Bro I want a phone for gaming can you give Redmagic 9 Pro please please please
Thts, a great deal
Can you do battery drain test against iPhone, xiaomi, Samsung,...etc
@@bcheruiyot1113 6500mAh even if the efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was bad, you still have almost double the capacity than any other normal phone
What launcher do you use? I like how clean yours look. 4:20
As a person who don't use the selfie camera at all... i really like the design.
Ive been waiting for someone to review this phone, thank you for making this video nick.
I went from iPhone 7 to Asus Rog 2, to Red Magic 7, and I'll be getting Red Magic 9 Pro for sure.
Dont do it man... Unless you want to buy mine.... Software is glitchy as f. And when you talk to customer service they only say to restore factory settings😂
@@ernestograf4964 you have the 9 pro? China Or global rom?
Bought it in germany using the website
Been waiting for this review!! Love this beast of a phone! Thanks so much for the review
Out of all reviews, I have been waiting for yours.
I'm using the Red Magic 5G for almost 4 years now. And I'm definitely getting this one. It's time to upgrade 🎉
So what are your plans about the old device?
@@yashpatil7902 I don't know actually. Do you have any thoughts?
Maybe I will experiment custom roms not worrying about sabotaged time for my main phone
Same here ! my 5G has been going fine for year. just felt like it was time for an upgrade. :D
same here, all the games still work at 60 FPS and the bare min I get is 50 cuz of having almost full storage
@@Zeldriis well in Wild Rift in heavy fights and effects it drops to 45 FPS sometimes. I cannot turn on highest setting. Just playing at medium or else I will get 45 most of the time and it dips below 30 FPS
Thanks for the detailed review, Nick...helped me to make a decision and finally order my transparent 9 pro.
Its actually great for its price
I couldn't agree more!
What is the phone price
700 dollars
@@dont_fallbe_probg5228what that’s crazy cheap
@@dont_fallbe_probg5228 700 what? USD?
I’m using red magic 6 pro since resale.. and it’s amazing in gaming playing CODM on 90 fps with low heat for 5 hours straight
GJ Nick. Waiting for SD 8g3 vs 8g2 vs exynos 2400 vs D9300 vs 9200+ vs 8300 Ultimate comparison! (Tho, I wouldn't be mad if u omit the Exynos and D8300 from the list for now). GL!
Love with the design and you review sir ❤❤
Awesome review - super informative!
awesome review bro i loved it, definitely getting the 215gb model tho. amazing phone
Thank you very helpful video, I would ask, How many android os versions that phone supports?
Are the main and macro cameras on par with the 14 pro Max? or which one ? Thanks
I currently have an Iphone SE 2022 model and this phone is looking so good rn
Hey @technick, how do I purchase this or other phones such as this one in South Africa?
Hi from Morocco... best reviewer
i cant be the only guy who skips the crappy camera review on all phones....because i dont care
I'm with you. Already has a digital camera for that activity
Don't worry you're not alone mate..to me all i wanted for a smartphone is the performance.. especially when gaming..camera meh..i think it's just a bonus.. I'm okay even if the phone got a single camera for both front and the back..
i also skip all the camera nonsense. some people actually argue over which phone has the better cameras. i'm like 🤦♂
Please include it in your next battery test video. Thanks!
Hi. Charger block in your review is US spec. Will it work in SA? Is the LTE band spec right for SA?
In this new version of Magic OS network, you can control the b Separate volume of multiple sounds when in split screen or when in floating screen?
Sick mate how would you go about a case for dustproofing/ water please mate seems only negative with this not that can afford one
I still use oneplus 7 pro, with pop up camera, so no quality compromise and still notchless experience, i dont know why manufactures dont do it anymore
Never been a fan of pop up camera. It takes longer to take a selfie.
Hardware issues
@@Dan_Vice it's really fast, not really
@@vit23745Not that fast but sounds like enough for you. I have used one for 3 years but if you use a S22, S23 Ultra, you would easily feel the difference.
Yep same, had a Global OnePlus 7T Pro brand new, then battery got very hot after 2 years. Replaced battery, but I think it's a charging regulator issue. I then got my 1st 7T Pro McLaren, for the extra RAM and well...the snazzy branding and all! Anyway, once you go no-selfie camera notch, there's NO going back...at least not for me!
Because end of life updates stopping at Android 12 for the OnePlus 7 Series, I thought to go OP 10 pro. But hey, it ended up lying in my drawer cloned to be exactly like I had my 7T Pro...but man, that BLACK HOLE stealing screen real estate...I just can't get over it...sorry.
I got my Wife a 7 Pro 2 years ago and my two sons both have OP 7 Pro's that I got for them. All Amazon refurbished, so got them just about AS NEW for under $300, and just added warp charge bricks and cables to replace the generic nonsense they usually send with refurbished goods.
So, here I am STILL using my McLaren, with an Amazon refurbished McLaren and brand new original McLaren cover as a backup in case anything goes wrong. You know how it is when you buy a really good pair of shoes or t-shirt or whatever, that your REALLY like, and then eventually it gets worn out later? So many times I then wished I had ANOTHER pair of the same shoes, or an exact replacement! Hahaha, so I got a backup McLaren as well, just in case.
Its simply one of the best phones I've EVER had, and it's still as nippy as anything !! I'm NOT a pro gamer, but I do love decent gadgets that can take the abuse and pressure with heavy design apps and video editing tools etc. I for instance have a Razer Blade 15 lap top, love it...metal chassis...just really a SOLID thing! Back then my McLaren was the talk of the town, and the branding was killer as well. I love my phone THAT much !
But, failing the OP10 pro that didn't impress ENOUGH for me to fall in love with it, I closed my eyes a few days ago and pre-ordered the Redmagic 10 Pro (shipping on 27th December I just got notified!) and got the 16GB RAM version on a special deal with one day to go before the deal ended. I wasn't LOOKING for a phone, it just popped up somewhere in an AliExpress ad and got my attention...and so I decided to check it out. Being NOT officially released, it was tricky to get proper unboxing, hands-on reviews...and yours was AMAZING @Technick.
Sure, camera-shwamera...but honestly, unless you're serial photo freak, or pro photo critic constantly comparing between brands...WHO CARES!? The Camera is WAY enough on the Redmagic for general everyday use. I'm not entering any photo competitions anytime soon.
With all these camera bumps getting bigger and protruding more and more on flagships, it's actually becoming an eye-sore in my view. I always say that if you want to take pro photos, go buy a REAL camera. One of these days these phones might end up looking like a REAL old school analog Canon camera with lenses...and oh look, it can PHONE as well!?hahaha.
Seriously, the mobile camera focus and frenzy is getting a bit ridiculous in my view...unless you really like spending 80% of the day looking at yourself and taking pictures of yourself like many young tiktok girls perhaps?
A camera used to be an added extra on a phone back in the day! Now its becoming the DO or DIE thing for many and THE deciding factor whether to buy a phone or not. Really?? ? Nee wat, kry maar vir julle! I don't think I'll have any of my clients losing sleep because my soon-to-be Redmagic 9 Pro front camera is looking slightly hazy during a ZOOM call. I use DroidCam via PC for planned ZOOM or TEAMS conference calls anyway, with my phone on a tripod as it's still better than the native laptop camera. The OP7T Pro was brilliant and much better than most laptop built-in cameras, so I'll be doing he same with the Nubia....OR, I guess I can keep the OPT Pro for that?
My point is, it's SO not going to add anything or take away anything from my life not to win selfie contests, and I would sacrifice a bit of photo or video quality and NOT have that visible stolen real estate on my screen ANY DAY!
I'm NOT an Apple guy, never been...but had a look at pics of the Apple 15 pro. WHAT THE HELL is that black BS taking up a third of the screen!?? Also, my OP has some rounded corners, curved glass...sure...but any more curves on that Apple 15 and the whole phone will look as round as a mini induction stove plate! hahaha Geeesh dude, NOOOO WAY, keep your titanium stove plate with a camera on.
