When you said you cut out 200 stickers in one weekend I knew I had to subscribe! Your a true MVP!
Ahhh, thank you so much for saying that ME ME!! My wrist is still recovering from that weekend lol!
im tired of spending money on stickers for my tumblers now i can make my own! cant wait to try!!!
I’m so glad my video could help! Have fun with your stickers! 😄👍
I also recently started making stickers for a small business and this is the video I’ve been looking for. The video w laminating, comparison of sticker qualities + the supplies list is sooooo helpful THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 💕
I'm SO happy to hear this Yeji! Thanks for taking the time to watch and for letting me know it helped!
Thank you so much for this video. I had checked probably hundreds of online stores searching for cheaper way to make great quality stickers and this is such an easy way to make a great product. You have inspired me! Thank you!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
Awww I’m so happy to hear that!! Glad this video was useful to you! 🥰💖🥰💖
I know I’m a little late but thank you so much for this very detailed tutorial!! I am starting a small business and I have a budget so I didn’t have enough money to purchase vinyl stickers for packaging but I saw this video and im saved!! Thank you so much 💗💗💗
I’m so glad it helped! Thanks for watching! 💖💖💖
I really like your explanation it's super simple and to the point and easy to understand ❤ I'm thinking of making stickers but I didn't know how to start and your video is super helpful, thank you~♡
I’m so happy to hear that!! This is exactly what I hoped for when making the video. 💖💖💖 I thought the process would be a lot harder before I tried too.
Im so glad I found this video! I used zicoto sticker paper today (first time ever trying to make stickers) I had no idea that Im supposed to use a laminate sheet over it.... I scratched off and rubbed off so much of the ink just trying to cut them. I was about to cry lol !!!!
Awww I know the feeling!! I ruined so many stickers before finding my rhythm. I’m so glad to hear this video helped you out 💖
I just opened my shop today. I only have regular paper stickers right not but I'm looking into getting vinyl/waterproof ones! this was extremely helpful!
Wonderful! Congrats on opening your shop Adeline! Feel free to leave a link here, I'd love to check it out. Also, if you do plan on making stickers like this I recently uploaded a video that goes more into how to laminate. It seems hard at first but after a couple goes it gets easy :)
@@keilamarciel Thank you so much! This is the link to my shop: www.etsy.com/shop/AdelineStickers . I immediately bought the sheets and laminate after watching this video but unfortunately, I have not been able to try them because my printer decided to die on me two days after opening... and of course we are in the biggest ice storm my state has had since 1994 so I doubt I will be able to leave my house for another week... so right now the printer and shop is on hold :(
@@adelineanderson3065 Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that! 😓 Hope you’re able to find a solution soon. So far the shop looks good tho! Love that eyeball man you’ve made! Lol.
Hi! I just started making stickers with StickerApp. I wanna open my own Etsy and I would love to see a video of you with your experience and tips for running an Etsy. Also, I started an Instagram for my small business but I’m not too sure how I can catch my target audience yet. I’d love to see some feedback from you! Congrats on the new sticker cutter by the way. ✨
Briana Ramos Can you tell me the insta account name? I’d love to see your artwork!
cinnamoony art My Instagram is @hometownxcreations. It’s still brand new with only two posts right now, but I have more work in my sketchbooks and on my computer!
Hey Briana! Sounds like you're on the right track! I'll definitely make a video about Etsy! Are there any specifics you have questions about that I could help with?
Keila Marciel I guess I would really like to know how to beat utilize Etsy. For instance, how to make sure listings can reach as many people as possible and ideas on how to make sure packages best represent the small business. Also, with regards to social media how to make the account really speak to potential customers, so that they will want to visit/purchase from Etsy.
Since using the Joyeza Sticker Vinyl Paper, do you like it better than Zicotos?
I continue to buy the Joyeza paper for the price :) the only difference is that the Zicoto is a bit thicker feeling, but I've been perfectly happy with the Joyeza, no complaints. And I think the thickness felt with the Zicoto sticker paper is more from the backing sheet than the sticker itself.
Yoooo the sticker funny as hell. Lo
It's still my most popular sticker to date 😂
Does the laminate serves as a waterproof and protection for the sticker? And which surfaces do you apply the stickers at? I was looking at the reviews at amazon and I was so confuse about how the stickers are lifting when they’re washing it and that it survived the dish washer. 🤦🏻♀️
I do use the laminate for that reason, although if you want to skip that step I've had luck with the Homsto waterproof paper. My customers always seem really impressed with the quality of the laminated ones, but I put in my item's description that I don't recommend they go through the dishwasher. I use mine on my stainless steel water bottle and they're all still fine. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching Angela.
Did you have luck with putting these on a tumbler? I too was wondering how these would hold up under a coat of resin. The last stickers I tried got stained because mod podge didn't seal enough.
