He knew he couldn't finish what he want, so he gave the power to Mikey. Only for them to save everyone together. I think its a very beautiful ending. Not the best. But i love it!

It's bittersweet since mikey changed, and hina survived but at what cost? It took takemichi and draken sacriface in order to save mikey, I know this is a reach but the ending felt too rushed and this fit better with tokyo revenger theme.
I think the character devolpment was very good and important because it shows that everything we do will changes somebody and the way they will evolve. Like Kisaki or Mikey but Mikey was the counterpart to this, at was him even if u want to change the things around him if ure the problem u can change everything around them, but in the end its you and not a gang or stuff like this. Kazutora was one of my favorites even if Baji is alive in the ending but we saw Kazutora learning from his mistakes and first of all he was psychopath and dead after the first war, but after Takemitchy steped in and stopped Mikey. Kazutora then had the chance to become the one who did very much to solve all of this and even saved Chifuyu and Takemitchy. Even if someone did something bad there is a story why he did it and he can become a better person if he works on himself.
I loved the ending. The time leap ability twist with shinichiro was cool. Wanting to save Mikey was a beautiful plot as it made sense, he was the last piece of the puzzle. Also loved the end as it was the best way to give everyone a beautiful clear path and destiny in all there lives.
Nope, he's batshit insane but somehow he's friends with everyone now even tho he was only friends with Kisaki because he thought he was interesting with how he was using people, which wouldn't happen because Kisaki wasn't evil in this timeline for some reason
For those who think the character development and bonds were wasted….. If none of those bonds formed would Takemitchy and Mikey been able to save everyone in the end? No? Then those bonds weren’t wasted they just culminated into the event that helped everyone.
I mean it’s kinda implied they do remember the second timeline, at least Chifuyu definitely does. People are just trying to find things to complain about IMO, it’s a fine ending albeit rushed
Hey, in not a bot.i don't care how others review the ending. That being said, this feels cheap. Literally every other time leap show that I've ever seen doesn't end like this. Normally it's the main guy offing himself to save everyone. I recently watched this ending and felt like it was missing something. Sure i want takamichi to ultimately prevail but not like this. I'm like one chapter it's like "well just get everybody to be our friends" then it works.
Im happy but all the shit we went thru all the pain the hype the fights its all over and its a happy ending Man all the god dahm deaths plots kills for this man i loved this series for real i did but imma just try to end this in my head my own way
I don’t know if u read manga properly but chifuyu had his memories even new timeline so we can say that everyone have memories of their different timeline version.
I liked this ending because when i first watched this takemichi really wanted to be a hero that saved everyone and lives that person and from the beginning of the series it was save one person at a time and i do like this ending was because he was able to understand everyone’s problems and tragedies and prevented them from going down there dark paths but i do feel there should be one death but at the same time that person wouldn’t live the 2nd chance at life like everyone else was given
How did they fundamentally change peoples core personality....like how did Takamichi convince Kasaki not to be a yandere simp! How did they get South to be less homicidal! It makes no sense! South wasn't even in Japan when he became a maniac!
dont know why everyone thinks this is a cop out this is what the story has been about the whole time yea it has left some plot holes but i reqlly enjoyed the read as a whole i think the story is good it may have been rushed but people are acting like it ruins the whole story are just a bunch of people who complain it doesnt go the way they want it to
You make a good point, but he saved everyone. I like the ending. I was also expecting a bitter sweet ending though. Also, I literally said in my head “Finally future where Mikey isn’t gang banging”. Him being a motor racer is awesome. Edit: Looking back, I still don’t mind the ending, but it definitely does seem rushed.
As a person who has no stake in the conversation (have not watched or read the manga, but read time loop stories on a regular basis): the whole point of time loop fiction lies in returning or going to the point in time where the mission can be accomplished. You should feel empty, because of the lost character growth and the bonds. That's the point. Any time traveler is a tragic character who remembers, while all the world around him just moves on. If the author couldn't deliver that feeling of emptiness, then he failed at the genre he chose.
