I am considering buying a Cricut Explorer 3 to make my candle dust covers and labels. Very overwhelming with so many options but I am wondering if you need mats to cut cardstock on this machine?

I had 2 Cricut machines; one Cricut Explore Air 2 and then the Cricut Maker 2. But, not one of them cut properly with easy materials and designs. So, I had to return them both. I’m just not convinced that the new one will actually work!
