When someone leaves. A child needs security.. Seeing all her things arranged makes her feel secure. You are doing great. They will be fine. Lots and lots of love.
Jen I have watched you from day one for what feels like a trillion years and I adore you. Your life struggle right now is heartbreaking and I wish I could be your friend and tell you wonderful words of encouragement and honestly just give you a hug. You are an inspiration to me and it makes me so sad that you have to defend yourself for every little action and thing you say. You have done nothing wrong. My husband and I have been stocking up the past 2 weeks we did the same trying to get a months worth of stuff. We are used to a certain amount of comfort and we want to make sure we are comfortable. I to struggle with anxiety. We can get through this. You are amazing and don’t ever listen to the trolls.
I think you are doing an amazing job all around. Your love and compassion has always made me smile. Your strength and resilience have only added to making you an impressive woman. Finding our way in uncertain times and difficult relationship situations is always trying. The smiles and giggles of your children spotlight what a great mom you are. hugs, eileen
Jen, everyone has a story to tell and yours is refreshingly honest. You are doing a phenomenal job as a woman. You’re super smart and well prepared for this crazy time. (And by the way you have all the skills you need that you’ve learned throughout the years to handle your anxiety. You’re doing great) I realized yesterday in this new home of ours that I did not have the three things we need when we get colds. A thermometer, Mucinex, NyQuil. Went out to the store and the craziest thing I bought was a huge $40 package of Mucinex. Now that’s crazy. Hugs🌸
I was so excited to see you posted a vlog! I love your vlogs & you being so open and honest is calming to me. It provides normalcy in this crazy time & is just a comfort. You’re doing great!!
I absolutely love this! I love seeing how your coping and makes me feel normal. Lol I am also extremely impressed by how organized your pantry is! And your daughters organization is the cutest!!!
What a wonderful treat to be able to listen to your voice and follow you around a little bit, especially in times like these. You are a beautiful and strong soul, Jen, and I appreciate you more than I can say/write!
I am so glad I'm not the only struggling with the news and the quiet moments. I don't have children but I live alone, and after a day at work the quiet just gets to me. Totally understand!! Thank you so much for sharing this video! Love all your content! Stay safe 💕
I teared up at the end of this video; you're doing great & I'm glad you were able to prep. I look forward to listening to your calm, peaceful voice during this anxiety ridden time. 💗
Oddest impulse buy... my 35 year old husband came home with 30 hot wheel toy cars in the grocery haul ... 🤦🏻♀️💁🏻♀️ that’s the last time I let him do the pandemic grocery shopping 😂
😂😂😂 That’s why I don’t allow my husband to come shopping with me. If we go grocery shopping, he puts random snacks and freezer junk food in the cart and if he comes to Walmart or Target with me, he wants a big boy toy like a remote control helicopter 😂
You’re always so vulnerable. I was feeling panicked when I had to work all weekend and couldn’t get to the stores. When I finally went out Monday and Tuesday there wasn’t ANY fresh or frozen produce at Whole Foods. I’ve had to go to multiple stores to find some of what I normally use. Still haven’t found TP. Lol. I’m good for another week and then......😬 The rapidly progressing information is unnerving and the fact I work at a hospital produces further anxiety. I’m doing all the right things and hoping it’s enough. Your ability to be open and raw is actually comforting. We’re not alone. Sending you a virtual hug.❤️
I am stocking up as well, mostly because we are self isolating because my 83 year old FIL lives with us so we are also trying not to go out except for walks. We are being hyper vigilant wiping anything that comes into our house. Thats what we are doing, you do what you need to do! Don't let anyone judge you. Stay healthy!
Hi Jen - YOU provide me so much comfort. I always feel like we're friends!! The weirdest thing I stocked up on for sure are a ton of books - for me and for my kids! :) For me, it's just as key as food! :S
Thank you for sharing! Watching this helps me feel connected and really emphasizes that we’re all in the same boat. Please continue. These videos really bring brightness to my day!