I agree. I just finished the manga today, and the bittersweet feeling of everyone no longer remembering what happened after everything Takemichi has been through hurts, but it's just as beautiful as it is painful. Characters like Emma and Dracken were able to come back to life, but the friendships like Takemichi and Senju will never be the same. So the days they could have spent together were only reduced to one, where Takmichi made a promise to go out and eat Ice Cream with her again one day, but because the ending, that promise will never be fulfilled. The bonds were erased along with the past timelines, and only Takemichi and Mikey can share those memories together (the author still snuck in Chifuyu faintly remembering the entire adventure though, he probably wanted to give us at least one other person who will never forget). And that's why it feels like such a special ending. Takemichi was able to get his revenge on his life, and all those events were between his life and him. He got his revenge by saving all of his friends, and just them still being alive and happy is all he could ask for. He's called "Our Crybaby Hero," and just like any other superhero, does he really need any praise for being heroic?
That was his goal and got there always remember it’s not the ending that matters it will always suck it’s the journey at the end of that day that counts
I completely agree. 2nd arc is far different from what I thought it would be. I do appreciate the good ending but this doesnt really feel right, it felt kinda messed up yk?
would be cool if the creator did a couple of bonus chapters showing us the outcome of the timeline where mikey stabbed takemichi, i know it would be dark and more like a seinen manga but would still be cool
This made me cry but its also the worst thing ever SO HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH HIS VICE CAPTAIN WAS NOTHING THEN,HE LITERALLY SPENT YEARS WITH HIM GOING THROUGHOUT TIME HAD PLANS WATCHED HIM DIE SO EVERYTHING WAS MEANINGFUL SINCE HE WENT THAT FAR BACK IN TIME
The last chapter should have been 175,it would have been a perfect ending bittersweet yet amazing, if you exclude the next few chapters it's a 9/10,if not like a 7.5/10
I guess sometimes ppl need happy endings cuz of how the sadness and hardships from the previous timeline brings eventhough those are the precious memories.
Well that was the point of the whole story after all like after every time he went back to past he did his best but in future it meant nothing just like that the line "it meant nothing" was the thing that pushed takemicchi to try even harder and beyond the whole box to the point he made everything go return to zero and started a future that was perfect.
After all the bullshit that happend and the constant issues that made him have to go back it's nice to see he finnaly got what wanted after all the bullshit even if all that happened before didn't
The entire manga is about how they got to this ending. It's not about how it will end, it's about all the stuff they went through to get to this ending
That’s just the thing, all the stuff they went through to get to this end was erased and the only thing that we experienced that remained was the ending. It’s like the opposite of what you said happened.
Do you not just see how ironic of a argument you just made? “All the stuff they went through to get this ending” bro that literally doesn’t matter because all that they went through was erased and the story was basically for nothing at this point.
I think people forget how much every ending that takemichi had was so heart wrenching and riddled with death that this man had to watch everyone die and his best friend had to watch him die by his hands before they got it all right to see them get a heart warming ending after going through heart breaking experiences and even death this was a great ending because we already had a 100 endings where everything was a lesson and or ended in someone dying the whole point of time travel is to u ravel the mystery of getting it right
What do you mean meant nothing, it took everything for takemitchy and mikey to fix everything and they still grew up together and did normal toman shit
Exactly I felt when I read the ending I was im happy about the ending yet what was all that character development for 🤣 I’ll always love Tokyo Revengers tho favorite anime of mine
Wakui actually revealed that when Baji died, he has plans of reviving him in the end. Which makes it a domino effect that everyone who died after Baji will be revived as well. As for Mikey's dark impulses, it's as Angry/Hakkai said "how can you defeat a curse?" (I forgot who actually said this but it's one of the captains) so resetting the time prior to Shin's timeleaping that caused the curse was the key. Imo, wakui planned and thought of it very well. However, the execution felt fast-paced. Personally I don't have problem with the reset, but to me it feels like it should've taken like 30-50ish chapters more before the finale. Though all the characs had "new" devt in the new timeline, I agree that the devt they had in past timelines were wasted. It feels weird. It's bittersweet that those moments will stay only in Mikey & Michi's minds, and the others wouldn't remember.
So from what I heard the ending was really rushed due to some complaints with the publishing company so Wakui had to scrap whatever he could for the ending but he did announce he will be publishing new chapters to make up for the bad ending they will be coming out during Nov 2023
People are just so irritated that people's dream about saving everyone comes true, yeah I did expect a half sad half happy ending BUT the main significance of the time switch was to save EVERYONE in the room and i couldn't be more happier but different peeps different opinion...
