Lag would trap you in dungeon instances. Illest online service stoppage event, though. To this day, no online game has done storytelling better. They had employees log in as important chars to do live events. Morpheus was assassinated while giving a live speech.

I remember this intro and being shocked that I was expected to beat it. Then I realized I didn’t have to but I kept retrying until I finally beat it it felt like a full game experience. And then there’s literally like 30 more hours of story. Amazing gem.
I loved this game, as broken as it was you rarely see a movie converted to a game so well. In fact this was all 3 movies in one game. How awsome is that.

High school was too fun to sit at home and play. I didn't get it till 2010 when I was 17. Seeing all the changes in games and stuff. I still own all my consoles including the ps4 that I got about 2 years ago. Idk honestly since I grew up on older gen I simply enjoy and have more fun with older titles because they weren't complex. I can sit down and get really high and have the best fun with die hard trilogy and twisted metal 2. Shit graphics but all we cared was about gameplay. If you put graphics first before graphics boy you going to have a tough time with enjoying games.

Loved the intro of the game...it was like a test for how skilled you are and the game would suggest the level of difficult based on your performance...a good way to let you in on the game mechanics. Timeless classic👈

Saw this game at dollar general with my Dad for 8 bucks brand new back in 2008! 10 year old me was excited and wow this game was a steal! Recently replaying it on a jailbroken PS3 and it's still really fun! This game is a great example of how graphics doesn't always make a game!

Who remembers when u had to fight all those agents and u could fight them for as long as u wanted I used to go at it with them for at least 30 minutes to a hour
The action and fight combos were very impressive in this game. I can't think of any ps2 games that were more enjoyable when it came to hand to hand combat.
Also the good old days where games eventually stopped working no matter how much you take care of the disc :/ but at least you got the full game majority of the time!

BEst games I played in PS2 God of war 2 Prince of Persia Warrior within Splinter Cell Double Agent Final Fantasy 10 Tomb Raider Anniversary Matrix Path of Neo....SO accurate to the movie...It made you feel like NEO.... and San Andreas Scarface(had One of the best bullet tracers in a video game till date)
This game had some amazing fighting mechanics. Remember that Subway stage where you fight SWAT members and the stuff you could do was just crazy. You won't see a game like this now.
PS2 is still the best console. Tons of great games, free online game play, no dumbass patches every week, no need to be connected to the internet to enjoy a single player game, when you bought a game you got the whole complete game.
I can't even count how many times I've played this game. The mechanics was something that blew my mind as a kid. What's even funnier is just watching this video I'm learning things that I didn't even know existed..
