Yo you forgot electro traveler, also I don't know if you took it into account (you probably did but didnt mention it) but you should take constellations into account when it comes to the different bursts of the Traveler since they're all for free and a lot of people dont really consider the traveler being a ''5 star'', in any case love the video dude

I feel you forgot to mention that Raiden's burst recovers energy for her entire team whenever you deal hits and that gives it wayyyy more utility than just a burst of damage
Yeah. I usually put her in my geo teams since I don't have a good amount of ER in them. And it also means constant shields with the electro crystalize.
She was the first one that came to mind for me for S even more than Bennett.
And at higher constellations, it will also reduce the CD of other characters’ burst
That's true. The fact that she allows you to invest more ATK into energy-hungry units (usually the National Team) is up for serious consideration.

Ventis burst is situational but the situations it is designed for it becomes the best ability in the game
Also debatable because even when you consider utility, it can still be outperformed in sheer damage and support. In a lot of cases it's a comfort option. Unless you have C6 which just negs any real disadvantages to using him over other units.

@@F1ll1nTh3Blanks you missed the point of the comment. Ventis burst isn’t designed for damage. It’s designed to group up mobs of enemies so every single character in the game that can reach ventis ult now does aoe damage and quadratic scalers like ganyu and albedo now operate at max potential

Kaeya's burst CD doesn't change so if you can kill enough enemies it can actually perfectly loop (granted you have the ER for it). The burst name itself also implies it's neverending and repeatable in CN as far as I know. He doesn't even need to be on field for him to get the duration buff as long as enemies die while his burst is active so it's really useful in situations where there's lots of small enemies because he can basically have his burst up infinitely. :)

Yanfei's burst also
- grants a Scarlet Seal regularly
- increases charged attack damage
- grants shield at C4
Yeah it just augments her kit (except the shield), but don't do her dirty like that :(
Even the shield is good cuz it protects her from being interrupted during her charged attacks. She really is a one woman army

I think he did quite a bit of bursts dirty. But i guess it was more of an opinion piece, He used alot of opinions to justify his stances. Ofc there is some actual stuff. But it was quite a bit unfair.
Yanfei at C6 is amazing. And much more powerful then klee’s burst in increasing DPS capability. It allows her to be a powerhouse in one character (Her shield’s strength can be almost as strong as zhongli, her charged atk aoe is great with 4 seals)
But it seems that i was mainly again, what suits his own likes and dislikes.

Not sure if this helps or anything, but her shield is transferable to other characters and is surprisingly solid for a character who isn't conventionally known for shielding. Tankei is a thing. 😂
I tottaly agree. Yanfei has so well blanced and comprehensive kit at C6 and her Burst is a great example how it enables her playstyle. If we take what Vars said then it shoule be the same for Hu Tao as asside from her high nuke damage, her ult just benefits herself or her kit so I would say the same logic applies here. This all convinced me to try to build Yanfei when I got her last constelation not long ago.
Only one I genuinely didn't understand was Raiden Shogan. She does front loaded damage and regenerates your teams energy. It's good in multi or single target situations, got a buff with dendro technically. I just don't see why it wouldn't be absolute top tier.

her burst is not certainly frontloaded but yeah in max stack you can get up to 3000% scaling over 7seconds
the problems are
1- the dmg is dependent on other characters Elemental burst so her dmg is not consistently high everywhere and everytime
(with rational full combo u cannot fully stack your burst in one rotation)
2- her energy restoration is dependent on the investment you need like 300% Er to fully achieve what you want without hurting your dmg potential (you can get it easily with grass cutter though)
about the dendro part all the electro units are getting that buff. i dont like the idea about putting dendro for electro characters elemental burst. becuz the main character and the main carry of aggravate teams is fischl. the abilities that can proc fischl's A4 passive more are better and in that term raiden is doing that with both her E and her burst. my point is its irrelevant to dendro and aggravate to consider her burst strong while others may could do the fischl's passive proc better.

@@frsteemid honestly the problems you pointed out are exactly Raiden's strength to why her burst is really good. Genshin is about teams and you usually don't run a character solo. Her energy recharge is also converted to damage as far as I'm concerned, especially with her BiS weapon. Plus there is also an artifact set tailored for her burst (and also other units). But I agree with dendro's case with her. It kind of takes away her big damage but until then her burst is wgat makes her worth pulling. I really am not into tier list tho lol
@@frsteemid Nonsense. I have a level 90 Fischl max constellation, level 90 weapon and maxed 5 star artifacts. She is not better than Raiden on a dendro team. I also have Raiden level 90 at CO and she outperforms Fischl in every conceivable way. Venti is a better option than Fischl on a dendro electro team. I should know I use them both.

Ayato’s burst being two tiers below ganyu’s is kind of weird to me - The insane amount of hydro application and damage it gives is really good. With burgeon coming out and his ability to consistently cause bloom, as well as his previous team comps of taser and freeze makes his burst extremely solid for both damage and application. Ayato’s skill is important but it doesn’t really undermine the significance of his burst, and energy issues can be solved with another hydro user (although that may not be ideal at times). It should be b tier at least though, to me it doesn’t fit the category of “not good but not bad,” as it is really good. Overall nice video though, I love this sort of loose format from you, and you have a wonderful soothing voice which makes it all the more enjoyable. Don’t stress on time either, it’s actually more enjoyable to hear your elaborated thoughts instead of sort of a quick summary - thats the real main sell of your channel, the analytical aspect not the conciseness of it. I certainly felt like he was underselling it. Particularly qhen trting to compare it to yelan and xq. Thos two are unquestionable winners on the damage side but that damage is limited to one target. Ayato is a very wide area of consistent damage and hydro application that he can keep up relatively consistently with his ascensions.
agreed. i think i put it in high B tier . his burst is definitely better than zhongli and fischl but the worse version of ganyus burst.
if his burst cost was 70 with 18 cd and shorter animation it could be easily high A.
his burst is just too expensive in taking time and particles overall but ayato him self is a well balanced character. i like him and his play style a lot
@@frsteemid Ignoring his passive that increases his energy recharge while off field when he is under 40% ER.
I've never had a problem with his ER; his ER is ~160% & his weapon's substat is Crit Rate.
@@frsteemid Purely in terms of damage, ayatos burst is only half the strength of ganyus burst. His burst is in 9 waves of 4 swords vs ganyus 10 waves of 5. Of course there is the 20% normal attack damage bonus you get, but this was considered in a vaccuum in which his skill is not considered so In a vaccum I don't think his burst is that valuable. If your just looking for the hydro application, then just use kokomi. If I said something wrong, feel free to correct me.

well i should add another condition for that being in A tier (i said it before to my friends that his burst is the worse version of ganyus burst and more expensive or just ganyus burst is broken xD)
ganyus passive will give 20% cryo bonus so the ayatos NA bonus dmg doesn't matter that much
Yanfei's burst motivation is kinda inaccurate, you forgot that not only it enables automatic charge for your scarlet seals, after C4 it gives shield and enables Tankfei build, BUT IT ALSO GIVES more than 60% Charged ATK Bonus if crowned: paired with Dodoco Tales' 32% and Wanderer's Troupe's 35%. It gives her more than 100% Charged ATK DMG, paired with Bennett (C5 or C6) and one or two hydro units like Yelan or Xingqiu, it means vaping over 80k dmg in a single shot. So yeah, not FLASHY but not a BAD burst at all.
Yeah, he seems to have forgotten his own "rules". Many examples.
He always seems to ignore Tankfei's existence or just don't know about it, in her "why nobody plays" video, he didn't mention it either

I absolutely love Yanfei and use her all the time. She does a lot of DMG for me and she isn’t highly invested in just yet. LVL 80, Skyward Atlas LVL 80, artifact stats need some help but 2pc crimson, and 2pc noblesse.

If Yoimiya was able to proc her own burst it would make her unnable reliably to Vaporize her strongest NA hits since the Hydro aura would be overtaken by Pyro . It's real problem is that it is practically a single target projectile and can only mark 1 enemy at a time , if it was instead an AOE explosion , or could mark multiple enemies at the same time it would up it's use and damage quite a bit , even though it was already calculated thather burst equals 15% of her rotation damage in rotations where it's used
Exactly, people were disappointed in her burst because the lack of AoE since you know... it's fireworks. I was hoping she'd be built around overload's explosive effect due to her being from the electro nation, but oh well. 😔

No, that's wrong.
The burst can only vaporize 4 times out of the 6 in total due to ICD. One in the initial hit, and three procs.
The fact that she can't proc her own burst makes no difference because you generally either use her with Xingqiu, Thoma, or Xiangling depending on your team.
What's missing is making her burst ACTUALLY vaporize. It has low multipliers and can't be vaporized so it's just bad.
@@coolman5242 I mean she is probably the best pyro unit to make use of Overload as she is a ranged unit that doesn't suffer from the knock back.

Yae Miko's burst has insane damage but as you said, it is too dependant on her casting the skill 3 times. More often than not, I also found that the burst has strange targeting. It happens quite often that when I'm really close to a group of enemies, the burst's thunderbolts fall on an isolated enemy far away. It would have been better if the thunderbolts fell on her position, and not autotargeting enemies.
The problem with her burst is that it requires a very specific setup which doesn't fit well with the rest of the team. By themself, each one is a minor inconvenience, but they stack up nicely as a pile of annoyance.
First of all, the burst costs 90 energy. That's a lot, but can be compensated through ER and external energy effects like Favonius weapons. The part that can't be compensated is the higher cooldown at 22 seconds. Even if you achieve 100% burst uptime, this forces you into a 22 second rotation or longer. The other option would be to only use her burst every second rotation. Technically, there's even a third option which is investing so much into your Yae team characters that everything can be cleared in one rotation.
The big one is that it despawns her turrets. No, not the setup. The setup is super annoying precisely because most people I've seen, including myself, set the turrets up and immediately use the burst only to set down the turrets again. Yes, the charges are refreshed, but casting her skill 6 times and her burst once pushes her in this awkward split dps position. You're not getting tons of damage from her normal and charged attacks, so main dps doesn't make much sense, but those ~6 seconds it takes to do everything at once is generally too much time for a dps support in a quick swap team. Theoretically, from the second rotation onwards one could try to use the burst just before the turrets expire, needing to cast E three times less. Practically, there's only a 2~4 second margin of error before the turrets time out, so I don't think it's worth the risk.
That said, the setup of the turrets still acts as a minor inconvenience. Yae Miko has to move around to place the turrets. It's nice that she doesn't have to stand still, but it makes staying inside other areas (and keeping the enemies there) more difficult at the same time. Movement skills got buffed in 3.0 because there aren't as many surfaces they can get stuck on anymore. However, it can still happen and it'll always happen when stuck to a wall, edge or cliff. Turrets can't be placed on top of each other so if there's not enough space inbetween Yae wastes a skill charge and valuable time in the rotation. I particularly despise Dendro Samachurls and their walls. Even more than that, I despise the bubble aura they like to put on enemies in the Abyss. Currently, the Primordial Bathysmal Vishap in the first half of Spiral Abyss Floor 12 chamber 3 has it and I can't tell you how many times my Yae ended up stuck in those bubbles due to moving around with her skill.
@@Yorekani I think that's why I find myself seeing people play Yae got annoyed. You aren't supposed to use her burst immediately. Her turret is the highest source of her damage, using her burst immediately is going to result in a very weird team rotation since she definitely will take too much time. My team with her is Raiden Kazuha Yae and Bennet. My rotation usually with Yae setting down her turret, and then switch to Kazuha -> swirl -> kazuha slash then switch to Bennet -> Burst then goes back to Yae -> burst -> put down turret again then switch to raiden to charge everyone.
Often or not, before I can even get to raiden all of the enemies already dead save for abyss floor 12 bosses, and the rotation I did wasn't janky or weird or clunky at all.
My calculation is this, sure, her burst deals a lot of damage (mine can go up to 400k, she is at c2 with kagura), but her turret definitely is more important than her burst. Her burst is like a bonus for you to use to either deals extra damage, or charge Raiden resolve if you run her with Raiden (imo the best synergy she has), her turret gives so much passive damage during kazuha and bennet burst that it's kinda a waste personally to me to set up her turret and destroy them immediately like that, no wonder people don't like playing her.
This is just my experience with her, not saying she is perfect, but she isn't as bad or clunky or 'worthless' as people often said me when I said Yae isn't exactly a bad unit.
I find that there's also this internal cooldown that only happens with her, where right after I cast her burst I can't move but she can take damage. When I fight certain enemies she always gets bashed around right after her burst
It's worth the dps and can either mostly nuke enemies at beginning of waves, or finish off bigger mobs in later waves depending on whether you EEE - > rotate, do other things, set up -> Q+EEE instead of EEEQEEE... I think too many people think you MUST eeeqeee and then thats what gets into the whole "ahh, 6 seconds is ruining my dps" or w.e, which isnt really true. Her burst, especially if you hit everything grouped up and she is buffed and well built is generally worth doing, but you can also do it every other rotation if you dont have ER. My Yae's burst in Aggravate-Quicken teams does about 200-220k, so that being AOE + applying aggravate on every hit guaranteed, its really worth using. It can do more dmg at c0c0 than a eula ult and is not concentrated into a single hit, so there's no memery of 'didnt crit, gotta restart chamber', it just seems less flashy because its in 4 hits.

in all honesty i'd swap raiden and xiangling. I understand how broken xiangling's burst is considering as you mentioned snapshot every buff but it is still just damage and a lot of it, but raiden does the same plus added utility in the form of flat energy refund.
The fact that raiden does a lot of damage while also providing utility for the team is what makes her a good team player imo and that's why she's at least somewhat better
Exactly my thoughts, I of course know Xiangling does insane amount of damage but it's still ONLY damage, Raiden has utility too
The thing is: It's not only damage. It can also be an good Pyro enabling tool. But even if ww only look at damage: You can play Xiangling and Raiden, you can play Xiangling and add character X. That's why her burst is that good. She does a ton of damage without field time. She is very comparable to Raidens damage. Depending on team/content it's more or less the same. But Raiden has to be on field for over 7s while Xiangling does her stuff with minimal field time. Yes she can't recharge stuff but because you don't have anything else to do you could easily switch to an battery and recharge stuff. Or you play Raiden of top of it. That's the thing. You can add Bennett + Xiangling in so many teams because they don't take away field time of your main core. They do their thing for a few seconds and add ton of damage for everyone.
@@joe_simon But raiden literally trivializes energy requirements. And if she's played with loads of off field supports, like dendro traveler, xingqiu/yelan and kazoo she enables them well. Hell, even in a eula raiden comp where she just takes the downtime that eula has, she can help eula get her burst back. Thanks to dendro, electro's now a passable support and main dps element, while pyro got nothing out of dendro.

I disagree completely. Raiden is good, but her ~10s of required field time is her undoing. If you check the other S rank burst characters, none of them have to stay on field for anywhere near that long, even a dps like Ayaka. Xiangling offers more with less required field time. Best in class damage and best in class pyro application. She's the clear winner imo.
I think it would be really cool to see a "why everyone plays dendro traveler" where you explain how the changes in sumeru changed the traveler from the "why no ones play" because now he is the best applier of the element and in the future even if other characters apears that surpasses traveler they are is still a worth while support that can use the deepwood memories with his long duration burst for dps dendro characters and a good amount of buff with his passive and c6 constelattion.
I know Aether is the most marketable of the twins, but I would think it could have been more practical for miHoyo to use "they" when referring to the Traveler in any dialogue... same thing here...

I think for that video to happen it needs time. We have 3 dendro in the game right now and trav is the best but only out of 3. If the entire region is released and trav is still the best then it would make sense.
travelers use can be completely attributed to a) us needing dendro for exploration b) people wanting to try out the new element and reactions and c) them being 1 out of 2 dendro support characters. our dendro pool is wayyy to small to judge wether theyre a good support as a dendro unit. making a why everyone plays video for them would be too premature
Pairing him with Raiden is very good. His energy problems are solved by her and he buffs her damage output.
I think things like "elemental burst modifies your basic attacks" or "elemental burst resets your elemental skill" SHOULD BE COUNTED because many times it's very relevant for the character and other characters; the same way you count Mona's ult utility towards OTHER CHARACTERS.
Exactly. It's why I'm confused that venti is higher then kazuha. Yeah he has more succa but kazuha buffs are just unreal he only becomes more fun with constellations.
Once we get a character that can give electro infusion to your team electro razor is gonna be CRAZY. Ok maybe not like crazy good but def very viable
I still dont know why hoyoverse hasnt created units to infuse every element. It would let the players be more creative. At the time we only have Chongyun and Bennett, but it could be so much more...

The vocal reactions to C6 benny and Chongyuns skill probably affected Hoyos choices regarding elemental infusion, but with all elements out they should have an easier time balancing new infusion type units now
He already has a pretty good team that uses full em razor, c6 bennett on 4pc instructor, dendro mc, and xingqiu/yelan. It's called thundering furry.
I feel like calling Gorous burst a NG+ for his skill but in the same vein putting Fisch 2 tiers above him when her burst has barely more use (speed, one time electro damage for nearby enemies and 20% heal at the end of the burst) is a bit disingenuous. Gorous even gives Crit damage on Geo characters with his C6 and while that is not as universal as Fisch's burst I feel liek in the nieche it fills it is definitely stronger.
Totally agree, I was honestly so shocked when he put her so high considering -just like he said- it’s just a reposition for her skill. To me that’s like putting Yelan in B tier because she doesn’t heal like Xingqiu
It's cause her skill is bonkers and it gives more uptime to the skill
I think the big difference is up time. Without Fischl Burst Oz up time is pretty meh. But for Gorou it doesn't change much. Like you mostly use Skill into Burst. That's it. In Fischls case you use it once in a while tl refresh Oz for high uptime because otherwise you lose him. Which is a big deal breaker. But i can see her burst lower. But i think it's valid to say Fischls Burst is better because of the refresh while Gorou refresh doesn't do much.
I also think some things in this tier list contradict but those are minor mistakes and aren't super bad.

There's also the fact that his Burst causing the circle to follow you around is removing one of the biggest criticisms that those types of Bursts tend to have. Some people complain about Bennet that "Oh, you have to remain in his circle for it to be good, it's such a hassle", and Gorou's Burst completely avoids that. (Even if it's not much of a problem in the first place)
27:27 Just a note that Anemo traveler does have the unique property of prioritizing cryo when converting while no other Anemo unit does. It can come in handy in situations like that double hydro hearld abyss floor, as it shreds a massive chunk off of their annoying hydro shields when they are cornered (which you should do anyway). But yeah, it's still bad in all other general uses outside that one specific situation so far
I feel like Raiden was badly placed. She regenerates so much energy for the team during the ult. You completely forgot the utility side of the ult, and how it makes playing teams like national, with its energy hungry bursts, much easier.
ayatos burst is literally just ganyu's but with longer duration and also a more flexible element, there's no way it's C tier while hers is A lmao
also buffs , NA dmg while not much its really good, the biggest downside is his cast animation but ouside of that is a good burst maybe at worst b tier

It's likely due to the energy cost and damage. The damage isn't as high as Ganyu's and 80 energy is only somewhat mitigated by his A4 talent.
Compared to Ganyu who can run like no ER and still be getting enough energy to burst every rotation as both E hits generate particles.
Ayatos burst definitely needed to be higher. Its literally Ganyus burst with slightly less dmg, but is more consistent due to his energy passive. Also it has quadratic scaling which is very powerful against multiple enemies. Sure his burst may not have as much dmg as Yelan and Xingqui, but their dmg is also single target, whereas his is in an Aoe. Personally I believe it should be in A tier, or atleast B. There is no way you can compare it to the likes of Aloy or Xinyans burst (no hate to those characters btw, just their bursts aren’t as useful imo)
I don't understand why raiden isn't S tier the burst does great damage even at c0 while also recharging energy for the rest of the team to ensure very smooth rotations. The initial hit of her burst also does a great amount of front loaded damage.
One thing about Jean's burst that is usually neglected is its ability to cleanse debuff. I find it very useful against the Hydro CD debuff in some domains. Maybe in the future when there are more kinds of debuff introduced to the game, Jean might become necessary in some domains or the abyss. But not gonna lie, her burst heals crazy and deals chunky damage. I've been a Jean main since day 1, and my Jean does 60k with burst and can fully heal everyone with more than 20k+ hp.
If you have constellations and high talent investment, her burst becomes amazing. Jean is just so damn flexible.
also, sunfire works because you swirl yourself. raiden xingqiu bennett jean actually deals a lot of damage.

Wait if we're treating all 4 Stars as C6 why are we not mentioning Yanfei getting a shield on her Burst at C4? It's not like Zhongli strong but it's a good amount of support she brings to her teams.

For the longest time , I’ve only ever had Sucrose and Anemo traveler as my anemo units, so when the Lector Spiral Abyss came with Ayaka’s rerun , I didn’t really have choices. But anemo traveler did helped a lot, especially when it gets infused with Cryo, so it freezes the hydro heralds. And, I know we’re just talking about bursts here, but the skill also helped break the Lector shield.
Would I still use Anemo Traveller today now that I have Kazuha? Probably not. But it’s not too bad to invest in building them if you have only another one anemo unit :)
Also as for Razor, now that dendro is out, he has a team with C6 Bennett, Xingqiu, and Dendro Traveler. He gets so much reactions: Overload, Vaporize, Hyperbloom...all thanks to his burst being a separate electro damage :D
I think Mona's burst should be A tier. Her universal damage amplification goes up to 60% (based on talent level) for its entire duration, which is more than Yelan can reach with her passive talent, and it doesn't have any ramp-up time. It also hits enemies in a large radius around her, which makes it easy to line up. It has a short cooldown, which makes it great for burst spam teams or Prototype Amber usage. It does massive damage by itself. It has great interaction with Freeze, which extends the duration of the damage boost, and it even has some CC built in.
But what about Yelan’s damage 😂
Yelan provides lots of dmg herself from her burst though unlike Mona
@@Lesterberne hence why they said A tier instead of S tier. Mona also does decent one instance dmg when her burst bubble pops that when built properly has the potential to nuke. Besides, dmg isn't the only parameter to determine burst ranking as seen by Bennett's burst being S tier (and rightfully so).

Ayato burst is really underrated :3. Constant snapshotable hydro application for 18s with quadratic scaling and a bonus of normal attack damage bonus is quite good. Personally I would rate it at least B tier.

Since everyone here is talking about how good some of the best Bursts are, I'm curious what you guys think is going to be rated the lowest.
Personally, I think Fischl is among the worst, since pretty much every aspect of it besides giving Oz 100% uptime feels like a downside. Xinyan and Albedo also have the issue of their Bursts being where their split scaling rears its ugly head, and while Albedo has some things to make up for it, Xinyan really doesn't. There's also Barbara, but I'm not quite sure on hers.
Yoimiya and amber also come to mind
Not really a bad burst but a kinda useless part of it is Kokomi's *very short* ability to walk on water.

@@harmless9336 Amber's burst is the ONLY part of her kit that is the best reason to use her. Arrows have no ICD, and thus, can quickly break through Cryo shields the easiest among all the characters.
Meanwhile, Yoimiya's Burst also has the added benefit of buffing Atk of your teammates, which is useful for Xinqui, Fischl, and Beidou, and thus, cannot be dismissed.
I wonder where Thoma would be now cuz his burst is suddenly perfect for Burgeon reactions

Sorry but I cannot agree with putting a skill refresh (Fischl) at the same level of a 300K nuke with no ICD (Yae).
You literally stated you’re considering bursts and not the kits. The only issue is that the four hits are slightly delayed, so you may miss hits if enemy teleports. But on the bright side, that allows you to reposition of totems while burst is still hitting. Plus, Yae animation is very short for a 5*.
Imagine not wanting to angry the xiangling mains by including the fact that she can benefit by any *external* buff in existence and thus ignoring the vacuum clause stated at the beggining of the video.
Content creators gotta force that narrative that xiangling is the best thing to happen to genshin impact 👍

@@CoolMintMC I actually liked Bennett at the start before he became meta because I’m gay and I thought he was super cute and adorable. And I didn’t like the free xiangliang so I was super happy to finally get a pyro character that I liked.
Thankfully I still enjoy him as a character despite people shoving him into every meta team comp because I don’t use him with the overused national team or anything like that.
Most of the time he’s with my venti or noelle teams so I still use him in a unique way.
I also have his c6 unlocked because f the meta lol. 😂😂😂

