Thanks to the following people for the story and song within this film: John Sellar- there is a flicker on the film I could not eradicate- then Dod Cartney's story- recorded 1957-Jean Mackinnon for her husband's song and his lovely voice singing about the last days of the Meal Mull; Peter Chapman for his story and singing Ian Midiltons song about the Thrashin Mull. Our grandson Ciaran Shepherd for his accordion piece. The other melody is by Pat Wood on accordion and me on guitar.
Another great post James , & a very good cover from Peter of the late great Ian Middleton’s Thrashin Mull . Many thanks again for your posts .
Thank you Avril. Some of the recordings are quite old.
