The equipment I used to record this song was an Epiphone Les Paul Gold Top, and the AmpKit amp on my iPhone. The preset I used was Vintage Plexi for the dirty/crunch parts, and Modern clean for the clean intro.
Cigarettes And Alcohol was a song released by the 90’s rock n roll band Oasis who were from Manchester UK in 1994, and also released as the eighth song on the band's debut album Definitely Maybe which was released later that year. The song reached number 3 in the UK singles chart and is regarded as one of the band’s classic hits.
The opening riff is clearly lifted from T. Rex’s classic Get It On but with Oasis giving it a more punk feel. This version of the song was taken from the band’s legendary performance at Earls Court Arena in London, UK during their 1995 UK tour in support of their second album What’s the story morning glory.