I wouldn't call geo traveler's burst unusable outside of geo teams, you get a crit rate buff while inside the circle (and unlike rosaria you don't need to build crit on traveler for it)

I’d love to see you re-do this video a few months later now that dendro is out, as a lot of characters bursts are now better due to dendro reactions. Keqing, Ayato, Thoma etc. just to name a few. Also I do think Ayato’s burst is on par or just below Ganyu’s, they both function similarly but consistent hydro application is a bit better than ganyu’s ice application, there’s more comps that can use Ayato’s than ganyus
I honestly don’t understand how the fact Yoimiya can’t activate her own burst is such a big deal. Generally speaking, you ALWAYS have either Xingqiu or Yelan on the team with her which can easily activate her burst. And if you use Childe or Kokomi it’s an easy extra around 30k vape hit every 2 seconds.
Edit: generally agree with the tier list but some of the rankings makes no sense and/or are hypocritical like putting Xiao and Fischl higher than Gorou and Itto

She had standard ICD (thus loses 2 vapes of the 6 instances of damage), and this is just if you play it perfectly.
Generally, because you want to use it at the end of your rotation, you won't get it to either vaporize (because you ran out of hydro) and/or all procs because of it.
The issue that she can't proc her own burst is overblown though.

I feel you should include skill interaction with ult. Who doesn't use raiden's e before her burst or have turrets up before using yae's burst? That's just not how you use the character

You forgot that Raiden's burst recovers the energy of the rest of the team based on her own energy recharge and damage.
It's not only an AoE burst of damage and an install with damage steroids (which's already good), it is also the best utility ult in the game, since it can enable every other burst in the game to be virtually infinite, while also increasing the damage of all the ults.
Imo it shouldn't lose a tier to Venti's absurdly powercrept ult.

Please don't worry about making longer videos, they're really fun to watch! I don't know if time was a factor or if you just forgot, but there are some 4star characters you graded poorly without taking their constellations into consideration imo. Yanfei in particular, who gets a shield at C4 that allows you to build her as a pure support character with the right catalyst weapon. Xinyan's burst has 100% crit rate with C2 and C6 fixes some of her scaling issues, Thoma's C6 is a damage buff for your team, and you forgot electro traveler all together?
Heizou is one of my favorite characters to play and defo my fav 4star main DPS. As you said you didn't know much about him I wanted to add a bit:
I don't disagree for his burst being C tier at all. If it were any higher it would be B tier, but has no place higher than that. His burst does a lot less damage than his skill but offers a tiny bit of crowd control. It's not great by any means but still useful as a part of his kit.
As it does swirl, has a pretty low cost, low cooldown, and groups up enemies a little, it's great to setup for the usage of his skill. It does synergies well with the rest of his kit and keeps the flow of the character going... But as the video focuses on the burst on it's own, it's just an Anemo dmg dump with a hint of barely noticeable crowd control.
A bit of a redeeming feature though is that it targets enemies at a good distance and over a good height. So in teams without bow characters, it can hit enemies on platforms that some catalysts wouldn't, and probably make them fall off too, but that's only nice in the overworld.
In no particular order, my guess for top tier bursts are Raiden Shogun, Bennett, Xingqiu, Beidou, Xiangling, Venti, Itto, Eula, Yelan, Zhongli, Kujou Sara, Ayaka
My list is like this, except Sara, we have Mona or maybe Sucrose and Zhongli for Kazuha.

The only one I disagree with is Raiden, her Burst is S tier and you can’t change my mind, some of the best damage in the game, on top of recharging your whole team.
@@akashbagchi8341 yes, and hyper carry raiden has insane clear times. She has super high damage….she still has some of the most damage in the game, even without melt and vape. Even at c0 she still hits hard if built correctly.

I think you have to look at yoimiya’s passives when evaluating her burst. It gives a dmg boost to the rest of the team with stacks depending on her pyro infused normal attacks, encouraging you to use her burst after her skill duration is done. Her burst isn’t there for her own dmg, it’s to make up for the damage loss during the rest of her team’s rotation when she’s off the field.
I would put fischl much further down personally. Using the vacuum clause you struggled to follow slightly, all it is is a single hit of electro dmg each per opponent and repositioning. You're not even given s when flying. It's great along with Oz because it resets his uptime and Oz is stupid strong, but in an absolute vacuum it's amazingly bad
I feel like Raidens burst should be in S tier as well because it has the perfect balance of dmg and utility not only does the burst have massive scaling but it can also give energy to the rest of your party

I think it's because her shield activating from her burst is kind of counterproductive coz if you build her as a full DPS the shield is very frail(since her HP overall is very low) and if you build her as a support (shielder) then it's just a shield that too on an elemental burst unlike all the other shielder which are on their skills

9:53 Barbara is sLEPT on, not only does her skill have almost 100% up time with one of her passives, her burst is incredibly powerful. She's great in solo team play but really shines in a co-op setting. Hardcore Barbara stan here. She's really only let down by the fact that she applies wet to herself, but it kinda balances her bc without it she would be unstoppable and borderline op.