Do you think lamination is essential? I have some glossy sticker paper but didn't think about laminating
The reason I chose to laminate my stickers is because I know a lot of my customers put them on their metal water bottles (hydroflasks). I printed a test sticker (without lamination) and dripped some water on it, the ink immediately started running, so I didn't want that to happen to anyone buying them. I'd suggest printing a test sticker for yourself and seeing how it reacts to water with the glossy paper you use. If you do decide to laminate your stickers I suggest Avery laminating sheets, they have been so much easier than using the roll I show in this video. :) Hope this helps! Here's an amazon link if you're interested in the Avery laminating sheets: amzn.to/2YXYzqz
I spray my stickers with waterproof gloss. It made them waterproofe.
You are so sweet I can’t 😭 Also the stickers 👌👌👌 amazing
Awwww thank you! 🥰 Glad you enjoyed the video and the stickers 😋💕
Love this !! I’m thinking about a lighter with keyring and designing lighters, ashtrays and grinders. Which is the best affordable printer to get for this ? Thank you
After a lot of research I went with a Canon ip8720, it was $250 so not crazy expensive and the prints come out GREAT for the price! I also make art prints and we've been printing large photos my bf takes to decorate the house and I'm SUPER happy with the quality. Hope this helps!
hello, your stickers are adorable. and this video is very helpful thank you so much!
Thanks for watching Fleurina! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you this was very informational!!!
I love this video! Have you had a chance to try a kiss cut with the laminate in place? Does it make it more difficult?
Pintsizedpanda Hi! So I have continued to use the Avery laminating sheets with my Cricut machine and it works fine! I set the machine to heavy cars stock and haven’t had a problem. If you’re doing print then cut files (with the black line around the page) you might have to put some matte scotch tape over the black lines so that the machine can read it and cut in the right place.
Pintsizedpanda Just looked it up on Amazon, the tape I’ve been using is called ‘Scotch Matte Finish Magic Tape’ 👍👍
Keila Marciel thank you so much for the responses!!
wow this is really cool
love it
Do you still recommend this sticker sheet brand?
I’ve been using Homsto and I’m happy with it.
Hello! Can I ask what specific pronter did you use in this video? I'm very short on budget but still want to risk it all for a printer.
Since filming this I bought a new printer from Amazon that I HIGHLY recommend. It's very affordable too. The Canon IP8720, here's a link if you want to check it out: www.amazon.com/Canon-iP8720-Wireless-AirPrint-Compatible/dp/B00HM0IV52/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Canon+ip8700&qid=1606251108&sr=8-2
Could you give a link for the sticker paper you used at 4:49 the one that, is pink and yellio and a little blue on the bottom
I’m pretty sure that’s the Zicoto brand sticker paper. There’s a link to it in the description box. Thanks for watching 😊
Can you stick one? Can you do it on clear paper so the back isnt white its clear?
I know Homsto sells clear vinyl sticker paper. That’s not what I’m using here but if you’re in interested in that here’s a link: amzn.to/3bfgEYk
Hi Keila! Thanks for the awesome video. Do you still use the Avery Laminate Sheets for your stickers? Do you use the same method that you used in this video? Thanks!
Yes! I still use Avery Laminate sheets and love them, they're sold in packs of 50 on Amazon. I think they give the stickers a super professional feel. I also get the Joyeza sticker paper from Amazon too. The only thing I've changed since this video is getting the Cricut machine, because my wrist was hurting... real bad lol. Hope this helps! :)
Sorry I have another question😅 the laminate paper it's the same or works the same as an contact paper?
The application process is similar! But I realized I had a much easier time with the laminating sheets versus the rolls when it came to air bubbles. The Avery Laminating sheets I use are linked in the description of this video if you're interested in them. They ended up being the best deal when I did all the math too lol.
@@keilamarciel thanks Keila!!
@@soloataraxia No problem! Hope you enjoy your very own stickers soon! 👍
Timmy and Tommy! ❤️. I love fussy cutting...😛
Haha the cutting did become kind of meditative after a while 😂
Do you need the laminating paper or can you just use the vinyl sticker paper?
Oh, I see the answer from a previous comment! Never-mind. Thank you!
Yeah, you don’t NEED it but it does help any ink bleed from moisture. So if you’re selling these stickers for journaling they should be fine - but if you’re selling them to go on water bottles or exterior use you should laminate. 👍 Hope this helps Angeline! ✨ Thanks for watching!
Do I need to have a certain printer? And what website do you recommend for printing my stickers at maximum quality?
Not really but this is the printer I use and recommend: amzn.to/2J95ucr
As for printing companies I've only ever used Sticker Mule and I was happy with their results.
Is an inkjet better than a laser printer?
I've only used inkjet, I have a Canon ip8720 that I'm really happy with.
@@keilamarciel ok, thank you for info 😊
Very informative thank you!
