Still my favourite species of alien. As disappointing as the sequel was, I still thought it was an incredible concept. I loved the design of the Queen, loved the massive futuristic but modern cities, the reverse engineered weapons and technology, the ships, ESD Earth Space Defence. All amazing concepts and ideas. The soundtrack was also really good. One that should be redeemed in some form. Independence Day 1 will always be the best though. A good blockbuster popcorn flick.
I'm one of many brilliant human beings that actually love this scene, why? I'm trying to figure it out, but i think we who do have some special gift. This scene is epic... I love it.... You who watch this have been looking for it, congratz, you are just like me, a sucker for epic scenes on movies that NOBODY ever talks about.
Now, this is funny for me because I was doing a DND like roleplay with my friend and his sister. Their characters are human girls in it. Meanwhile, my character is the only male (nothing too lewd, I swear). So there's a race called 'Driders' which are pretty much tauristic arachnid people, and they have caves. My character being part werewolf, he gets stuck in a Drider web from a pitfall and gets pissed of, going werewolf and breaking free once he does, but only to be forced against a cave wall by the Drider (who is, of course, a female :/). Apparently 'strong and hairy' is pretty much royalty in Drider culture. She asks if she can pet him and he tries to bargain his way out of it, only to fail and be cuddled as he's stuck against the wall, absolutely fuming with rage at this point (though the cuddling calms him >Facepalm

There are plenty of clips with the longer scene that you can find with a simple search. This clip caters to those who are simply searching for the :30-second version.
