Still can’t believe in the best year for movies ever in 1994, we lost one of the most brilliant nicest guy on the earth and a great actor Rip John candy
This was filmed at Ft. Knox. I did my basic training there, a few years after this came out. Ran the same obstacle courses and trained where this was filmed. Always beings back many memories! Love it!
True, Harold Ramis cracked me up with his exaggerated facial expressions of surprise, agreement, etc. as he listened to Dewey's story. "Hahaha -- PIZZAS!"
My hobbies are fast cars and fast women. 'Cause that's why guys in my car club call me "The Cruiser." I love this movie, so many quotable moments its amazing
@PreviewDude52797 Yes, sad but true. If I'm not mistaken, John Candy died during the filming of "Wagons East". I'll bet they had to use his stunt double for the rest of the film. The phrase "This film is dedicated to John Candy" was tacked on to the end credits of "Wagons East".
Nice one... Lookin for a clip of John Candy's facial expression when Bill Murray asks the question about who cried when old yeller died in the movie Stripes. Anybody
@PreviewDude52797 Personally, I thought "Wagons East" was worth watching. I was fascinated by its promo line: "They came. They saw. They changed their minds". :-)
The "What do you got here ... a six to eight week training program?...Which is perfect for me!" line reminds me of the female real estate agent ( involved in the Jan 6 ...hmm... gathering) sentenced to 2 months in prison bragging that she can lose 30 pounds in the 8 weeks she spends there
John Candy. RIP. You were one of the Best Things to ever come out of Canada.

He improvised the line "My friends call me Ox". When he died Eugene Levy said that John was as strong as an ox"

@moco635 Yes, indeed it was. It's a damn shame Warren Oates died young -- he was only 53 when he died suddenly of a heart attack on April 3,1982. :-(
The greatest actor of all time.
R.I.P JOHN CANDY !!!!!!

I swallowed a lot of agression, along with a lot of pizzas
Ha ha ha pizzas
Too bad the Sarge wasn't played by R. Lee Ermey. Warren Oates was pretty good though. He died shortly after making this movie.
I love this
And you got what, a 6 to 8 week training program here lol
That's perfect for me! Gotta miss John Candy.
lighten up Francis
Love.
$400 back in the early 80s would be $1,200 today, christ that's a lot to join some stress relief/anger management group.
Join the Army it's free!
I Made It Mistake John Candy Not Dead No Heaven Just Safe.
Sergeant Hulka deserves a medal for putting up with these reprobates.😂
was that bill murray? where is dan aykroyd and the other dudes
@Dmasterman Oh yes man...
Why all the best actors are dead? for example: John Candy, Chris Farley and Joe Viterelli.
@PreviewDude52797 Personally, I thought "Wagons East" was worth watching. I was fascinated by its promo line: "They came. They saw. They changed their minds". :-)
I wonder if he was like that in real life, was he really acting or just being the big loveable guy that he was anyway
what's the name of the movie this is from?
The movie's called, "Stripes."
stripes.
I own it on DVD
We can agree Candy is an American staple. But he is in fact Canadian. Lol.
@EnergyDog23 dont forget jim varney!
Hey Vern!
HAHA PIZZAS
It's better than paying $400.00 for an aggression program like EST.
Lee Harvey!
Farley?
jarhead fertilizer
yeah we lost a great funny man.
This where I got the term lean, mean something machine from. 👍🏻 if you agree with me humorously.
😘