Glad to hear it helped! 😊👍
The laminate sheets you recommended are not the same as the roll you're using in the video...
Correct. After filming this and using the rolls for a while I discovered these sheets and they made my life sooo much easier, which is why I recommend them. Don’t bother with the rolls. Trust me!
The sheets are a lot easier and more cost effective.
So I just use a regular printer with sticker paper instead?
Yeah I was using a simple office inkjet printer when I started & filmed this. You can experiment on regular paper first. Then if you like the way it looks on regular paper than the sticker paper should be fine too. Just make sure you choose “best” quality option in the window that comes up after you hit print ☺️👍
@@keilamarciel Okay, Thanks so much!
Omg love your art ❤️
Thanks so much Lela! 💖 That’s super sweet of you! 🥰
I relate to zoning while cutting 200 stickers on a spiritual level 😂
Haha, it’s definitely one of those meditative things 😅
Awesome video! I want to buy these same exact paper but have a question, do you recommend buying the laminate if someone is going to put the sticker in a helmet for exámenes? Or just an UV resistant spray from krylon? Like what's most useful for outdoors?
Hi Nicole! The laminate should be fine for that, I’ve never used the krylon spray so I can’t speak for that - but I’ve been getting Avery laminating sheets from Amazon and I love them!
@@keilamarciel thanks!! Have a good day
Nicole You too! Cheers! ☺️
Hi would this work with any printer?
If not can you link your printer? Pleaseee
@@jaileneguillen8993 Hi Jailene, sorry for the late response, I thought I had commented on this but I guess it never went through. I got a new printer since filming this that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, its the Canon ip8700
If I want to use this vinyl for tumblers I’d I have to use the laminate sheet?
Hi Tamara, you'll only need the laminate if you're printing any designs. The laminate is to protect the ink from water damage. If you're just cutting the designs into plain vinyl you should be fine. There's a channel called "Makers Gonna Learn" you might wanna check out, they do videos on making tumblers specifically.
Keila Marciel Thank you so much for the response, I will check out that video, I really appreciate it!
Which cricut did you end up getting?
I got the Cricut Explore Air 2 from Amazon. It was the best price I found for them.
How do you get them cut on a cricut? I have one but I not really sure how to use it. Also thank you for all the recomendation.
I plan on making a follow up video to this, showing my process with the Cricut machine. Stay tuned 😊👍
@@keilamarciel that's awesome, I'll certainly check it out when you post it!
Hi, can i make my own happy birthday vinyl sticker using this method? I want to put the sticker on my gift boxes- top surface (pizza box- as a gift box)
Zack Sara Yeah! It should totally work for that, if you have a Cricut or Sillhouette machine you’d probably be able to cut right into vinyl sticker paper without the laminating part too!
@@keilamarciel i hope i have my own cricut or silhouette..but its very costly..i cannot have it😩
@@zacksara148 I used to think they were crazy expensive too, and that I'd never get one... but keep your eyes peeled, I got a decent deal on Amazon for the Explore Air 2. Good luck!
Really helpful video thank you! Subscribed 😊
Awww thanks! Glad to hear it helped!
Does lamination make it glossy?
Yes! It also protects the ink from running if customers put your stickers on items like water bottles 👍
Could you use a laminate machine?
I’ve looked into this before and it seems that most machines laminate both sides of a sheet, which means your sticker would be kinda trapped in there. I think it would make peeling the sticker impossible.
Ok, this is gonna sound REAL stupid, but I’m using ibisPaint X to design my stickers, and I don’t know how the measurements work! Also can someone tell me how I translate my drawing from my iPad to a sticker( I have a printer) I’m just so confused!!!!
This isn't a bad question at all! I should probably make a video describing the design process... I use procreate to make my designs, take out the background layer and save the file as a .png. I've never used ibispaint... but in software like Photoshop you can resize images to be as large as you like the sticker. Are you using a Cricut? Because you can also resize images in their design space.
@@keilamarciel no. Currently I dont have any equipment in just preparing for the process. I'm making a business so I dont know if I want to wait longer and make the purchase or if I can spend lots of time cutting my own stickers
Where did you find stickers to print and what side goes up?
Hi Brandon, well I designed the stickers myself. And you can tell which side is for printing cuz it’s more matte looking. Some papers even have the backing side written on.
What kind of printer are you using
Canon ip8720
what sticker app do you use ? Great video btw !
I design my stickers with Procreate, I hope this is what you meant.
@@keilamarciel yes its what i meant :) ,thank you!
@@Kim4-20 Wonderful! Thanks for watching :)
The ink actually runs if you don't laminate?
With some vinyl sticker papers yes, I've tested HOMSTO sticker paper without laminating and that brand performs fine with water. No running at all. Hope this helps.
@@keilamarciel Thank you!
You could be the most beautiful women on the planet. 😊
What kind of printer are you using