I actually smiled when I saw that you had a new post. Thank you for continuing the connection. I think that connections are very important at this time.
Jen, I just have to say seeing your video pop up in my subscription box made my day/week. Then I watched the video and just felt happy and joy filled once again in a time that is so trying for everyone. Thank you so much for your video and providing so much encouragement and sharing your calmness.
Jen, I think you are ROCKING this like a freaking BOSS, honestly!!! You dont have to explain a thing to the people watching your videos. We LOVE watching you because you inspire us, and give us great ideas. I love how you're staying on top of things and preparing. I think you're like most of us, we get carried away with anxiety we need to get some control and get prepared...so bravo!!!!! Not only are you navigating the virus and trying to protect your family, you're learning your new normal of sharing your babies! Sister, You keep doing what you're doing because you're really are going to be able to do this!!! LOVE this so much!
Did anyone else cry when Jen talked about the kids leaving? 😭 Literally broke my heart because I know how much family means to her. I’m also happy to see that Jen and Don still seem to have a great working relationship as she makes him hand sanitizer. Always taking care of others. That’s a good reminder for us all during a times like this. It’s interesting to me how “social distancing” is actually bringing families in America closer together ❤️
Love your channel. Honestly Jenn it’s your life, if you want back ups of back ups that’s your business. If not, that’s fine too. I’m all for you doing you. No apologies needed. There are many people out here just like you and we are here to support you.
You are doing great, everyone has anxiety. Don’t listen to anything anyone is telling you to do unless it’s new information that resonates with you. And keep smiling, it’s going to be OK.
Thank you for using your UA-cam channel to connect with us. I appreciate the bits of joy and moments of friendly chatting, as a break from the news updates! Yes, when children experience change in their routine (not going to school, extracurricular activities being cancelled, etc.) organizing/ sorting help give children something they can control. My daughters both already made a 'remote learning' schedule for our current social distancing days. Hope you all continue to be well. This too shall pass. Sending hugs!
God bless you Jennifer, I am so sorry for what you are going through! I will be praying for you that you find peace in your situation. God heals the broken-hearted.
Back when you were OLJ, I was OBSESSED with your channel, and then I somehow fell off the wagon, but I’ve always checked up on you to see how you were doing. I will wholeheartedly admit that you seem so much more real to me now than you ever did before. You seem more comfortable and chill, despite the fact that you’re going through a tough time right now. I’ve loved seeing you evolve and improve yourself for your own benefit. Great video as always! Take care, darlin!
First time I write to anyone, I have to take off my hat to you in the way you have your home and take care of your family. I’m 54 years old and I have 3 grown men as wonderful sons and that’s how I did everything at home and now they are repeating the cycle. Sending you positive vives, allow your self to be happy and be sad, that’s ok too. They’re people out there that talk (write) not thinking everything that’s you send out always has consequences. Very sad to be grown and act a certain way. I love your blogs and always look forward to seeing your beautiful family. God Bless and keep safe.
Jen, I never comment on videos, but I wanted to just say that I love your videos and watching you share what you are doing during this crazy time in our lives. It is unknown of what is going to happen, and we are all having to find ways to cope with it the best way we can. I am glad you showed what you bought at the store, and I am finding it helpful to see how others are preparing for whatever comes our way. One of my strangest things I stocked up on was tooth paste....I couldn't imagine running out of tooth paste during this time! Stay safe, & lots of love from NC!
I was thinking about which UA-camr I've been watching the longest ever since I got into watching UA-cam and it's YOU. Yup, I've followed your journey and growth over the past 8 or so years. I'm just invested. Thank you for always being real and opened. ❤️
The sorting might be her way of coping with change...she might be trying to control her environment. On a separate note: I have about 40 oranges and 12 lemons in my fridge right now. 😂 Hang in there! 💜
I agree with you about her coping. My first thought was that she is bringing order to the things that she CAN control in a situation that might feel out of control to her. It is a healthy coping mechanism.
