all go to their kids and not yours.
Also purge those tchotchkes so your kids don’t have to.
End of rant.

We got our bed from the Sleep Number store, two twin XL's come tother to form a king. The sheets are twin XL's but the quilt is a king, when the bed is made you can't tell it's two beds. They do not pull apart (I was afraid they would). We also have two separate controls where we can each raise our head and feet, expensive -- yes, but I love it the best investment I ever made.
I like the 2nd part of mailbag Monday on Thursday instead of a cart ride!
Our king size bed that is divided in 2 so that each of us can do our own thing creates a pretty big hole in the middle after a of couple years. We experienced that on our Sleep Number bed. However, we do like each being able to do our own thing with our own side.

My wife and I have the adjustable bed frames (each separate, but combined equal a King sized bed) and we LOVE it! They are motorized and are operated with a wireless remote. You'll need to purchase 2 Twin XL mattresses (no box spring needed) and Twin XL sheets. Best purchase we ever made!

Great to not have to wait until Monday for another show. I agree with you on the gate pass issue. Since it is not a real gated community, I don't know why we need passes to enter. They should set the gates to open for entry the same way they open for exit.
Thanks for the video! So far, I like the new format! To me, closing the squares at 9pm is a good idea - that's my bedtime. I don't think that many people would be left after that hour. Amy's section on getting married later in life was great, and I hope that woman looking for a single man in the Villages finds one. Maybe Jerry and Linda should have a new tee that says "I'm Single" to help her and other single people in the Villages. I think I'm going to like the saving with Cindy section as well. Hope your family (with all of your current family guests) are having a good time!

I liked it when the music went from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. And then they made it later. I'm an early bird. I'm up at 5:00 in the morning so the 4:00 to 8:00 slot for evening music was perfect. People complain I know, but I don't suppose everybody wants it to be late.

Myrtle Beach and the Carolinas influenced you and it just stuck with you. 9 o’clock is a good curfew to start shutting/winding down. Great ask Amy. Think most ppl have more fun than maintenance. I love how your mentioned the freedom of perching. We have given most of our belongings to our kids or sold it on FB to get ready for our move to the Villages. We are retired military so we are used to moving and giving things away to make the move a bit easier, but this time( our time) it feels wonderful wonderful to not only bless someone else with something but to have less stuff and be able to enjoy life more.
Having worked in construction - I know the construction lingo😅 it's sort of an accent on its own. More great advice, thanks Amy! Stuff - if you haven't used it a season or two - donate it. My wife and I have been here for 4 years and have only met negative people who choose to be negative. When you wake, think of all the things have and quit allowing those around you to ruin your day - BTW the town belongs to all of us! Great addition Cindy - looking forward to more saving tips! We look forward to your shows every week. We just purchased a home “SOFO” in Citrus Grove and are looking forward to our first winter season there.
About the bed…we have had adjustable beds for several years and love them. Have had king adjustable as well as twin adjustable. The twin gives you the flexibility to each adjust the bed as you prefer whereas the king you have to agree. I find the king easier to change the sheets but overall we prefer the twin so we can each choose our comfort. Most mattresses today fit on an adjustable base and sometimes the adjustable base is included on a sale.

I like the 2-part mail bag shows. You always have great questions and delve into fun and informative answers. Cindy started off with a good tip for google flights. It's amazing how arbitrary the prices can be for airline tickets. Meathead was the Son in-law to Daughter, Gloria. Grew up on that show.

@@JERRYANDLINDA And forgot to say, I think TV has enhanced my town of Leesburg. Over the last 10 years I've seen it step up and improve because of TV. Downtown Leesburg is now a destination for many Villagers.
Nothing wrong with the longer shows. One can always watch in two parts if they want too. Always like the shows - keep on keeping on.
Love that you do two parts now because, I like the letter portion. We always give friends and family a GC tour from SS to Fenny and of course back north to home. Linda has a South Indiana accent which is a , Kentucky Hills accent. I thought singles meet at Fire House in SL, I don’t know just celebrated our 48th anniversary.

Had our sliding door cracked and shattered years ago from lawn maintenance, but it was repaired and paid for by our homeowners association!

