Nice plane. Looks a lot like an Alien Aircraft Pinwheel that I built recently. Whenever I buy a used plane the first thing I do is clean the tank and check the plumbing and pressure check. Then I always tune a little rich until I see what the engine will tolerate.
You can tell it was way too lean. You dont open it up till it clears up you open it till it clears up then keep going till it starts to four stroke. Then you lean it back to the clean spot and turn it rich 1/4 turn more and its set.
Get a tachometer. It's the best way to know your engine is tuned correctly. At the beginning of the video you gave the impression that engine tuning is a one time thing. Nope, it's an every flight thing. Peak the rpm, back off about 300, you're good. It will save engines and airplanes,
I agree. Run slightly rich on the ground and she'll lean out in the air- and do that with a tach... an indispensable tool. Another thing you might want to do when one purchases a used plane no matter how good it looks, is to cycle the batteries. Make sure they're going to stand up to the grind. Check voltages after and before each subsequent flight- at least for the first couple of times you take it out. That should give you a pretty good idea of the condition of the batteries. Good luck, beautiful airplane.

She flies amazing now. Thank you
I never clean a tank. I simply replace it.
They're cheap.
i loved mine, i hope it comes back
I've always been a fan of Supersportsters.
Never stand in line or forward of the prop.

thank you.
@@flyrightrc i have several of these including a brand new set of wings if you need anything.
Thank you very much.
Loved the bipe version, but learned bipes shouldn't be your 2nd plane
Lol, maybe not.

I surly didn't mean to give that impression. Tuning is a constant.