It’s a normal part of brain development that presents in every child. It’s an analytical skill not a control mechanism. :’) Many learning psychologists call it the Positioning Schema. Google it. It’s very interesting.
Teresa Ellis it doesn’t make you bad...it makes you smart. I don’t think anyone needs to justify themselves. I prepared over a week ago and some of my friends and coworkers were giving me a hard time about it. Didn’t have to panic buy this week like everyone else. Got enough for 2 or 3 weeks.
Jen, we are all feeling very anxious in this situation. You are doing quite well with stocking and thinking things through for yourself as nd your kids. Your so lucky to have your family so close to visit when you need some calming time together. We will all just take it one day at a time. And we are all in this together. Kindness and thoughtfulness is very necessary at this time especially. Thanks for posting, and keep up the sharing. I know I really need to see other people still going about their lives, especially with little ones. They lift my heart so much!! Hugs and ty.
I loved this! Here in australia they've limited how many things we can actually buy now to two items of anything. It has been confirmed that theres plenty of food for our stores they just need time for the trucks to deliver to the stores. Also, an idea for any of the fruit would be to freeze it (you probably already do this anyway!) when it starts to really ripen and can use for smoothies. This is what I do any time. I love your videos and love seeing how people are getting through these times.
Oh, CC’s sorting makes my planner/organizer heart fill with joy. She’s so cute! Our family has prepared in a non hoarding way as well. It makes me feel safe that we have done so and I am glad I’m not the only one. I have peace of mind in that we are prepared to not leave our home. Stay safe, Jen! Thank you for the content.
The strange things I stocked up on were candles and salt scrubs. Weird, I know but aromatherapy and at home spa moments are very calming to me. Sending virtual love and light your way.
I love that you and Don are working together as far as the children are concerned. That always doesn’t happen. Your kids are very fortunate to have such great parents! Stay safe! I bought a large amount of M&Ms! All for me! Jackie from Indiana
Thank you for the video! Went to the grocery store on Monday so I used buying groceries treats that I’ve been meaning to try or experience as my coping mechanism. Spent three times more than usual but I was happy went I got home with my purchases. Anytime I’ve traveled in the States or internationally buying new snacks is my favorite treat/souvenir to myself. I understand completely about knowing your anxiety triggers and knowing when your comfortable enough that you hope not to get a flare! I wish you all the best for you and your family!!
Thinking of you and praying for you and yours during this time. I know my anxiety is through the roof will all that is going on as well. Thank you for sharing this difficult time and preparing well. Never apologize for taking care of your family. Also, I wanted to really thank you for getting/allowing Donny a baby doll. As an adoptive mother, I had a young teen boy come to me right before Christmas and all he wanted was a doll, always had; however, previous foster families wouldn't allow a boy to have a doll. The joy of watching him light up and care for that doll has been one of my most treasured memories. I think it is important to allow open play and I can see the difference it makes in how he cares for younger siblings, cousins, and other tiny family members.
I’ve been watching you for years, I love all of your videos!!! Stocking up on seasonings is actually in the top categories of things to have during a crisis because it can flavor otherwise bland canned or frozen foods!!! I get very excited when I see your channel has a new video!!!
I live in Western NY but I work for companies that are based in China, so I’m in constant contact with teachers, parents, children, government workers, families, all living in China. I talk with them everyday. I’ve been watching this virus very closely since it started in China back in mid-January. People here are not really realizing the severity of this virus and the importance of staying home and prepping your home for that isolation. You do what you need to do to keep yourself and your family healthy, safe, and sane during this time. Most of the people I talk to in my job are still at home. Students in China haven’t gone to school since January and won’t go back until mid-April to May. This is not a joke, and I feel sorry for those that think it is.
I am glad you’ve taken actions to feel more prepared and secure. What you have done, frankly, is non of my business or anyone else’s. You did not ask advice or suggestions on what to do. Having said that, I am grateful for you sharing any content. It gives me something to look forward to and after two weeks ( we started early) of complete social distancing, it brightens my days.