City Fire and Red Sauce as well as McCalls are open past 9pm. We get up early to be active before the heat becomes unbearable.
Was at City Fire recently the band quit at 9:30.
About the bed. A king is 76"x 80". A hospital bed uses a Twin XL mattress. It is 39 X 80. The hospital beds are adjustable (usually electric) The height can be adjusted also which can give you lots of storage space underneath. They can be found used, cheap. Then just buy a twin XL mattress. The metal frames aren't pretty, maybe some slip covers could be made? Sheets are easier to change (and wash) And it all could still be covered with a king quilt.
I like the longer format. Feel like I’m just getting settled and it’s over but do whatever works best for you.
Thursday Mailbag is a much better idea for me. Like it.

Another bed suggestion for you to look at. I have used Comfort Select now for years. I won't buy anything but Comfort Select for myself. The options seem endless when you go to the store, but I like the fact that you can get a kind or queen mattress with separate air chambers so you each can adjust the pressure to your own preferences. You can also get an extra long length which would be good for Jerry. The adjustable bed can be control from each side. I have seen one that even will self-adjust if a person is snoring so it won't disturb the other person. The adjustability is wonder if you are sick or have to have a surgery like I did for my knee replacement. It lets you get up and down without help. I have friends who really like the Tempur Pedic but it just doesn't work for my arthritis. I suggest you check out both brands. Love the new format and the new savings segment. The Village folks ruined "their town?" If I'm not mistaken, before the Villages became what it is, this cluster of small towns was basically known as a rest stop for drug traffickers traveling down to Miami. Instead you have 140,000 active, self-sufficient residents... and the thousands of jobs, and businesses, they've attracted.

Linda's accent is more like a hills accent similar to Tennessee. Doesn't sound like the southern accents found in the Carolinas, Alabama and Mississippi. And Texas is totally different too. How's about Thrilled for Thursday!? Because I will be!! By the way, your golf cart tours with the pleasant music and calm voice over, I'm using them when I have to take my blood pressure. You're so calming. 😊

Jerry me and my wife have 2 beds in to different rooms both have split beds go up and down separately because sometimes I’ll be sleep and she be up watching TV. It’s a a must very expensive. at sleep number that’s where you go in Claremont.
We tried a sleep number mattress, and it didn't seem to age any better than other mattress even though it was much more expensive. We like to replace our mattress every 5 years or so. We found a very affordable option. We bought a king size bed with headboard, side rails and foot board that would accommodate 2 twin size adjustable bed bases side by side. We each can select the mattress we are most comfortable with. I like a very soft mattress and my husband like a medium-firm mattress. The separate adjustable bases allow us to adjust independently of each other. Twin size adjustable bases are very affordable and they fit side-by-side perfectly in our king size bed. It works out perfectly and is much lower in cost than other options.

Bought a king size numbers bed ($3500) love it but wife did not want to do the individual up and down because of buying awkward sheets. At that price it did not included .it does not having cooling either. Imagine with all those options what that bed would cost now

closing up early seems to be a Florida tradition. years ago I was raised in Stuart Fl, 8-9 pm, they rolled up the sidewalk,, when I was there Last October, 8-9 pm,, they closed many places,,,
Get a split king that way you control your own side ,there are expensive, but you can go for holiday sales

I live 2 miles from where Andy was raised. He lived just off Rockford Street. You probably have heard him mention the street on his TV show. There actually is a snappy lunch cafe on main street, and they do sell the pork chop sandwich which is so famous!

Hi Linda! You mentioned today about getting a split adjustable mattress set up. We just recently researched that idea thoroughly (for months). We made the decision to buy a king non-split mattress with adjustable base. We are new to this setup but since buying it have discovered that when we are sleeping just don’t like to sleep with our head or legs too elevated. If you sleep with head too elevated you find yourself sliding too far down in the bed! So we have been able to settle on a little head and leg tilt. You might be surprised for sleeping that you just don’t want too much elevation. Also save lots of $$$ with one mattress with adjustable base. Good luck on your search!

I highly recommend the Sleep Number bed. A split king!! I have a very bad back from an injury. I was unable to sleep in bed until we got the Sleep Number bed. I can adjust to any position I need without disturbing my hubby. Also you can adjust the firmness for each side. I like mine softer than my hubby. We love it & it was totally worth the money!!

We have a split king adjustable bed. We love it! Hubby likes the head of bed up and I don't. Only prob is when we change the sheets... it can be a chore even after raising the ends. We flip the mattresses around every 4 wks and the mattresses are still like new. We got this set up in 2020.
