Matchmaking being fixed would solved by not allowing a rank of a different rank play a different rank. Meaning you only play with who is in the rank. Then add 1 more or two ranks. This ciphers off the tiers of players. Then you go and stopp punishing solo que players by giving them low mmr teammates and painting them against top que. It's a mess.

This registers against two factors and throws them off. If you take the ability for ultra to play with the rank below and the rank above. This eliminates the balance off taking the best solo mmr player and throwing them with low mmr duo ques who force the game to mixtrally good solo players with bad duos who only care about just getting t o masters. If the people didn't generically listen to random things that are negative and address them they won't change. So no the first comment I don't agree with. Cause it's vague. It mirrors the sentiment but doesn't say why.

And they duo with the lowest and worst ultra player. The rest of the team is gonna be low mmr. And consist more likely of returning players off rip. This is because ultra players can play below and above. But masters can only play with ultra. Your mmr vs your teams is determined by your position left to right on the character picking team. So when you get to ban picks. The people who choose bans are the worst players on your team calculated through an algorithm. That choose the bans. The top players are first pick. The best player on both teams calculated by mmr in the current match picks first no matter what.
I completely lost all respect for the game when they give the pirate cinderace skin away for free to all players, but did not even give anything to the people who already paid for it, I spent my money and a lot of time to get that skin, and it’s no longer special because it was given to everyone for free, and I got literally nothing out of it… They could’ve just given out a recolor like when they made a $40 recolor for a $40 skin, They could’ve gave us premium currency For crying out loud they didn’t even give people the basic currency They just gave nothing

I think once League of legends WILD RIFT reaches Consoles this will start to really take a hit.

I like gacha games that don’t force you to spend real money (like for example, Cookie Run Kingdom is a gacha game, but generally you don’t need to spend real money to get the big prize. The only time they did was the frost queen cookie which I did almost all the missions for since I got really unlucky and couldn’t pull her to try to get the pity, only to do the calculations for the last missions I had, to realize it was impossible to get the pity without paying real money. However, players called them out on it, and they never did it again and made sure that anyone could get the pity without spending real money for future cookies.

Good thing I left unite a month ago when all these raises in price started. I spent probably more than 1200$ on this game. Even for me it got ridiculous, If I wanted I would have gotten the skin, but what for? Feeding a game that does not bring any content is just absurd. That's why I switched to HoK lol
I tend to have a decent amount of resistance to spending money on cosmetics in live service games. Putting in a couple tens of dollars every few weeks if i'm interested in something. But as SOON as I heard about the unite subscription and Battle Pass price hike, I knew it was gonna get messy.
I am here to spread awareness to the fact that you can actually use any and all Holowear in the game for free! it's thanks to the Practice mode in Unite, Practice allows you to use every Unite License and Holowear in the game, whether you've already unlocked them or not! so why bother try gambling for the Sylveon skin when you could just use it for free in Practice? it never expires, so you don't need to worry about that :3
This is it my brother. It's a nice mindset to have. As long as you have fun with the game, it is enough. It's not like the skin gives you any competitive edge.

I understand wanting a skin so bad. I used to play LOL, and I had tons of them, but going so far to spend $100+ bucks on a single one is insanity for me. If this is the way most of us think about it, why are you guys trying to get it? Also, there are other skins way cheaper than this. If we want to persuade the Devs to not move forward from this point onward, the best way to do it is to stop spending money towards the gatcha system, but we all know people who will give a damn about the community and do whatever they want with their resources. For those who do, don't come back complaining about not getting what you guys want. If you support gatcha systems, you also take the risk of gambling and not getting anything in return. That just shows an unjustified sense of entitlement. I don't see a big reason to make a huge deal about this either way. It's just a skin. It won't affect any core mechanics on an impactful way. The skin won't increase damage, reduce damage taken, or even decrease time to score. It's just visuals. I really hope the devs don't intend to do this kind of stuff for items that could give an edge to people gameplaywise. If this happens, that would truly be a reason of concern.

We all know the expensive furries who spend thousands of dollars on what they want to buy. And Pokemon is very much aware of it's fury fanbase. People just need to learn restrain and learn how the real world works. I feel like this is a good opportunity for them to learn that. If parent lets their kids do that, that's the parents problem. And if an adult is doing it, chances are they already had a gambling addiction to start with. Pokemon is not to blame or "making" them do that. Maybe it's just me but i've played games where you could spend $500 and only get 1 piece which is a glove for example. Thise are BAD compared to this. The sylveon outfit + the free avatar set for spending the gems which is about $150ish total is not even that bad. And it's fairly easy to obtain the boxes. Plus it gives people who are whales something to enjoy having and it keeps games alive as f2p. I rather take this than take something like Elsword's ice breaker aets. Gorgeous but fk the pulls have 0 pity system or gaurintees on anything. In fact, i began playing the game BECAUSE of this outfit.
one of the problem I have with this skin and this new gacha system, is the game where it sets in : Pokemon Unite. This game is obviously targetted towards kids first, so it feels pretty predatory to put a very attractive skin in what looks like a complex cashgrab : young people will fall for the small chance of getting it, and will maybe ask their parent to put 10, maybe up to 40 dollars, and not even get what they wanted : this will tarnish public view on the Pokemon franchise. Comparing it to other games doesn't make it less worse, Pokemon Unite never had this system until after like 3 years, none of active players downloaded and invested into this game knowing it would become a gacha, Pokemon Unite is cutting their services to Belgium and Netherlands because laws there don't allow this system of lootboxes : imagine playing for 2 years and now hearing you're cut out of the game because of some scummy new way of making money they're pushing. anyway, this situation is just plain sad, and it just keeps making the game go downhill. But I respect your opinion nonetheless, and have fun with the skin