Personally I would put raiden shoguns in S tier because not only is it a big burst of damage, but you also get 7 seconds to go ham, all while regenerating insane amounts of energy for the rest of your team to keep the rotations going after the 7 seconds
Yeah i also think Raiden in S is fair.
If we compare Xiangling with Raiden: Both deal good damage. But Xiangling has energy issues but can abuse buffs like no one else (not only through snapshotting. Her ability to gain damage from EM, Atk, DMG% is really good. The only bad buff on her is defense) and she is off field the whole time. Raiden has a huge on field time but also abuses buffs really good (not as good as Xiangling) and she also recharges energy which makes her on field time more valuable than other on field chars. Like Diluc on field time csn be bad because he does damage but nothing mkre while Raiden also supports the team while annihilating enemies. But the difference between A and S is small. S is extremely useful and really good. B is the Middle which isn't bad. B is balance. So i like the overall Tierlist. A lot of stuff in B because most bursts are pretty well balanced.

I don't see why Raiden's lower than Xiangling considering Raiden can make it so that your entire team regenerates their bursts before she's even off the field? Yes she does huge damage, but unlike Xiangling she doesn't need buffs out the wazoo and her burst is *designed* to synergize with rotations and other characters using their bursts.
Xiangling isn't ever explicitly designed to have that synergy, and she just creates damage, with no other real utility.

Raiden shogun does significantly less dmg than eula with her burst, but she has electro infused NA that scales with burst dmg and energy recharge, recharges not only for the team, but also enough to refill her burst again. Then theres eula, her burst is a pain to use against certaint enemies for her burst to hit after racking up enough stacks, then if you hit your burst, huge PHYS dmg... and thats it. No energy recharge, buffs to teams etc.

This is a great video and fun.
But I hope you haven't forgotten some notable constellations for 4stars that can affect their placements. For example:
• Yanfei C4 that gives a shield and enables her Tankfei playstyle (but it isn't as high of a shielding capacity as Zhongli, circumstancially as good as Diona/Thoma)
• Sucrose C6 that gives elemental damage bonus from her Burst (it isn't as insane as Kazuha's skill but still relevant in terms of speaking about her Burst power)
• Thoma C6 gives Normal, Charge and Plunging Bonus when activating his Burst which is somehow in-tandem with/ better than just plain NA or flat Atk bonus.
This tier list was very contradictory. If it's based on the burst alone, how is fischl higher ranked than Sara or Chongyun?
How is Kazuha so high? without considering vv and the rest of his kit and elemental infusion and application capabilities, his burst is not good at all, at least sucrose's burst gives CC.
How are Yunjin and Gorou separated by a whole tier in between when both of their bursts are so similar, both are extremely niche, circumstantial bursts that function to buff specific characters/team comps.
Without Hu Tao's skill, her burst dmg output is extremely low, like an Aloy burst, it'd only make sense for both of them to be the same tier.
Also, seems he forgot that raiden's burst does more than just big numbers, and also forgot what diona's C6 does.
Other than that, some placements are just non-sensical, like how is kokomi's burst the same level as eula or xiao or even yae miko?
I don't mean to hate, but this video and tier list is very premature, and seems to be made with very little thought and research

I have so many issues with this whole video. Not only are all the rules used to rate them inconsistent, but you specified that the 4*s would be considered as C6, yet you put Bennett in the S tier when his C6 is so damn niche and not usable with some characters. YOu set up rules to rank them and then you scraped them completely. I find it quite hilarious that you made an entire video on meta-breaking characters and then you placed them in B because they don't have reaction multipliers. I love your videos, but this just screams prejudice, favouritism and bending the rules for the sake of having meta characters higher than they should be. Like, how is Ganyu A but Ayato is C? How is Shenhe B and Gorou D, when they are both only for certain team comps/characters yet C6 Gorou buffs, heals, etc.? I am confused as to how this is even ranked. By versatility or DMG or consistency? Because either way, this fails.
Ayato is truly a C tier burst though.
It's damage is significantly worse than Ganyu's, and it has a huge energy cost of 80. It's not that great.