Ik the end they rushed it and since tr is my no.1 and I am too attached to it also one of the most hurtful thing is that takemichi and chifuyu ain't friends no more because baji is still there
As Fanmade and Vanilla as it was, It was the ending I was Happy to see, as it showed me the How much Takemitchy had changed and how hard he worked, and Taught me nothing in life is set in stone
He needs to understand that perfect world doesnt exist even if you time travel many times. Yeah its really harsh to say but lets face the reality. It should be bitter sweet ending not like this
No matter how hard I try to edit my comment it won't work >:I so this is the edit that I wanted to add: We lost the characters that went through all those hardships(In a way we went through those hardships with them). The hardships and deaths made the characters who they were, and now they don't have that. So I am happy that everyone is happy and gets to live a perfect life, but I also mourn the "death" of the characters I grew to know and love.
This feels like it was a fanmade ending lmaoo

They should have made Takemitchy timeleap and Mikey forgetting everything, and he tried to save Hina and Mikey from his dark impulses
Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved…
I loved the ending. The time leap ability twist with shinichiro was cool. Wanting to save Mikey was a beautiful plot as it made sense, he was the last piece of the puzzle. Also loved the end as it was the best way to give everyone a beautiful clear path and destiny in all there lives.
Same I feel like I’m the only one who likes it 😭
@@Flapjack505 I love this manga. I love the manga more than the anime. It gets a bit of hate, each to there own, but I love this series.
@@IlovemangaxAnime same bro. I just finished it last week and it’s like top three for me
Huh I thought there was gonna be more to Hanma backstory
Im happy but all the shit we went thru all the pain the hype the fights its all over and its a happy ending
Man all the god dahm deaths plots kills for this man i loved this series for real i did but imma just try to end this in my head my own way
I don’t know if u read manga properly but chifuyu had his memories even new timeline so we can say that everyone have memories of their different timeline version.
I liked this ending because when i first watched this takemichi really wanted to be a hero that saved everyone and lives that person and from the beginning of the series it was save one person at a time and i do like this ending was because he was able to understand everyone’s problems and tragedies and prevented them from going down there dark paths but i do feel there should be one death but at the same time that person wouldn’t live the 2nd chance at life like everyone else was given
Feels like everything leading up to it was a waste honestly
Yeah i know right i feel you we felt the same but atleast atleast everyone still has they're memories not only mikey and takemitchi
How did they fundamentally change peoples core personality....like how did Takamichi convince Kasaki not to be a yandere simp! How did they get South to be less homicidal! It makes no sense! South wasn't even in Japan when he became a maniac!
Im sooo glad, i didnt want emma to die
dont know why everyone thinks this is a cop out this is what the story has been about the whole time yea it has left some plot holes but i reqlly enjoyed the read as a whole i think the story is good it may have been rushed but people are acting like it ruins the whole story are just a bunch of people who complain it doesnt go the way they want it to
You make a good point, but he saved everyone.
He's called "Our Crybaby Hero," and just like any other superhero, does he really need any praise for being heroic?
bro that's a church in the end, we gonna see a wedding lmao. maybe it's takemitchi and hina
W ending character development ment for main character to be pushed and for certain things to happen
The fact that this story would’ve never happened if it wasn’t imagined first is truly incredible😭
Fr love ken wakui ❤️
Thats the best ending for everyone, maybe not for the character development, but maybe we Will get a "spin off" with this new timeline
I don’t get why people hate the ending, takemichi got what he wanted while also saving everyone so this is the best possible ending.
I'm conflicted but more to happy cause I just want them to be happy in the end tbh😭
I feel that 😔
i dont know when i was reading the last chap of manga....
tears suddenly developed in my eyes..
I was already in a little bit depression so 😮💨i started this series to get out of depression and after this im full in depression 🥲🥲💔💔
That was his goal and got there always remember it’s not the ending that matters it will always suck it’s the journey at the end of that day that counts
This is literally screaming Time travel fix-it fanfic
I completely agree. 2nd arc is far different from what I thought it would be. I do appreciate the good ending but this doesnt really feel right, it felt kinda messed up yk?
yep, im okay but it is feel rushed af
This ending is like spit to face about the sacrifice some people made for others to move foward
Theres no way in hell kisaki and hanma become a good guy and attended in their wedding 💀☠️
I glad everyone is happy but I wished the author wakui didn't push it into one chapter
would be cool if the creator did a couple of bonus chapters showing us the outcome of the timeline where mikey stabbed takemichi, i know it would be dark and more like a seinen manga but would still be cool
It's a show abt time travelling. All the development got reset over and over again. This was literally the only was to save everyone.