What a beautifully stocked fridge and pantry! I have been a long time fan of your channels and your family! I wish you the very best....you were such a lovely couple and created a beautiful family....the children are so very young so my hope for you is that you can find your way back to happiness …..and balance...it's just the beginning! Sending warm hugs!
You’re amazing Jen, such insight. Thank you. It’s hard to prepare here in the mid-Atlantic with everyone panic buying everything from every piece of meat to cat litter and another in between. I’ve always admired how well you kept on top of things. Keep doing what you’re doing. I wish I was that organized and on top of things.
You are the sweetest! You don’t have to explain your purchases, you are taking care of your family! Stay strong! We will all get through this. If I never had to go to grocery again I’d be happy. I used to make baby wipes when my young adult girls were babies they were great. But I don’t even think you can get the paper towels you would need to do it. Thanks for sharing.
I stocked up on Chocolate Chips so we can make cookies repeatedly, which is weird for me because I am really careful with my diet usually. I just figure now is the time to treat myself and my family. We are under a shelter in place order in the Bay Area for the next few weeks at least.
scrapgirl82 I was guessing it was a bit of both- decorating and security . Also she is going to daddy’s now so she may want to see her stuff in case she wants to take something with her. Cher’ Bebe’💜
@Sue Oxford Uh, was that directed at me? I was commenting about Charlotte, and saying it's cute that she is playing grown-up decorator. Not sure how you perceive that as negative? But Jen, if you did, I apologize. I think it's pretty stinkin' cute!
@@Ann_Barbie Yes, thank you. I edited my original post to add Charlotte's name instead of a generic "she." Sorry if that wasn't clear to people! No negative intent here whatsoever.
I have been connected to your channel for years, and every time I watch your videos I become more and more sure that you are an incredible, sweet, good and loving person. Really love your work, your messages, your speeches, your feelings. From an online friend. God bless you all during this period. 🙏🏻✨
We already had plenty of food, but I went out and bought more to make sure there was no way that we would run out. It just makes me feel better knowing we won't run out. I also ordered an extra bag of dog food from Chewy just in case the company that makes my dog's food shuts down. Really enjoyed your video, can't wait to see your next one.
I did exactly what you did.❤️ My kids are 18 & 22, and they are here with us. I feel so much better knowing we have what we need, and I’m truly grateful to have to resources to prepare. We are in Texas and with tornado season approaching, we have that to contend with as well. Prayers and blessings for good health and protection for you and yours. 💖😊
I feel so bad how nervous you were to share this with everyone! I'm also a person who likes to be prepared! And I feel better knowing I have what I need and what I can to best prepare my family, and of course that looks different for everyone! Thank you for sharing, I do enjoy these types of videos and you do have to do what makes you feel better and comfortable!
Good job Jen. We did similar grocery shopping mid last week. I LOVE your sweatshirt too. Thank goodness this virus isn’t known for affecting little kids badly. Breath, Breath, Breath, meditate, pray and love. Love you. Love this video
Thanks for sharing. I think you will be glad you recorded this when looking back, this is a unprecedented time. Please don't feel like you need to defend everything you do...we love you no matter what! Always! :)
I loved this vlog! Thanks for sharing your prep! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this uncertain time in the world! My recent favorites for calming my anxiety have been drawing, gratitude journaling, self pampering and comedies.
"strange" thing I stocked up on Taco seasoning? Popcorn,WINE all the Wine. I also stocked up on chocolate/ crackers/junk food we usually don't buy for bribing my son...Just saying pre school is out for probably the rest of the year!
I believe at times like this it’s important to be kind and to take care of others and yourself. Your mental comfort is important. As someone who suffers anxiety I have also felt this!
You're an amazing Mommy. I love that while you're stocking up you're also thinking about treats for your kids. You're so strong and have been such a Blessing to this Mama over the years that I've watched you on you tube. Take Care.
