You are like an inside agent man...you're getting us all of the info from the inside of POD sites for free and it's not like other youtubers. You reveal precise and much more info, other youtubers don't reveal so much like it's an unspoken POD youtube rule 😂 I mean I gerrit it's cuz they don't want their work copied but still you're managing to show us more without that(and I'm not talking just about this video). A big thank you to you sir and I hope you achieve everything you plan to. 🤟
@@DetourShirts yo i just stumbled upon something on redbubble by randomly searching a niche, people are making a 100 plus words long tag how is that allowed? I mean it's not 100 separate tags cuz 50 is the limit so i guess this is either a smart workaround(that will screw up all niches eventualy) or it's not allowed but they still do it, if not is there a way we can report things?
Subscribed!! I have watched several of your videos and I have to say I love you (strictly platonic lol). I am an avid UA-cam student on many things but recently started designing tshirts and came across some of your vids. What sets you apart from many is the way you speak to viewers. You speak slow enough that we can understand what you are teaching. You speak to us, not down to us and the main objective is to help others while you are instructing. Clear and precise! Thank you so much for your videos and you have helped me to grow with my designs! 💙
Wow... what a nice comment... thank you... I'm so glad I could help with your t-shirt designs... let me know if there is something specific you want to learn
I've had so many people in my group asking how to do this in AD. Def not as easy as using lattice deformation in Inkscape BUT I'll take it. You just earned a new subscriber my friend. Thanks!
Very cool tutorial. I got a book of old music posters with LOTS of amazing examples of fun groovy curved fonts. This tutorial helps me understand how to actually APPLY these cool ideas to t-shirt designs. Thank you so much!
Thanks, Juna. Wow. That was challenging! Mainly because I'm fairly new to the pen tool. I quit halfway through and tried to do the same effect in Kittl, but I don't think you can do quite the same level of wavy effect. So I went back to AF and persevered. It turned out really nice :-).
Hey Juno, is this Affinity Designer 2? Maybe you could show us more designs with Affinity V2 also I'm using Windows what would the options key be "Ctrl" ? Thanks!
question how do i get the red and green lines when yer trying to line up the text so its all aligned? i know i can use the align button but i want those red and green lines too. i hope you understand this.
The size of the artboard is 4500x5400.... the size of my document was pretty big since I had multiple artboards.... but since it was just shapes and colors it's not too bad.
@juno when I convert my text curves it doesn't give the small round nodes like yours, it gives me square and big round nodes so when I try to shape the text to the lines it bends the whole letter out of shape. How do I get the small little smooth nodes that you have?
It's possible that you didn't ungroup them or you are using a different font? You could also try double clicking on it... sometimes you just need to click it again.
Juna, does the texture layer have to be vector? I tried and tried with a png texture layer and couldn't get it to work. I tried a different one which happened to be vector (.eps) and no problem.

This is still one... working on Affinity 2 soon
great video, i do not have affinity designer, can it be uploaded to Canva?
Yes you can if you have the Pro version
Nive tutorial. Work affinity photo thr same like designer?
It should.... I haven't tried it though
question how do i get the red and green lines when yer trying to line up the text so its all aligned? i know i can use the align button but i want those red and green lines too. i hope you understand this.
You could drag guides from the ruler
What mouse do you use? I currently have the trackpad on my Mac, and I'm thinking I need something muchhhhhhh better.
Great question... I love my mouse... It is a Logitech MX Master 3S
How do you hold down option, and move the text, lost at that point. Thanks
Hold down the option key..... while holding it down click on the word or thing you want to copy..... hold down the click and drag
I was actually just working on this 70’s retro designs today…
Perfect timing
Hi Juno what was the size of this document? Thanks for a great tut!

@@DetourShirts I used the same font and did ungroup. It just gives these huge nodes bending everything out of shape, even tried double clicking.😫
Is it possible to use these fonts on canva?
Yes... you can upload your own font in canva
@@DetourShirts can u make a video on this please
Can you do this in Canva? I dont have affinity designer
Sorry... You can't curve text like this in Canva but you can do other things and they have a lot of 70s retro graphics
Juna, does the texture layer have to be vector? I tried and tried with a png texture layer and couldn't get it to work. I tried a different one which happened to be vector (.eps) and no problem.
The way I showed in this video the texture has to be a vector.
@@DetourShirts Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it.
hmm...how do can I do this in canva ?
You can't do this exact design on Canva.... Canva has no way of warping text like this
@@DetourShirts :(
what is this design called?
Vintage wavy text?
Very cool. I can't even come close to compete with you 😂 I believe your experience is above average.
Thanks
Juna 😊
Thanks
Maybe just use warp effect 😊👍
Does Affinity have a warp effect?
@@DetourShirts I was assuming they do? I'm on Illustrator. Sorry if they don't. Surprising
This is actually easier and faster to do in Affinity photo with the mess tool
Ohhhh... I need to try that... thanks for the tip
How much does Redbbuble pay you ?
A month? Like between $200-$300

Well the more you do it maybe.... sorry it's not more simple
