    This was a good tutorial. I'm surprised about the lack of information for some of the more common revit commands (and how to apply them effectively).

    Thnks for this tutorial,i really use alot of inplace comp in my projects, but using wall category was something new to me, i would love to see more tutorial abt inplace comp.
    Which is better: inplace component or inplace mass

    Thank you very much very helpful, when creating a model in place is there a way to move it up and down when looking at it in an elevation or section, can’t seem to be able to move it vertically sad😢

    How was the drainage done on that roof? Was it something other than applying negative slopes to the perimeter lines?

    Do I have to repeat the same steps from scratch to create another 'model in place' component or the 'flower' can be reused/copied?

    Hello, so I can place a component but it won't let me change the component to be any other type of model. How can I fix this? Is there something I needed to download to allow me to change the model?

    With a large site development where the topo is all different levels and you have buildings plotted all over on different levels and floor heights, how do you create your levels? Can you create each building as a separate component or family and just add it in as a whole or you just model everything in one and have a million levels set up for each floor heights? thanks

      Sorry for digging this out but I'm having the same problem and can't seem to find solution. Did you manage to fix that?

      @@Aj0nJon You must select the model then click on edit in-place then click on the object that is part of the generic model / model in-place and you will find material and finishes in properties on your left
