I've been watching all cover for this song but none of them can sing perfectly like this guy did. Holy fucking hell he deserved much more crowds than that.
You might take a look at their appearance -- with John Hinch on the drums and Rob with long hair, wearing his sister's robe -- on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1975. They performed it and "Rocka Rolla", and both are here on UA-cam on the Judas Priest channel.
They are Call for the Priest. Yesterday, I was possessed to find this video and then the name of the band. It looks like they do concerts in New York, but I'd love to see them play at a venue near me.
Just discovered this Judas Priest song like three days ago when going through their 70’s records and you guys really did this song some serious justice. Truly excellent job. You hit the sonic sound.
This is actually became one of, if not my new favorite song from the very first time I heard it. “It’s said in the cosmos is a single sonic sound that is vibrating constantly... ...and if we can grip and hold on to the note, we will see our minds are free” ...Into the harmonies and vocal/guitar solos that ensue. This is what music is about for me.
Excellent all the way around. This guy nailed Halford. Not many people could duplicate this song. Absolute vocal cord shredder but he did awesome. I tip my cap to them.
The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. He’s comfortable singing in that range just like Halford. He still has his power singing in that register truly amazing!🤘
Es una mejor versión en vivo, con una mucho mejor entonación y apegada a la grabación original. En la versión en vivo de J. P. en la "BBC Perfomance", se escucha a Halford desafinado en algunas notas altas. Congratulations to this amazing singer!
This sound exactly like the studio version from 1975. The singer is amazing! Saw the video on the play list and was blown away. Hope they come to the Hudson Valley some day.
Standing by my window, breathing summer breeze Saw a figure floating, 'neath the willow tree Asked us if we were happy, we said we didn't know Took us by the hands and up we go We followed the dreamer through the purple hazy clouds He could control our sense of time We thought we were lost but no matter how we tried Everyone was in peace of mind We felt the sensations drift inside our frames Finding complete contentment there And all the tensions that hurt us in the past Just seemed to vanish in thin air He said in the cosmos is a single sonic sound That is vibrating constantly And if we could grip and hold on to the note We would see our minds were free, oh they're free Ah, we are lost above Floating way up high If you think you can find a way You can surely try
Hi Christina, it's an awesome video n I'am really impressed with the vocalist. He sounds so much like Rob Halford during his younger days. What's his name by the way? Is he an American?
Once he said "this song is from sad wings of destiny," I expected the crowd to have a better reaction...or just...almost any reaction at all. Not silence. You would think the priest fans would be present for this amazing performance.
It's sad that this international super vocalist is stuck in this bar band. the things he could've done with his career had be been prominent in the 70s or 80s!
Tough break guys, Yall deserve a thousand people in that crowd! This is a God Tier song to cover on vocals and you did a pretty good job. Vox: 9.5/10 Guitar: 8.5/10 Rhythm section: 7/10 Gotta admit the band kinda dragged a little during the first few minutes and that didnt help the singer at all, But all of you absolutely killed during the Deceiver portion! I wish this singer could have replaced Rob in the 90s instead of Shitter Owens.
please for the love of god.get the guitar players to practice more than once a year.they need to get their chops up to speed. this could be the worlds premier judas tribute with this singer
See, this is why my faith in Rob Halford voice sometimes is not so strong. I have been a priest fan since 1977. I have heard Halford sing dreamer deceiver one time and that was at the whiskey which is now available on UA-cam. He hit one high note and all the rest he hit the lower registers. Why? Why could he only do that phenomenal work in the studio when this guy right here live on stage did every bit of what Halford it did in the studio? I just don't get it.
@@Rinceify -- I agree. Even his onstage persona changed after he returned. No longer does he carouse and joke with the audience, nor even meet their eyes. He wanders around onstage like he's looking for a contact lens, bent over like an old man and almost hitting notes he hit in his prime with ease. Fuck old age.
also, judas priest live from 1980 to 1990 was fucking unrivaled.they were always better, faster, tighter live............best live band ON EARTH from painkiller backwards
At 6:26, Fake Rob (incredible singer) doesn't sound like Rob for a moment but like another singer from the late 70's or 80's. I hear this particularly when he says "surround me." I can't quite place it. Can anyone help me out here? It's driving me nuts.
Omg!!! One of the best tribute band show that i’ve seen, amazing guitars and super amazing voice, who knows what is the facebook, twitter or instagram of the band?? Cheers from mexico
this fake priest sounds really good, terrific voice man lml
All Good.

Vocalist is pretty damn good! I can't believe he got those high ones...nice! and refreshing
Great job man. Currently working on my own version of Dreamer Deceiver. Your live version is so good. Completely inspiring!
Nunca imaginé encontrar a alguien que imite a la perfección a Rob haldford eres increíble no cualquiera alcanzaría esas notas!!! Y de esa manera
Simplemente espectacular
Please stay together. When Priest can’t tour anymore you need to keep Defending the Faith!
Musicians keep the faith, not mockeries.
@@miloesalazarI mean......they performed this live version better than priest did on TV (even with the shit guitars)

What about Tim "Ripper" Owens?
The most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. He’s comfortable singing in that range just like Halford. He still has his power singing in that register truly amazing!🤘
This is nuts......I can't get over this guys range. For us old dudes, this is what brought us to Priest. Way to cool....
Vocals are incredible! Can't say much for the guitarists. The singer should be singing for a much better JP tribute band than this one.
Agree 👍
i agree
Like the one on tour now!
Vocal equipment can make any octave .
The Guitarists are on ok on the riffs just with their own style .
Nailed it man, really to even say this.....its huge, great voice
Amazing. The very essence of Priest captured perfectly.

Pretty much nailed the falsetto bit before the solo, well done!
I'm so glad I came upon this! Absolutely Fantastic.one of my favorite Priest tunes.Wow.I. hope I will see you live.Thank You

I never thought that anyone else than Rob could sing this !!! Awesome perfomance !!!
Nice cover bro. Regards from Sao Paulo Brazil
wooooooooow!!!!! holy shiiiiit!!!!! this is such an amazing cover!!! Greetings from Chile!!!
Man... Singing this song, live, you’re better than Halford (the only reference I have is an old video, from the “BBC Performance”)!
I totally agree . The live footage of priest doing this on BBC he’s off key with the high notes unlike this fella