Well I'm happy that every guys who were dead are alive though
Without character development they wouldn't know how to change their past so its not useless-....
This made me cry but its also the worst thing ever
SO HIS FRIENDSHIP WITH HIS VICE CAPTAIN WAS NOTHING THEN,HE LITERALLY SPENT YEARS WITH HIM GOING THROUGHOUT TIME HAD PLANS WATCHED HIM DIE SO EVERYTHING WAS MEANINGFUL SINCE HE WENT THAT FAR BACK IN TIME
The last chapter should have been 175,it would have been a perfect ending bittersweet yet amazing, if you exclude the next few chapters it's a 9/10,if not like a 7.5/10
its better than seeing our fav charecters dying
I guess sometimes ppl need happy endings cuz of how the sadness and hardships from the previous timeline brings eventhough those are the precious memories.
nobody dies and a happy ending that's it
What I hate the most was..that i cried for draken dying.. And now it means nothing.
Well that was the point of the whole story after all like after every time he went back to past he did his best but in future it meant nothing just like that the line "it meant nothing" was the thing that pushed takemicchi to try even harder and beyond the whole box to the point he made everything go return to zero and started a future that was perfect.
When Takemitchi saved Kisaki, i tokyo'd all over the floor. Truly it was our revenge
writer of this show just pressed "factory reset" button
Best ending for me, after all the suffering they went through i think they deserve happy ending
That's just what happened in Prince of Persia the sands of time
After all the bullshit that happend and the constant issues that made him have to go back it's nice to see he finnaly got what wanted after all the bullshit even if all that happened before didn't
“All the stuff they went through to get this ending” bro that literally doesn’t matter because all that they went through was erased and the story was basically for nothing at this point.
no
felt like the author was in a rush and just came up with the biggest plot twist to end the entire series
I just wished chifuyu remembered everything
And he did remember...
i think the problem is that it shouldve been expanded on more, a lot more, it felt very rushed and sudden
Never agreed with “meant nothing” viewpoint. Without any of those bonds or events, this future wouldn’t have occurred.
Jeez bro. Uf you want to make a happy ending for a time travel anime. Then you should have steins gate as the base
I think people forget how much every ending that takemichi had was so heart wrenching and riddled with death that this man had to watch everyone die and his best friend had to watch him die by his hands before they got it all right to see them get a heart warming ending after going through heart breaking experiences and even death this was a great ending because we already had a 100 endings where everything was a lesson and or ended in someone dying the whole point of time travel is to u ravel the mystery of getting it right
*ATLEAST NOW BAJI IS ALIVE* 🎉🎉🎉🎉😭
What do you mean meant nothing, it took everything for takemitchy and mikey to fix everything and they still grew up together and did normal toman shit
After how they just spent their new lives together and fixed everything together the ones who should get married are Takemitchy and Mikey
No
No hate btw
Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved…
Well the author himself say i want to restart my life and start it again
Exactly I felt when I read the ending I was im happy about the ending yet what was all that character development for 🤣 I’ll always love Tokyo Revengers tho favorite anime of mine
I am happy to hear that
Wakui actually revealed that when Baji died, he has plans of reviving him in the end.
As long as mikeys happy 🤷♀️ as long as my baby’s happy
People are just so irritated that people's dream about saving everyone comes true, yeah I did expect a half sad half happy ending BUT the main significance of the time switch was to save EVERYONE in the room and i couldn't be more happier but different peeps different opinion...
Ik the end they rushed it and since tr is my no.1 and I am too attached to it also one of the most hurtful thing is that takemichi and chifuyu ain't friends no more because baji is still there
This kinda feels like a copout or something to make an ending as quickly as possible with no other short ending in sight. It feels too impossible
As Fanmade and Vanilla as it was, It was the ending I was Happy to see, as it showed me the How much Takemitchy had changed and how hard he worked, and Taught me nothing in life is set in stone
I like the ending but the bonds that he lost (especially chifuyu)makes me sad. I hope the animated version doesnt seem as rushed as the manga tho
Ah yes, the Mass Effect 3 of manga
He needs to understand that perfect world doesnt exist even if you time travel many times. Yeah its really harsh to say but lets face the reality. It should be bitter sweet ending not like this
I fr predicted this ending the time Draken , but didnt think even mikey would time leap
Didn't even notice cause I'm about that ⚔ 💀 life 🗿
The only problem I have is this should’ve been the final arc but it’s just an extremely rushed unexplained chapter like just 2 chapters that’s insane
