    I love the l970's pram! It looks very much like the one I had for my babies in the '70's....they are better than the type these days, I think...they can move around. I love the way Clemente and Daddy explore the bug/slug world....typical boys! Your children are gorgeous! I love the sounds Juliette makes when she sees Clemente.

    Welcome back. Clement and Juliet are getting big and so adorable. The tiles look orange/terra cotta on this vlog. On the color wheel the opposite of orange is blue. From a design perspective that would create the most drama. Grey, green or a taupe would also look good against the wood beams as well as the tiles. If you choose a color similar to the floor tiles, that would create a monochromatic scheme which would be more calming. It depends on what type of vibe you want to create. So excited that you are close to completing the carriage house 🏠 Bonne chance and thanks for sharing 😍😘

    Ochre Rouge is my first pick. I liked it from the beginning. I think it looks good with the floor and the wood of the structure. Also with the differences in light it’s not too dark or too light.

  • @carolynknight1520

    O, colour choices, such a puzzle. Floor colour and sheen, plus ceiling sheen, and refracted plus reflected light, plus time of day and how much direct/ indirect light, plus what wall direction , ie. east west north south , plus how much electric lighting is in the equation! I have renovated heritage-age buildings and consider each of these aspects in the exercise of picking colour. It is good to go look at your palette of colour at different times of the day, and night too; lights on and lights off. And if you have textiles and furnishings that are intended, it helps bringing these into the room to compare during day/ night. So fun!

  • @mamaahu

    Be sure to put the two color choices next to each other. They will really influence each other in proximity. And if possible use larger samples. Greens turn gray as the light dims. Look at the colors together in artificial light. The light you will have when you use the room most.
    Keep having fun creating! Most natural pigments look beautiful together.
    I think if it were me, I am pretty conservative, I d go with a darker color from a color I like in the floor tile, and then it’s paler version above.
    What ever you choose it will be magnifique!

    Great video!! You are such a sweet, loving family. I tend to like the colors more similar to the pointing around the stone. So a pale beige and then the paneling could be a grayish green. Keep it bright and airy and make the stone the focal point. But it’s your lovely coach home so it’s what you love. xx

  • @addiekl
    @addiekl 2 роки тому +1

    I prefer the warm earthiness of the pink tones, either #3 or #6. The lighting that will be in the room will have a tremendous influence, both the amount and direction of natural light as well as the kind of light bulbs in any chandelier or sconces so if you haven't brought those elements in you might want to add them before you finalize your colors.

    You look great Amy - having two kids is really agreeing with you. It's your choice in the end as it should be. I'd be struggling if it was me choosing because I like many of your samples. Yet I come back to tying in the floor tiles, wood beams and warmth of the lime mortar. Having been in very old country houses in Europe where the white lime walls inside and out are standard whitey/parchment colour, I have a hard time with any strong colour. Seems it would compete with the floor and wood and possibly other items you bring into the room. I notice the white lime helps other features stand out.

    • @Chroniclesofrosieres
      @Chroniclesofrosieres  2 роки тому +1

      I do agree about the white being lovely in traditional plastered buildings. I think the problem with this Facim is that it's too white, because it's not mixed with anything that it normally would be, like sand. We won't go for anything too fussy I agree, but it needs a bit of a tint!

    I was so worried and afraid Clement was going to fall with the camera on Juliet! I am a hands on grandma so I worry about these things! Juliet is absolutely beautiful!! What a pair of lovely children you have. You are blessed! The coach house is looking very nice. Well done! Wonderful job. The colours are exquisite. I like the creams and light grey with the green if that is what is going on the wood? What about a wallpaper feature wall somewhere?

    Ochre rouge tinted out has a relaxing tone. Keep the bedroom cosy . Tabac looks a bit pedestrian. Just my opinion. Too much grey, beige & greige at mo, so will easily date. More power to your elbow - you'll need it !!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘😘
