Graduated from dental school in 1998 from a private school with $120k of debt. I thought that was unreal. Now dentals schools like USC, Tufts, Boston U, and other private schools asking over $500k its absolutely crazy. Another tip: Apply to your in state school avoid private schools at all means. Good luck to you.
For the longest wanted to go for DH, lately something has been telling me to suck up the years & work on going to Dental school! So glad i found your channel, congratulations & good luck on your journey future Doc🥳
Good stuff! I’m coaching a high school student who is interested in dental school. Do you have any recommendations for high school students who are interested in dental school? It’s been awhile since I went through this process. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors.👍🏼
Yes, majority either require a certain amount of hours or just recommends that you have some. I would do as many hours as possible because not only does it look good on apps, but shadowing will allow you to know whether or not this is the field you want to go into. Check what the requirements are of each school that you're going to apply to.
You're so pretty! Im 26, but just now considering dentistry. I have my bachelor's in Biochem. I was curious what your story was? How old are you and what did you graduate with for undergrad? You look so young Im worried I wont be able to start, if I can even get in till Im like 28-29 :}. Any advice? #BlackGirlMagic
Hi, thank you so much for watching! I'm 22 and was very fortunate to go straight to dental school after undergrad. I graduated with a bachelors in Health Science. I wouldn't worry AT ALL about your age. I'm not exactly sure what the average age upon entering is, but I know its older than 22. There are many students in my class who are in their late 20s and a few of them are mid to late 30s. If you are interested in this field, go for it!!
