lonely press play really takes me back to when i heard that expressive creative sound when i was like 10 that really got my mind going and i cant thank damon enough for that. this solo stuff is like some of that old gorillaz stuff but without the air of 'taking the piss out of pop music' which obviously came across as a bit depressive and the sound was often really melancholy... as the years went on it got a bit more pop but you could still hear the creativity that shone through all of it and has kept my interest peaked since.
not that i realised at the time. listening back theres so much of the songs i missed even though i could identify something was really .. out there about this expression and that was inspiring for my true character
I don't know who the guy interviewing Damon is, but he's really boring to listen to. If he's a really important person or something, ok, but his personality is boring in this context. They should have put someone else to interview him.
the Blur guys are so boring , except in Live Forever, where Damon is interviewed extensively, but in that case they are basically taking the piss out of him, and its fun to watch.
I know it is an old comment, but what the hell? They are the most hilarious band members i have ever seen.. i cant get enough of them! cx.. And second, what a miserable person he was to say something like that about Damon...
Damon Albarn is a wonderful musician/singer who has stood the test of time. One of the most overlooked genius in recent history.
pkitty2219 As Americas biggest Oasis fan I would have to actually agree with that..
It's nice to watch Damon being comfortable in his own skin. I know he wasn't throughout much of blur.
I love 8:09 to 8:26
It's so relatable. I love Damon Albarn
He aged well
he really takes care of himself
***** he quit that a long time ago. he doesnt do drugs anymore except maybe weed on occasion
+Mis Kay So you say weed are not drugs?
HosteAtlasNewWinner do you not know how to read

I admire him, and I love him.

So that “working with you GUYS” is a Damon Albarn thing
Great stuff. Really insightful, I wish more interviews were done in a conversational style.
10:52
Damon: I mean that was- that's the way it worked... *laughs* back then.
Richard: Yeah... And now look at you.
Damon: .....................?
Damon was like: "it's all the same, mate"
Damon's shirt is weirdly loud when he moves
No it's just the microphone on his shirt. It's clipped on. It's used to catch the voice better. Lol. :-)
no, it one of those "crunchy" shirts made by jw anderson. it supposed to be very loud when you wear it
Still insanely handsome
Still a creative workforce
Those are my goals ❤️
That ending.
"And now look at you."
"... wot?"
I loved Damon's pink socks
It's become one of my all-time favorite albums.
9:58 conversation about how damon felt as a budding musician after the first album is quite insightful
So glad Damon kept that line in The Selfish Giant. That one hit home
"Selfish Giant" was my favorite track from the album. So glad they kept it.
I have one of the organs in the background there, cool.
You go through videos that feature Damon Albarn and take note of the Like/Dislike ratio, it's like almost flawless every time.
Is Damon mocking the American accent at 1:29? I'm not a native English speaker so I can't really tell hrjfnf
He’s imitating it there, yes
Jen White okay thanks
damooon i love u what
I'm soooo gonna buy this album!
10:50 to 10:59 is way too funny... Come on..
damon te amo
2:21 made me chuckle
Richard Russell's music style reminds me of Ta-ku's music style a bit
Does anybody know what company makes the shirt that Damon is wearing?
Please, what does Russell say just before Damon answers : "Ok, I didn't see that coming" ?
Thanx guys ; )
He wants to talk about this amazing band called The Traveling Wilburys :)