If I want to watch a movie or Netflix or anything, I SO do not want some black dot ANYWHERE ON MY SCREEN, OR the screen to be cropped with software trying to hide the camera region. My new Redmagic square corners will probably display videos and movies and games even BETTER than my OnePlus, with dimensions and ratios almost like mini TV actually.
Look, you'll only relate to this- and really understand the hole-punch controversy if you've actually HAD a notch-less phone. Folks who use other brands are conditioned to "get used to it" I guess, but I for one just can't go backwards. So, a bit less selfie quality in exchange for a hidden under the screen camera to replace the current pop-up cam of my OP7 T Pro (best thing since sliced bread, I swear!)....sure, I can do that ANY DAY, ALL day!
I can just imagine having had a pop-up camera WITH that headphone jack on the Redmagic WOW!!! It would have just annihilated ANY remaining minor or personal objections from any others that might be bothered by the under display camera issue. I'm just fine with it.
Anyway, 2 days to go and they ship FedEx, so I might add another comment once I've been baptized with my SNOWFALL 16GB RAM, 512 storage version and have put it through the paces. Merry Christmas to ME hahaha, I don't often get overly excited about tech...I mean, sure...it's nice to get things, but strangely enough, with THIS one...I can't WAIT!!
I think I'm getting this over the OnePlus 12. Thank for the review.
Can you also use mouse and keyboard to play games?
Just ordered one can’t wait 😝
Hey dostum diyorlar cihaz çok ısınıyor pil testi nasıl bide kendine tuşlar çalışıyor doğrumu
At least one review of this phone which is not only about gaming. 😊👍
Does the phone throttling during benchmarks? When does battery test comes with this phone?
The design reminds me of Essential Phone, which looked great. But how is the in-hand feel when not playing?
very good in design and performance but does this series not have R1 L1 buttons?
Wow
This is awesome
First time so early too
Does the phone charge while using usb type C to HDMI? Or can you still activate bypass/sep charging while using HDMI?
Do you recommend that for pubg how big that like iPhone pro max
Please do a battery drain test for it 🙏
Thank you so much for actually giving camera shots and specs. Im trying to decide on a ROG phone or The Redmagic. But every other reviewer says the same thing about how average or bad the camera is and "you are buying this for gaming, not cameras" Bullcrap. I want a complete phone and want to see images. You are doing an amazing job!
Redmagic 9 pro or Asus rog phone 7?
if you want a "complete phone" then buy some of the leading brands` flagships and don`t go buying a gamer centric product thinking it will have the software and hardware finnese of devices costing double or triple the amount of money...
@@shitmirStill, which one is it?
@@Alex-ib7gh 9 pro more of a "complete phone" than ROG, but not most "complete phone" there is..
@@shitmir thanks😊
Nice phone, I would consider this phone if ZTE gave it atleast 3 years software and security support. For now I'll be waiting for someone to sell it 2nd hand.
i still have the ROG 5 ultimate...till this day the phone is an absolute beast
All you have to do is wait until December 27 for the early bird offer... and January 2-3 to order it. How long is it going to be until then.
How did you change the apps to look like google stock android?
I never got the appeal of mobile gaming but the phone looks cool i guess? They still have the industry low 2 year of OS support with one update?
Finally snapdragon reached apple latest series scores in geekbench in multi core now its fare performance tests this year 🤝😃
red magic 8spro vs red magic 9 pro battery drain please, nubia z60 ultra unboxing & reviews please
Is this device available in the us
Any chance they would become available in South Africa? On contract would be an even bigger bonus..
I really need to know it's battery time against the regular flagships 😂😂😭😭. Tech Nick please on your next battery test put in the red magic just for humor and context
Yup bro😂
I think it'll destroy all flagships with 3-5 hours lead😂
Dream beast ❤️🔥
Hey bro i have a question about the speakers❓ were you able to hear footsteps in cod ? Could you tell if they were coming from your left or right, back, front? I cant use headphones cuz of hearing problems, so far the only device that worked for me is the ipad pro but i dont like to game on ipads.
