I think the guy in the Black suit is Ultraman but it's an iteration similar to SuperiorMan who is a clone to set up Superman but then becomes Bizarro.
I really appreciate how pronounced his bulge is in the suit. Snyder really dropped the ball on that part.

Not knowing anything about film-making, is it possible that the Engineer's plain black outfit is a placeholder so she can be covered up with CGI later? The Engineer in the comics is covered in liquid metal and gadgets and stuff.
Or just like the T-1000, it's her more normal appearance, and she becomes full metallic when she fights, or she's a normal human now, but something in this movie leads her to getting her powers.
She did have the ability in the comics at one time to "metal up" and then return to her human looking form. Gunn's a big Authority fan, so I'm sure she'll at some point look comics accurate.

My perception of this Clark Kent is greatly improved by the fact that I know a guy in real life looks exactly like that and I already said he was a real life Clark Kent and now I'm even more correct.
One of my favorite Sunday Movies videos is the one explaining the Clark Kent disguise. There’s actually a lot more put into it other than just the glasses. But recently lazy shows (Invincible and The Boys) have used the Clark Kent disguise as an excuse for bad secret identities.
The two things I can’t abide about that costume is the altering of the iconic “S” and damned collar. Kudos to the red trunks, bright colors and “S” on the cape!
The logo is based off the iconic kingdom come comic book by Mark Waid and Alex Ross with some fleitcher inspiration on it. But I agree the collar looks kinda weird
Grant Morrison solved the problem of how Superkalelfragalistic got so buff on a planet where he can easily lift anything by adding a super gym.

5:42 - that’s what I liked about Superman Returns. The colour palette for the world and everyone in it was sepia but superman stood out because of his suit. It gave him an otherworldliness and hinted at how the world saw him.

You do know it won't look that way onscreen. CGI will make it look smooth and more skin tight. Marvel's been doing it with their costumes for a while now.

What's silly is people acting like these photos are the finished product and not paparazzi street photos. On-set suits often need to leave some room for movement. It's not going to be super skintight with padded muscles and fake abs, but it will look very different shot on IMAX after being trimmed up in post production.
Yeah that’s the only singular thing about the costume that bugged me a little bit.
They should not make it the same universe as The Batman bc nows the chance to get a very very comic accurate batman with the classic classic suit

You're judging this based on the finished product of Routh's suit on film and promo photos, while Corenswet's we're seeing in paparazzi street pics. Besides, I prefer the full cut trunks on Corenswet here over Routh's bikini briefs.

My only complaint is that the costumes are too comic accurate. I still love them I just like having creative department make something accurate but also their own.

I’m just saying that creatively it’s fine to make some kind of original adjustments because if it was one to one we wouldn’t have the costumes like all the captain America designs from the MCU. Or scarlet witch’s red jacket or final design. Or even the guardians of galaxy designs
@AnvilPictures if the design can't be done simply without looking ridiculous, liberties need to be taken. But certain iconic costumes have to be done more accurately because of how ingrained they are in pop culture.
The hair looks like a bad toupee', and the suit would be perfect in 1974. Plus, that puffy baggy suit hides the physique that Corenswet worked to build. And with Krypto being in the film, this is the MCU 2.0.