Thank you for posting this! I found it helpful and calming especially as I’ve been in a mental state of try to prepare and my husband is more laid back almost to a point where I don’t think he understands my anxiety over this. I know we have to try and breath and take things day by day but the unknown is scary and sometimes feeling prepared helps to decrease the uneasiness and makes you feel a little better and more in control. Sending positive thoughts your way☺️
I am so happy to see you uploading a video! You are truly a mother to admire and follow and I respect your willingness to share how you are preparing. I am expecting my second son in less than a month (here in Colorado) and it is definitely difficult to imagine having a newborn and toddler during this bizarre and sad time. Thank you for offering us friends some normalcy!
I really hope you're doing ok. It sounds like your near to crying most of the video. Having a split family isn't easy at the best of times. I'm a step mum to some wonderful girls, and it's hard to know what to do and how to cope.
ahundtgolden Not sure if your parents are in a place where they could afford it, but if they have a private company/individual cleaning for them, maybe they can consider continuing to pay that person - even just partially? I saw a Facebook post about this. I used to own a cleaning service and I solely supported myself (along with a bar tending/serving job). This virus would have devastated me financially. I imagine many people are feeling this. I mean......if your parents can’t afford it they shouldn’t put themselves in financial jeopardy. Just a thought. 😁
Thank you for sharing this. I have felt a lot of anxiety today about everything and something about your rational, organized way of preparing helped. Stay Safe.
When someone leaves. A child needs security.. Seeing all her things arranged makes her feel secure. You are doing great. They will be fine. Lots and lots of love.

“I’m not worried about tp, cause I think there is more than one way to wipe your butt.” I love this lady!!!!
YES! Hahahaha!!!!
That was exactly what I thought to myself regarding tp
Yes, but she shouldn't be worried if she just got a 3 month supply. I can't even imagine it! That would make it very easy not to worry.
That should be a video topic LOL!
So true!! The t p out of control here🤦🏻♀️
My heart broke when I heard you speak about having to share the kids. I can't even imagine. Stay strong, you can do this. Prayers and love
Then stay together, and work things out!!
This is the content that I love seeing from you. Don’t worry about what others think you are so helpful to many of us!!!
I’m proud of you Jen! You’re showing such grace during a time I know is so difficult for you. Hugs and love to you and your family 💕
I think you are doing an amazing job all around. Your love and compassion has always made me smile. Your strength and resilience have only added to making you an impressive woman. You are such an inspiration to others ... Thank you for all your very helpful videos.
I started to write a comment several times and decided that all I really wanted to say is you’re doing awesome!
Your videos are so comforting to me thank you

You helped me so much today. Love your attitude. You are doing so well. Thank you for being you. God bless.
Virtual hugs across the miles. You and your family are in my prayers. Good for you to find joy in flowers and also for getting some for your Mom.
Thanks for sharing! You’re doing a fantastic job with your children and planning for this time of craziness... you should be so proud of yourself!
I also purchased flowers. Needed something bright and beautiful in my world. Thank you for sharing!!

I know I really need to see other people still going about their lives, especially with little ones. They lift my heart so much!! Hugs and ty.
You are in such a great space I can literally feel your growth and energy. I'm admire your realness and openness as of lately.
Thank you Jenn. You have me some good ideas. Be safe..Everything will be ok...GOD Bless You & the kids
Thank you for keeping it real and showing true emotion! We are all doing the best we can in strange times. God Bless
Gratitude over guilt. I'm grateful for your perspective and your family's coordinated effort to do your part.
I’ve been watching you for years, I love all of your videos!!! Stocking up on seasonings is actually in the top categories of things to have during a crisis because it can flavor otherwise bland canned or frozen foods!!! I get very excited when I see your channel has a new video!!!
Jessica Martin I need to find that everything seasoning! Lol
It gives me something to look forward to and after two weeks ( we started early) of complete social distancing, it brightens my days.
it’s so precious seeing cc grow into her own!!!!! seeing kids come into their personalities is adorable!
i loves this video Jen - we are all in similar situations and states of minds, thanks for keeping it real!
