too bad I fell for a different video that had very good reviews for it. Even when it's on "camera" and plugged into my g7x mark iii, I hear exactly as much white noise as I hear from my passive mic (rode videomicro). any suggestions about a better mic?
Mine sounds the same. I received it yesterday and hopped that I was doing something wrong. Unfortunatelly I wasn',t. It is loud and has long cable but the noise is to much.
I'm not tech savy. I bought this on a recommendation from a UA-camr and it had great reviews on amazon. I can't for the life of me to figure out how to set it up or if it's just not working. It is not user friendly and I hate that it doesn't have a light to tell you it's on.

Agree! Try changing the battery? There is another Mic I recoemend I have a video about that requires no battery.
