The 4-way stop is actually a preemption. And this preemption is the actually cause of the traffic signals to flash red. This is so weird and that is why Captain Chris says always lights will into hard flash in Kyle Miller's hard flash video. He thinks that because he lives here. This is also in UEDiver's video of backyard light.
It’s weird how some traffic lights flash red for crossings and some just stay solid red on the intersection of the tracks and the side roads stay green until train is gone
I think all railroad crossings at busy stoplight intersections should be with sidewalk pillow lifting and lowering gates to stop pedestrians from trying to cross the track.
That crossing has an old signal, in which UP did not change the sequence at it, as that sequence was originally set by the old owners of the signal, SP. Most modern signals' lights are set to flash the entire time.
At that crossing, the close gate is intentionally set to sag like that. The reason why is because of the overhead power lines. If the gate went all the way up, it would get trapped on the power lines
Great video+crossings, I still miss that WCH M-Bell at Stockton Blvd and 34th street 😢 and at 11:25 to 11:28 dude runs around crossing gate Idk why people are just dumb enough to do that cause if you are then… BAM! ur dead and train obliterates ur car
Funny how a after you commented this, I caught that caboose. Its very rare to see then though so it'll be a long while before I'm able to catch another. The main video of the caboose short video should be published within a month and a half from now.
Those clear leds are neat I’ll have track Down some for my crossing build
YES, I've been waiting for this for so long

Great video man, cool to see all of these interesting crossings!

13:30 how come these lights shut off when the gate ascends, but the other’s stay lit until the gate completes rising?

Also, the other signal is a newer, modern signal, so it's lights will flash the entire activation.
A busy intersection with a crossing near me is set to go from green immediately to flashing red like 30 seconds before the crossing activates.
I believe those were the old designs
Very nice indeed 👍
Awesome
Nice!
Great! The signals can flash red when the train is coming
a traffic light went out! (the green light!) 5:11 and looks like that crossing is malfunctioning 13:30
14:58 How come the closest gate isn’t fully up, is it broke or smth?

Tbh, there should be median signals there instead so that they wouldn't have to use such long gates.

Pillow sidewalk gates for a crossing like this is a good idea to prevent pedestrians crossing and getting hit
7:51 are you being hit by a tornado it is so loud
Great video. Cool railroad crossings. Do you video freight trains with a caboose at the end?

Cool fliming
Also, why do the construction signals also flash red? Aren’t they supposed to discontinue that?
Yes I like it