Also with Razor, I think the ult not infusing him with electro or turning into physical works very well in his favor. It makes weapons like serpent spine work very well with him. Not to mention it gives an attack speed steroid which is something a claymore user that's reliant on normal attacking really appreciates.
Also gorou and sara essentially funciton the same way in terms of buffing. Gorou C6 can also heal and acquire crystalized shields which do significantly help with survivability. So if we were to take that into consideration it should be B tier at the very least imo.
Also i didnt really notice anything wrong with the way you spoke. Same soothing voice as per usual
Yoimiya's burst does have some supportive capability if you use her in an overload comp with Beidou and Fischl.
Yoimiya is my main and you're spot on with this. Her burst allows you to continue applying Pyro while she's off field OR proc when she's on field when support characters who initiate reactions off field are being utilized with her (IE Beidou and Fischl like you said but also: Xingchu, Yelan, Shenhue, Rosaria, Raiden, Lisa, Ayaka, Ayato, basically anyone with a support burst or skill with an elemental reaction with pyro)
Raiden's is S tier. It deals strong damage and/or generates a ton of energy so your characters can use their burst.
Fischl's burst isn't B tier. You use it so you can refresh Oz. So if you were ranking elemental skills, then, sure. But you're doing bursts, and her burst's value comes from her elemental skill, not the other way around.
Kokomi's burst isn't a B tier either. Her damage during the burst still isn't much to write home about. And while it does let her heal, well, that mostly only has value in co-op. For the rest, the JF keeps you alive anyway. Plus the big drawback, to use it, Kokomi has to be on the field. She doesn't even get to keep it off-field to buff her JF. In most teams, you don't want her on field. Instead, the main use for her burst is to keep the JF on the field while you keep Kokomi herself off it. Her burst is reduced to a support skill for her E, just like with Fischl. Kokomi's burst, by itself, is pretty mid. C tier.
Qiqi's burst is insanely powerful. Sure, you can say we don't really need healing, but Qiqi's burst in practice is more than that. 15s uptime, 20s downtime, so 75% coverage. And while it is up, as long as you can attack an affected enemy, you pretty much can't die. And unlike with Kokomi, you don't even need Qiqi on the field to get this benefit. Meaning you can run a character that, say, does way more damage than Kokomi. Especially since Qiqi can be doing 27k phys damage every 3s while off-field, during her burst's duration. But I digress. All that healing means that melee characters can pretty much just go to town, since they are less prone to getting knocked about, and can now instantly heal any damage they take. Mind you, it isn't perfect. Doesn't work as well against weak enemies, nor does it provide super armor. But even so, it makes characters nigh unkillable. The only healer burst better than it is Bennett's. Of course, the problem is that her kit has little to offer besides healing, not even energy particles on E use, and so you're better off with a more well rounded character, like Kokomi and her hydro application. Doesn't change that Qiqi's burst is nuts, though.
Xinyan also has rapid, but small, pyro hits, by the way.
There are some major change that I would consider is:
1. Raiden on S tier. Between Yelan & Ayaka, we surely not forgetting her energy refund right?
2. Mona on high A tier. Purely for her dmg bonus.
3. Ayato on high B tier. Don't forget that he is still hydro, combined with Venti's tornado & Ganyu's burst you got your own superstorm, and also hydro is still generally better in a lot of situation.
4. Yanfei on middle B tier. Refreshes her scarlet seal periodically, provide CA dmg bonus to her, at C4 she become Tankfei.
5. Fishcl on low C tier below albedo or high D tier. Just re-summon Oz, dmg once and reposition her, not much utility she can provide furthermore.
6. I generally surprised how Yunjin got in low B tier and Sara in high C tier, imo they should switch position because Sara attack buff is still more universal than Yunjin.
7. Gorou's burst beside it is basically his skill on steroid it still can provide 25% def buff to active character, pulling crystalize shard. It's still too niche if we talked about universality because he is only useful on Itto/Noelle comp, but I would put him on C tier after Yunjin.

Something about putting Hu Tao and Fischl’s bursts in the same tier really strikes me the wrong way. Same with Beidou and Kazuha
I think that raidens burst deserves to be in s tier because besides HUGE damage theres constant energy as well
I LOVE the flower mushroom (Lea Mushroom) the traveler summons during their Dendro Burst! It has a huge area, and the I think the mechanic of transfiguration via Hydro, Electro and Pyro is such a great idea. And since it's basically incorporeal, it last pretty long(12 seconds; +3 additional seconds with C4) with Burst of cooldown of 20 seconds, so.... about 75% uptime. Though the only thing I just don't get about the Lea Mushroom is that the Transfiguration is quite difficult to tell apart? They could at least make a sigil of sort with colour corresponding with the fusion Element, more apparent
I would absolutely love an "underrated characters" video or series, not gonna lie.
I definitely would not rate any of the simple damage bursts or off field damage bursts as S tier. Only ones worthy of S are Raiden because it has alot of utility outside of damage, Bennett for obvious reasons, and Venti because you literally can run it without artifacts and still greatly benefit. And maybe Mona for the omen utility. Anyone else would go into A personally. Also Raiden can one shot or do heavy damage at C0 + shes a powerful battery and has way more utility yet is ranked below Xiangling by argument of less impactful setups? ....What?
if we don't account for dmg then noelle have a better burst than raiden. It heals, have massive aoe and don't turn off when you swap characters.

I think it's based on utility instead, because another channel is already famous for a series of ranking based on aesthetics, it'd be too similar. Vars is usually more into gameplay mechanics than animations

Glad to see some Kaeya recognition, he deserves it! As someone who had him c6 for a long time, yes, he IS a cryo version of Xiangling. (His best team is also with Xiangling, ironically). Super sad to see how many people sleep on him even to this day.
I'm cackling, the two characters I wanted you to break down (Heizou and Kuki) got totally skipped. 10/10, keep up the great work lol
