I remember watching this jaw-dropping performance live and being absolutely floored. I had never even heard of her before that. And as a music nut, its not often that I have that immediate knee-jerk reaction to a performer/performance. The fact that probably 90% of the country have never even heard of Regina Spektor whilst Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Cardi B, etc. dominate charts/popularity tells someone everything they need to know about the state of music/artistry. Regina is every bit the spiritual successor to brilliant female artists like Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Carly Simon, etc.