In terms of speakers... Sounds isn't good as rog phone 7 ....
But much better than my friends iphone...
I haven't tested in ipad ... So I can't say much about it...
I have been using rog phone serious for gaming for so long specially codm...
This year switch to red magic 9 pro coz I don't like rog phone 8 design....
And price...
For the price red magic 9 pro isn't bad .. took some time to get used to it but after one week in terms of gaming experience it's not bad..
..
Will it last 3 or 4 years ? Cuz idk nothing about red magic phones
This may be an outdated question, does this phone work on all US networks? I haven't bought a new phone since the ROG phone 2 and it doesn't work on the Verizon network.
Where do I buy it?
Hello Nick, love your videos from #Pakistan.
I want an honest answer Does the Red Magic connection to Wi-Fi is bad?
I heard many ppl say that the Red Magic connect to Wi-Fi is lacking.
If this is the case, do you know how to Fix this problem?
Completely perfect! , headphone jack good camera 1Tb mechanic radiator not too expensive like other flagships
The only negative point it gets the phone has no ip water protection u cant play games outdoors under rain with friends
why tf would someone be playing outdoors under the rain with anyone?!?!water resistant or not
😂👏👏👏
@@brayo2846places like my home state of Hawaii actually rain quite a lot especially with a title like "Paradise State" but in truth you simply run to the nearest store/convenience 🏪 shop like 7-11 and chill there until the rain 🌧️ finishes.
So yeah in truth it's not really a con. Just put the smartphone away until it's safe.
I think even people playing with Steam deck or Nintendo Switch doesn't playing with friends outside in rain lol..
No wireless charging. So not perfect
I can't find the magnifier settings from shooting games
How do I get it in India ... Why always this country has to miss out on great stuff
How do we activate the 50 mp setting?
Man they really need to get that selfie 🤳 camera game up. Then I'd buy it for sure. Because I owned the 7pro and used it for one year then I sold it because it sucks on social media
What exactly sucks on social media? I have it since launch (4.5 years) no problem.
It's a gaming phone.
Are you really testing that speaker only with Genshin impact sound ??. It very helpful test 😊
Does it have Volte?
Hope it will be available in india
Is it available in india
Please do a video of nubia z60 ultra
Waiting for Nubia Z60 ultra unboxing
But I'm disappointed for this device because is not available in India 😢
Love from India ❤❤❤
Why did smartphone manufactirers ditch the pop up selfie camera, its more secure and I havnt heard of any failure also from the previous phones that had them
totally agree! im using a spare phone poco f2 pro the last one who has a pop up selfie camera and i have no issues purchased it 2020.
Your voice is amazing 😍😍😍
Thanks!
I have this phone and the software and hardware are not optimised that greatly. A few apps running in the background can really drain the battery. This makes my old s22 battery seem like a boss. Honestly I hope the software update fixes these issues.
I've always owned phones from really big companies like Apple, Samsung, Huawei etc. so considering this phone is a bit of a gamble to me. It is either this or the S23 Ultra (possibly S24 Ultra when it comes out) but I'm really not sure which one I should buy. I love the design and the performance on this but maintenance from smaller brands (repair, even phone cases) seems like it would be an issue. What do you say about that?
For me the biggest selling point is the storage for the price.
512GB on a phone for only 800$ is huge. My current s22 ultra is maxed out on 128gb storage.
If I want an s23 with 512GB storage I need to pay 1300 dollars. 800 vs 1300. Plus the redmagic 9 has longer battery and triple the charging speed.
A cooler design is just a bonus.
Only concern I have is long term software support since people seem to criticize redmagic for this a lot on their phones
@@trevorveillette8415 the other problem is hardware support, with Samsung you will find repair centres everywhere and easy warranty replacement.
@@trevorveillette8415I agree with that. If you're still leaning towards the S23 Ultra I grabbed a 512GB one for $850 on Amazon refurbished no issues
With no budget to worry about, whats the best android to be bought right now?
