I now get why they nerfed a lot of chapter 2. I didn't realize the skill gap range between a lot of the community until i saw how much new people struggled on the new bosses. As for me, i've been grinding this game for a while and know about everything so when i played the update i thought it was a bit too easy not realizing how hard it was for others. Thankfully the devs added challenge cards to help more experienced players get the experience they want.
Why did I type so much- Well since I'm here I'll just give my own piece of advice for new players and players who wanna get good. There are three distinct attacks patterns: Projectile, Approach, and Contact. Projectile attacks have you click dodge when they're coming towards you Approach attacks are similar but wait till they nearly hit you to click dodge And Contact is when they hit you you have to hit the dodge button. Hope this helps y'all

Yea, there huge amount of people struggling. There like around 1-3 struggling people per server. I helped with hatred like 20+ people that couldn't beat him at all, while i beated him on first try, with shows very well how big difference in skill between players

Here’s a tip for dodging Hatred. If he’s shooting balls of hatred, dodge when you hear a exploding sound. If you feel a sense of doom, dodge when you see him slam down.

I summoned cruel king to help me, and ngl I struggled in my first fight cuz I didn’t know about his big explosion. After that he died immediately once I found more about his attack patterns, he was nothing to me. Good job though you did good.
Hi hi!! Heres some tips on fighting him in the future All of the new mindscape bosses attacks work a bit differently then normal enemies, in order to dodge/supergaurd their attacks you have to block when their attacks are coming at you not when its about to hit you. This means for hatreds triple attack you’d want to block when its about halfway to you. Same goes for his lightning attack, but I recommend waiting for a lightning sound effect and then blocking immediately when you hear it. That’s about it, personally I like these new bosses attacks and how your meant to guard them, it never fully made sense to me how your character would reasonably react to an attack thats literally milliseconds away from hitting them so dodging instead when their coming at you instead of right before hitting you feels more natural.
This is gonna sound kinda stupid but my first playthrough on hatred I kind just forgot about the ability to use items. Also you can use prayer to instantly kill hatred when it’s at 20 or less hp :>
lol yeah the main reason it took me that long was because i have a skill issue i put training wheels on after the first hour but they BARELY helped me due to my poor reaction time
Tips for the boss for rematching (might be a badge in the future) Simply get Cruel King summon Maybe switch stats? (I used a BP all deck and spammed some sp but thats due to knowing when to dodge) Visuals and Sound Cues are your best friend (training wheels are good for getting used to the timing) Weirdly, I used a strat with bopping my head to his movement and pressed spacebar before the 3rd bopp (idk if that works for everybody) Get randoms to help/cheese (solo is strong, but a good team combo can carry) For his Grand 60hp attack on ONLY SOLO PLAYS, usually attack or focus 1st since you get 2 turns before hatred attacks you then use the ghost potion second turn Also recommend getting more bux to get more unique cards to assist you like Lucky! Or Defense+ since they can really help early game
For those struggling with parries use training wheels to know when to click then try to do it without training wheels so you know when to click with muscle memory
You should get "Call: Cruel King", he takes up 4 bp and uses 9sp to summon, but hes a really good summon to use. 30 hp, a melee move that deals 5 dmg and a Ranged AOE move that does 5 dmg and freezes the enemy one turn. He can be obtained by interacting at the "Guru" in his home at the airport ( left-most side ), then you gotta beat him 5 times in order to obtain his calling card
Defo the hardest boss to understand Kinda guaranteed to lose the first fight (especially on hard mode) either to the dizzy effect, lightning or completely forgetting about the ghost potion for the charge up attack
i died because i had thrill seeker on, my fren carried me, after i disabled it and rematched it in nirvana i won, only heal i used was strawberri icecream
I was pretty confused on the nerfs, but I can see most of my friends weren't at my skill level and can now understand the nerfs, cruel king and hatred were the only bosses that I needed to retry a few times when I was playing solo beat demo 1 and 2 for the first time. I died more to cruel king tho like 6 times, hatred was 4.
when it comes to hatred IF you are lucky enough to have cruel king ally carry you even when you are trash at dodging cruel king will lower it to 2 hp making it enough to use the dynamite and thats how i did the downside is you will be at 1 hp due to SHITLOADS OF ghost potion spam but hey you atleast proved yourself you ARE the indomitable human spirit

Don't worry. Even though I prepared for the boss fight, I spent hours trying to beat it for the first time. It truly is a difficult boss compared to chapter 2's boss
Honestly the most surprising part is that i, a player with 10 HP (because i'm a no-life tryhard) beat this boss first try and failing like 90% of the dodges. I face-tanked... Without HP. *I'M HIM!!!!*
Actually, I know it's cringe to comment twice on one video, but I wanna like, give you some cool tips because I think it'd be helpful. 1. Make sure you have one build, so you don't waste BP on cards that are "meh". For example: I usually either use a Healer Build, or a Knight Build. 2. RPG sucks against single bosses now because the developers hate fun. 3. Try multiplayer, typically duos or squads since trios suck due to the damage output you have compared to the bosses's HP being...ahem... *Not Optimal* 4. Try Training Wheels to learn where the dodge window is, then take it off for your actual attempt. 5. If all else fails...just summon Red n' Blue and pray the enemy attacks them instead of you...(aka, use two children as meatshields lmao)
I just power stabbed him 9 times to death. Just equip knight, safe guard, +defense and power stab That's if you can dodge or block so i don't really recommend you to try this.

Nah, I’ve used healing items in the overworld before. It’s only specific ones that get discarded. Mainly the ones that damage you instead of healing.
