I really love when she sings "ikiroooo". Btw, I think a lot of people missed the point of this song. It's not about hating the life you've been "given". It's about taking life lightly and joking about farewells/suicide like it's fashionable to do so, being powerless to do anything without actually trying to live, without actually knowing what a true farewell is, etc. That's why you're "hated by life"; because you're not taking it seriously and are just waiting for it to end, joking about people killing each other, hating others for arbitrary reasons, etc. It's kind of ironic, really, because the message a lot of people get from this song is the exact opposite of what it's trying to say.

This is my first time hearing this song, so I looked it up and I'm glad I heard OKayu's version first. Its so much better than the other ones that I found on google.
I love and hate this... Her voice just resonates with me so much and having the lyrics translated so i can understand the song better... It is tearing down walls that i built to myself for being bullied 14 years in school. (verbal violence, physical violence(its easier count the bones that are not broken) stolen items that never got back to me, from classmates and couple teachers, moving to 4 different school just because bullying) Thats why i hate this song. I dont want to remember those hellish days as they were literal hell, i dont want to feel that knife ever again in my back(age 17) or that gun pointed at me(age 19)or that broken and dislocated shoulder (age 15) or all my teeths being kicked in(ages 9, 10, 13 and 21) being told im trash and that i dont have worth as human and i should just die to make space for others for years and years in row and so many things i dont want to remember...and i dont know how i did not kill myself with all that torture…. Finland isnt as perfect with the education system as its shown outside of finland. This is not too uncommon to happens... But i love this song as it reminds me that i got through all of that without breaking even if it was at the limits and maybe bit beyond... and thus i know i can deal with everything life will throw at me now!(hopefully...) Its hell of a thing for 29year old(as writing of this i just had b-day not long ago) to look back and realise it has literaly taken half my existence to go through that hell... It has left a lot of physical marks(which most have healed) and really deep mental scars that took me long time to accept that some of them will never heal BUT songs like these DO HELP. I HATE the fact it brings up stuff to my mind that i have repressed for years and forgotten as the pain is at times so crushing its insane... But i love the feeling that songs like this bring out of me to deal those dark feelings. As someone who is broken to the point ducktape doesnt work.... Furthermore, the more you suffered, the more warmer your heart will be, just like Okayu, she's Open, she's Warm, she's Understandable, she's a very good friend, she's also a good teacher to all of us. Those high notes, she makes it look so easy! I think this is one of the best covers of this song out there. Fun fact, Okayu used to hate her voice, even when she joined Hololive. Eventually people started praising her voice and she started to be more confident about it. That's part of the reason she is in Gamers division (also she is a hardcore gamer)

This is my first time hearing this song, so I looked it up and I'm glad I heard OKayu's version first. Its so much better than the other ones that I found on google.
I love and hate this... Her voice just resonates with me so much and having the lyrics translated so i can understand the song better... It is tearing down walls that i built to myself for being bullied 14 years in school. (verbal violence, physical violence(its easier count the bones that are not broken) stolen items that never got back to me, from classmates and couple teachers, moving to 4 different school just because bullying) Thats why i hate this song. I dont want to remember those hellish days as they were literal hell, i dont want to feel that knife ever again in my back(age 17) or that gun pointed at me(age 19)or that broken and dislocated shoulder (age 15) or all my teeths being kicked in(ages 9, 10, 13 and 21) being told im trash and that i dont have worth as human and i should just die to make space for others for years and years in row and so many things i dont want to remember...and i dont know how i did not kill myself with all that torture…. Finland isnt as perfect with the education system as its shown outside of finland. This is not too uncommon to happens...
But i love this song as it reminds me that i got through all of that without breaking even if it was at the limits and maybe bit beyond... and thus i know i can deal with everything life will throw at me now!(hopefully...)
Its hell of a thing for 29year old(as writing of this i just had b-day not long ago) to look back and realise it has literaly taken half my existence to go through that hell... It has left a lot of physical marks(which most have healed) and really deep mental scars that took me long time to accept that some of them will never heal BUT songs like these DO HELP. I HATE the fact it brings up stuff to my mind that i have repressed for years and forgotten as the pain is at times so crushing its insane... But i love the feeling that songs like this bring out of me to deal those dark feelings.
As someone who is broken to the point ducktape doesnt work.... I am glad there are songs and singers like Okayu who help ease the pain and let me heal even if its just small part, but when you add all those small parts together it does matter a ton!!!
P.s.
I have no idea why i wrote this, but while i was doing it, looped this song and it broke me so hard and tared some of those walls down and with all that crying it was hard to focus writing as its just so painful... I now have migraine and need a shower to was away these tears... But im glad i wrote all of this... I just hope i could write in japanese and tell Okayu how much her singing has helped me last couple of months....

Seriously i don't want to give up my life, i want to keep living. However, with this incurable disease there's no way i can live long enough. I want to make something that people will remember me before i die.

I think this is one of the best covers of this song out there.
Fun fact, Okayu used to hate her voice, even when she joined Hololive. Eventually people started praising her voice and she started to be more confident about it. That's part of the reason she is in Gamers division (also she is a hardcore gamer)
