Yes, indeed he was. Willie better known locally as Codlin Willie was a very nice gentleman and was always ready to share his tales of the sea and the fishing industry. I spent many hours with him and marveled at his amazing life.

Yes indeed his father was the original Codlin but as Wullie says, " I inheritet it fa ma father." Some aroon the harbour are saying young Willie is being called "Codlin Wullie, " now so that is the story.

The great value of this short snippet of my long film is partly his life story but his local Scots Accent, known locally as Belger- Cairnbulg.
A fine way to preserve his legacy and this unique and historic accent!