it's thanks to the Practice mode in Unite, Practice allows you to use every Unite License and Holowear in the game, whether you've already unlocked them or not!
so why bother try gambling for the Sylveon skin when you could just use it for free in Practice? it never expires, so you don't need to worry about that :3

I understand wanting a skin so bad. I used to play LOL, and I had tons of them, but going so far to spend $100+ bucks on a single one is insanity for me. If this is the way most of us think about it, why are you guys trying to get it? Also, there are other skins way cheaper than this. If we want to persuade the Devs to not move forward from this point onward, the best way to do it is to stop spending money towards the gatcha system, but we all know people who will give a damn about the community and do whatever they want with their resources. For those who do, don't come back complaining about not getting what you guys want. If you support gatcha systems, you also take the risk of gambling and not getting anything in return. That just shows an unjustified sense of entitlement.
I don't see a big reason to make a huge deal about this either way. It's just a skin. It won't affect any core mechanics on an impactful way. The skin won't increase damage, reduce damage taken, or even decrease time to score. It's just visuals. I really hope the devs don't intend to do this kind of stuff for items that could give an edge to people gameplaywise. If this happens, that would truly be a reason of concern.

It's a custom-made Color Grading I tweaked for that specific footage. If you use Premiere, I'll slide you the Grading, but mostly the recording stockings sent made it look so blown out.
I've already seen alot of people gambling and throwing money at this game for said skin (they can spend their own money however they like, it's theirs after all) so why would Timi change their ways, they get most profits and get other people to defend such shitty practices

Wales are all for this. An easy example is furries. We all know the expensive furries who spend thousands of dollars on what they want to buy. And Pokemon is very much aware of it's fury fanbase.
People just need to learn restrain and learn how the real world works. I feel like this is a good opportunity for them to learn that. If parent lets their kids do that, that's the parents problem. And if an adult is doing it, chances are they already had a gambling addiction to start with. Pokemon is not to blame or "making" them do that.
Besides, Pokemon has ALWAYS promoted gambling since generation 1. People seem to forget that.

People are making this and complaining like this is that big of a deal, specially since it's just a skin with some new effects. Bottom line is just like you said. If you are not comfortable with the price, stay away from this. lots of complains are coming from an angle of entitlement.
As long as these gatcha systems don't mess up with core mechanics of the game, I'm completely fine without these skins.
Maybe it's just me but i've played games where you could spend $500 and only get 1 piece which is a glove for example. Thise are BAD compared to this.
The sylveon outfit + the free avatar set for spending the gems which is about $150ish total is not even that bad. And it's fairly easy to obtain the boxes. Plus it gives people who are whales something to enjoy having and it keeps games alive as f2p.
I rather take this than take something like Elsword's ice breaker aets. Gorgeous but fk the pulls have 0 pity system or gaurintees on anything. In fact, i began playing the game BECAUSE of this outfit.
one of the problem I have with this skin and this new gacha system, is the game where it sets in : Pokemon Unite. This game is obviously targetted towards kids first, so it feels pretty predatory to put a very attractive skin in what looks like a complex cashgrab : young people will fall for the small chance of getting it, and will maybe ask their parent to put 10, maybe up to 40 dollars, and not even get what they wanted : this will tarnish public view on the Pokemon franchise.
Comparing it to other games doesn't make it less worse, Pokemon Unite never had this system until after like 3 years, none of active players downloaded and invested into this game knowing it would become a gacha, Pokemon Unite is cutting their services to Belgium and Netherlands because laws there don't allow this system of lootboxes : imagine playing for 2 years and now hearing you're cut out of the game because of some scummy new way of making money they're pushing.
anyway, this situation is just plain sad, and it just keeps making the game go downhill. But I respect your opinion nonetheless, and have fun with the skin

[I've met WWAAYY too many f2p who act "holier than thou" because they never spend a cent in any games even though whales keep those games f2p in the first place]
The thing that would of helpped this situation would be to have made it clear how the boxes worked instead of explaining everything yet saying nothing. Or make it like the ice pop where spending $150 gets you the outfit and trainer one gaurinteed.
