I guess Steve changed the lyrics for a reason but these words are about him finding god or higher power and meaning of life. Whole album is about finding right path in your life. This album is deeply personal for him I guess and we can enjoy the outcome.

This isnt the first time Brandon has pulled a song. He recorded 'the days' with Avicii but pulled that too.
I spoke with Steve the day that he released Nothing Scares Me Anymore and he told me that Feels Like Heaven was always another track and that he would work with the band after the release of the album, but it's 2020 and we don't know anything about it...
