My Father did manual labor and my uncle owned a farm. When I was young they always told me never work without long sleeves and long trousers. This was to protect yourself from injury and the sun. They said when it's hot you sweat the breeze will blow through your clothes and cool you down. Also it keeps you from injury like what happened to your father.

Watching all the way from Arunachal pradesh,India and seeing the bamboo rice reminds me of my mother's people who migrated from Burma-Thai border centuries ago. They share cultural similarities with the Thai and I'm not surprised that the bamboo rice is also called Khao lam here😅.

@@ajtom4987 yes the water festival is called sangken here which is songkran in Thailand. There are many similar origin of words as they belong to the same Tai family of origin. For example two is called Song ,three as saam and ten as siip. Mother is called maaey son as lukchay ,potato as mankla etc😅 . The Tai people here are known as Tai khampti people.

Yep I bid some like that , except there were bee hive and some mean Lizards ,i was very lucky, cut get infected fast and ezzy, in tropical weather, but look like he had a good time. We put mons old Coconut grinder stool in the 🏠 as Decoration , just as a reminder of mon hard work , look like dad keeping bessey , hope he visits often
The heat your dad experiences is why I live by the water. I prefer fresh water so rivers and lakes for me. It's amazing how a quick dip changes everything.
Perfect episode: learning how to cook old Thai-style coconut rice and then seeing the wonders of Phanom Rung Historical Park. I'm sure your dad had a wonderful day. He seems to get on very well with Otis.

The sweet spongy white mass ball inside the coconut is the coconut apple , it's the cotyledon of germinated coconut .
I often come out of the bamboo looking like that. There is a species that grows near the river I swear it's where the idea of barbed wire came from. Very sharp and very strong. Long lasting bamboo for building without needing as much treatment.

สวัสดีครับ F.C Pattaya คิดถึงสมัยก่อนตอนเป็นนักศึกษา ว.ช่างศิลป์ กรมศิลปากร ผมก็เคยไปนอนบนปราวาทเขาพนมรุ้ง ตอนกลางคืนน่ากลัวมาก เพราะปราสาทดูขลังและน่ากลัวมากตอนกลางคืนครับเคยไปพักแรมและวาดรูปที่ปราสาทพนมรุ้ง 1อาทิตย์ครับ
ขลังมากๆค่ะ ตอนเด็กเคยเดินป่าขึ้นเขา ไปโผล่ยอดปราสาทเลย ถ้าได้มาชมงานขึ้นเขาปราสาทพนมรุ้งด้วย ขนลุกตั้งแต่เริ่มงานจนจบเลยค่ะ จะมีช่วง มีนา เมษา ค่ะ

Oh my God what a nice training by Damo with her mom's information while you're training by using your hand strength by cutting the trees and preparing the sticky rice by who does she do it. That's a great talent by letting me see how his talents are with some hilarious actions too.

ไม้สำหรับทำข้าวหลามแถวบ้านผมจะเนื้อบาง ปล้องยาว ลำต้นไม่ได้เป็นทรงพุ่มแบบนี้ ต้นเขาจะตรงโล่งสูง ตัดง่าย ชื่อของมันแถวบ้านจะเรียกไม้ข้าวหลาม เวลาเผาจะสุกเร็วให้ความหอมของไม้ แต่ไม้ไผ่ตามคลิปแถวบ้านจะเอาไว้ทำรั้วหรือกระท่อม ครับ
คนในพื้นที่จะใช้ไม้ไผ่แบบนี้แต่เลือกแบบอ่อนหน่อย สงสัยต้องหามาปลูกบ้างแล้ว ที่บ้านทำข้าวหลามบ่อยมากเลยค่ะ