Thanks for vlogging! It provides a much needed sense of community.
I’m glad you bought the flowers. I think as a society needs to be normal as possible right now.
Thanks for sharing, Jen! This was a welcome distraction! Be safe!
You too, friend 💕
Thank you so much for sharing! Wishing your family health and wellness during this time.
Good for you for still sharing your life knowing the judgement you may receive! You are awesome 👍🏻
I stocked up on Chocolate Chips so we can make cookies repeatedly, which is weird for me because I am really careful with my diet usually. I just figure now is the time to treat myself and my family. We are under a shelter in place order in the Bay Area for the next few weeks at least.
thank you for uploading! it provides some much needed normalcy and comfort. we appreciate you!
Thank you for sharing your tips on how you deal with anxiety at the moment! Always love watching your vlogs x
Jen, you did a terrific job shopping for your family. Emotions are contagious. Stay well 😚❤🙏
To me it looks like Charlotte is playing grown up. She is “decorating” just like she sees the grownups decorate! It’s adorable!
scrapgirl82 I was guessing it was a bit of both- decorating and security . Also she is going to daddy’s now so she may want to see her stuff in case she wants to take something with her. Cher’ Bebe’💜
Sue Oxford I am sorry if something I said sounded mean or nasty. It absolutely wasn’t intended to be.
To be clear the original poster is talking about CC!
I'm praying for you to be surrounded in peace. And yes we are all in this together.
OMG tha fridge..love it. I really like how neat it looks!
I LOVE that you bought flowers!!!! We ALL need to have life in our worlds right now!
"strange" thing I stocked up on Taco seasoning? Popcorn,WINE all the Wine. I also stocked up on chocolate/ crackers/junk food we usually don't buy for bribing my son...Just saying pre school is out for probably the rest of the year!
ah yes, I also stocked upon on popcorn, triscuits and wine!
YES to popcorn 😉
Aww jen I just love you lol. Sending love and prayers your way! Thanks for sharing a video :)
I believe at times like this it’s important to be kind and to take care of others and yourself. Your mental comfort is important. As someone who suffers anxiety I have also felt this!
Oh girl, I can hear it in your voice. I am having those same anxiety moments. We will make it together, Prayers to you and your family.
You're an amazing Mommy. I love that while you're stocking up you're also thinking about treats for your kids. You're so strong and have been such a Blessing to this Mama over the years that I've watched you on you tube. Take Care.
Thanks Jen! You made me laugh! 💕 Stay home, stay safe, stay sane. Lots of love from Belgium! 🥰
Sending positive thoughts your way☺️
I planted a lavender and chamomile plant so I'd never run out of tea!🤣🤣
Sending love and well wishes from our family in Newfoundland to you and yours!
Are you still having your cleaning people come? My parents canceled theirs for the foreseeable future.
ahundtgolden Not sure if your parents are in a place where they could afford it, but if they have a private company/individual cleaning for them, maybe they can consider continuing to pay that person - even just partially? I saw a Facebook post about this. I used to own a cleaning service and I solely supported myself (along with a bar tending/serving job). This virus would have devastated me financially. I imagine many people are feeling this. I mean......if your parents can’t afford it they shouldn’t put themselves in financial jeopardy. Just a thought. 😁
Take care! 🥰. I have been splitting time with my ex for over 10 years. It does get better. Thinking of you during this transition time in life. 🌸
Thanks for sharing, Jen! Hope you & your kids are doing well.
I was hoping you were going to show your grocery haul 😅
Me too
I love shopping hauls
Me too
Enjoyed this video a lot Jenn. Thanks! Social distancing here in Ireland. Day 6 now and going a bit loopy!
Thank you for this content! I really warms up the heart. So kind. All the best!
Thank you for sharing this. I have felt a lot of anxiety today about everything and something about your rational, organized way of preparing helped. Stay Safe.
