- Welcome back to AVC Sessions, our series where we bring in an artist, band, musician, singer, rapper, etc. to perform three of their tracks. This week, we’re sharing songs by Scottish indie-rock band Frightened Rabbit. Earlier this year, the five-piece embarked on The Midnight Organ Fight 10th Anniversary Tour in celebration of the critically acclaimed LP.
Damnit. His music got me through so many bad times over the years. Unfortunately I was never able to see them live.
RIP Scott.
I can relate, only found out about them a couple years ago, unbelievable that I'll never get to see them live, but they made a lasting impression, and for that I'm grateful.
"It's more of a chore", couldn't help but feel like he was saying it's just reopening old wounds every time its show time. rip buddy
Yeah, he just seems at his most vulnerable here.
@@object_ash He really does. I literally cannot watch him without smiling and crying at the same time. I miss HIM!!!!!!!!!! Fuc*.
@@karenhuff9925 yeah this video was posted literally 5 days before he ended it. He seems vulnerable yes, but to me honestly he just seems exhausted.
I am so grateful for this music...I am so, so sad it's over. I've never been comforted by a person I've never met like he and this band comforted me. There are such gigantic shoes to fill now. I hope you are better now Scott...I hope we all are.
I can't belive this only has 23k views RIP Scott
Same here. The songs have a lot of soul.
I never met you Scott but I miss you to death. You have no idea how much you’ve changed my life. The changes you made were far more than just “tiny”
NIcely stated, cheers.
Personal loss for 2018. Pointing out that the music is beautiful, and if I had an opportunity I'd say how much Scott's voice steered me right, I'd do it.
How the absolute hell could someone dislike this?
Such an important album to so many people. First concert I ever got tickets to, and an album I revisit every year. So happy to see them still doing sessions for this after 10 years.
RIP Scott. :(
Wonderful sound quality. Cheers to The A.V. Club. Yes, you all rock!
When I start listening to FR when i'm driving , I am giving it laldy, using all my car controls like i am playing in the band, but then reality starts to weep into my bones. It's not long before i'm bathed in tears and even the window wipers can't remove them x
NIcely put mate.
Scott got me through so much. Still does.
Lovely to hear Scott and the boys again xx
Still miss you Scott, hope your finally at peace dude..
Well today I learned Scott Hutchison is a big Soundgarden fan, and that's pretty cool as a big fan of both bands. Rock on both of you legends Scott and Chris, two amazing musicians sadly taken from us by suicide
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!
that last interview peace was nice to see.
Love and miss Scott. Best album ever
Special man another year worse of for his absence.
His voice was so so special. It's weird to use the past tense.
His voice is angels, peace, and utterly phenomenal.
Such a dark, sharp sense of humor. So bare.
RIP Scott
I almost wish that the interviewer had talked to Scott about his comments regarding FR being a chore.
Wow, he looks so roughed up. I don't remember him looking like that on this tour in Boston. Really sad.
I can see that. LIke Elliottt Smith (and Vincent van Gogh) this singer worked to the end of his career.
when is this session from exactly? Is it actually from the beginning of this month? edit: nevermind- I guess it's from February, since they talk about having just begun the TMOF10 tour in Chicago. edit#2: man, that's sad how he talks about not being able to hear Superunknown in full ever, and now his fans are put in that same situation with most of his own work... edit #3: "I like the first 5, but now it's just a chore" That was definitely revealing something.
As someone who just discovered them, can you tell me what their prettiest songs to listen to are?
all of them
Poke
This.. I wish I was sober, they also did an amazing nye cover of whole of the moon.
LIsten to the FR cover "Surrender" by Cheap Trick. It is on one of their albums.
Does anyone know when exactly this was filmed? Was this during their US tour of their Midnight Organ Fight 10th Anniversary?
Ugh, Still hurts
its hard to watch this
Was this really filmed in May 2018? Is this Scott’s last recorded performance?
LessThree yeah I think it is 😕
It premiered the day he disappeared.
I know this is an old comment, but nope, his last performance is on UA-cam, at the oslo with master system on may 5.
@@NoNameNo.8 cool, good to know. Thanks!
The band were in Chicago for a couple of gigs around mid-Feb 2018 so I would think this was filmed then
Tough times indeed. I can tell he’s not really himself at the beginning of the interview. I wish it hadn’t come to this.
Daniel Horton I agree he really didn't seem himself at all, it was actually a bit difficult to watch at points. Tremendously sad.
emmrar brilliant musician he was. I will be buying all their catalog soon.
Daniel Horton he was really special and such an amazing lyricist...weird to say you'll miss someone you don't know but I will.. so much!
So sad... just sick
He really does look like he's completely given up life in this...
🥲