Can you do red magic 9 pro vs Samsung s24 Ultra battery drain test ?
I don't really play games on my phone, but I do find these "gaming phones" to be the most interesting.
They deliver on the raw performance and are often top specs for less money than other flagships.
I don't care at all about the cameras for example, so having no camera bump and notch is a plus, but also giving me high specs, a hfr display, large battery, super fast charging, headphone jack etc is pretty much exactly what I want. The one thing I don't like (about most modern phones) is how large they are. I can't reach all of the screen when using it one handed without changing my grip on the phone, which is really annoying.
I'm also concerned about the longevity of the phone because of the openings for the fan.
And I'm gonna miss the mute slider from my OnePlus.
Just imagin it being a fold❤❤❤
Waiting for speed test comparison with iphone 15 pro max 🔥
Will this phone work is U.S carriers such as TMOBILE?
Absolutely
Look like a cool phone
Why didn't they just go with a pop-up selfie camera instead? Still gives you an all screen experience with no compromise in picture quality
it's a gaming phone and gamers don't care about camera, if you want better camera you going for different phone, they have set their goals and they following it, you could ask also why apple phones are not packed with heatsink while they advertise their phones as a gaming, I never will understand people like you, the costs would be increased for pop up camer, plus for streaming you couldn't use it at all, use a brain
You're totally right. Many people like me almost never game on their phones, and bought it mostly for the one-of-a-kind display and the headphone jack.
It's really a pity that they can incorporate that technology on this phone, but don't want to, and we're left with below average selfie camera.
If Nubia launches another Red Magic line with the same features without the gaming gimmicks, but centered around camera performance I'd buy it.
The design of this phone is gorgeous tho, the black version is so sleek 🔥🔥
@@vhyles then clearly this product is not for you. its a gaming phone for a reason and has a target audience who wouldnt care about cameras but care about 'gaming gimmicks' their is a vast array of phones out their that will suit your needs but definately not this
My problem with the 8 pro is it was slippery AF, and adding a case to it makes it heavy, i dont know abour the 9 pro
I still enjoy my Red Magic 7S Pro (Mercury) love the back plate almost space ship/race car design.
I skipped all the 8 series but this looks tempting.
Is there any real world use benefits VS my 7S Pro in particular?
Why not put a tiny screen on the back like the Xaomi MI 11 Ultra ?
It's such a simple solution.
Use selfie cam only for video calls.
FINALLY 🎉
never been so early !

I can't wait for the battery drain test of the red magic 9 pro honor magic 6 pro xiaomi 14 pro one plus 12 s24 ultra and iPhone 15 pro max
nice
Why don't they use pop up selfie camera like Honor 9x
Idk why the camera matters. We are here for the gaming!!!! 🙏
I had the red magic 6 pro and now the 8 pro currently. Biggest downside from the 6 was the screen and continues to be a downside is camera's. Obviously we not buying this phone to take pics. Go get a OnePlus or Samsung if you wanna take pics. The software support is lacking and yes wish Red Magic would get that fix in the feature. looking pass that, this is a killers deal of a phone. I love when you can play games at max settings for hours and the screen doesn't dim or slow down one bit. And no thermal throttling even in Florida weather 😅.
Must have received a faulty unit, it burns my hands after 4 games! Returning it and it will cost me $200.00 CAD !!!
the only con is the OS and its long term support
I don't think that it was available in 16gb ram like you've mentioned in the description. Only plus varient is available in 16 and more.
Nope. On the official website, there are 16/512 variants with 2 different colors than the 12gb one.
Assassins Creed, Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4, Death Stranding and other AAA only on iPhone 15 pro 😢
idk man the phone or maybe the chipset have a severe heating issue its going 53-56° celcius.. and it already have a built in fan.. sd 8gen 3 is still a test chipset.. i would recommend to just wait for upcoming chipset probably sd 8+ gen 3 in future cause the heating issue might be fix
