Interestingly, even though Walt got away, Hank *did* catch him He technically accomplished his main goal before he died Fate just threw in an unexpected element
to be fair, Walt did warn Hank to tread carefully if he decides to go down this path. Hank severely underestimated the complexity and danger surrounding Walt’s criminal life
To be fairer, Walt knows that trying to stop hank from doing the right thing is like trying to stop a tsunami with a towel, it’ll never work. I don’t think he ever misunderstood. He knew he was dealing with the biggest drug kingpin in American history, he just didn’t want it to be Walter.
To be even more Fairererer, Hank took a lot of pride in his Job, him being the brother-in-law to the biggest drug kingpin in American history for months (or a year? Not sure at what point in time this is) without noticing is a career and respect ending thing to happen. It was either him hunting down Walt or loose any credibility or ability in his job. Either way, at this point it was certain that his life was going down the drain.
See my opinion surrounding placing Hank's death on Walt's hands is actually really hard to form. See no matter how much I think about how bad Walter's actions are, how this series of events would'nt've played out if not for his decisions. It all keeps going back "Hank is an officer that willingly put himself in this position, and didn't have a very good plan to catch Walt all things considered and shouldn't have orchestrated it like he did." Imagine if he had pulled a real official police sting with backup unit upon backup unit.
If Hank didn't stick around to gloat and talk to his wife, he may have left the area before the bikers arrived. Instead, he continued to hold a conversation with Walter that could have been saved for later and in a more safe environment, and antagonize a dying man. I mean, Walt has eluded Hank for so long, I would personally be in a mindset that Walt already has a plan in motion.
Should have left well enough alone. Neither of them could help themselves but do what they felt they were meant to do, and it ended up costing their lives.
From the movie Con Air: "I'm DEA. You know what that means?!".... Dave Chepelles charachter: "it means you're the most crooked ni**a on this plane".... True Story.
It's been 51 years since The Godfather came out, but I haven't seen it. When you talk about any movie/tv show you still have to be ware of the people who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing them yet, not everyone is keeping up with tv shows as they come out. Just because something has existed for a long time, doesn't mean you can spoil it for the folks who haven't seen it, be mindful :)
How did you manage to edit out the background music that Breaking Bad came with? You know what I'm talking about. It conveyed an image of the character on the screen being a total badass and personally I feel it was the perfect music. It didn't get repetitive or anything, and it added so much to the show. So original, so creative. This is sarcasm btw I'm basically ready for war against these damn TikTok "artists" at this point 😂
From how badly Hank disrespected Jesse after Jesse threw away his freedom just to become hanks informant and save Hank from getting looped in with the Heisenberg business. Basically my drawn out conclusion is Hank getting shot in the head in the end was just karma for taking Jesse for granted
I quite enjoyed Hank getting killed. His character was just designed to rub the wrong way. Same as Skyler. You're supposed to feel bad for hating them because they're not the bad guy, but I'm ok with hating on an unlikable character if it's put in front of me.
Breaking bad is the story of a man who desperately doesn’t want to send his brother-in-law to Belize and then ends up sending his brother-in-law to Belize
Hank didn't deserve that. Hank wanted drugs out of his area, Walt decided to become a drugpin, and kept going after having enough money for his initial cause, paying for his cancer treatments. Walt made Hank's life a new literal hell AND got him killed.
Couldn't agree more. He was a racist, treated addicts like subhuman, and treated his wife like garbage when he was bedridden. He has some redeeming qualities and I did love some of his scenes but at the end of the day he's a fed and a fed is a fed.
People always rave about how morally just and a good person hank is. But imo, he's juts as nasty as Walter White, he's just on the other mafia's side; The Government. He doesn't care about anyone but himself, and sees drug users as low-life second class citizens, and is only interested in punishing people.
I think the only mistake Walt ever made was not getting the F outta dodge after Hank was killed. He should have known there was no way I fucked Ted and breakfast boy would go with him.
Right? Why is he trying to help his family out or trying to get drugs off the street? He should have been minding his own business. Maybe poisoning some kids or raping his wife instead
No unnecessary loud music, no over the top filter, no nauseating transitions, simple yet great edit 👍🏽

Noob shouldn't have died.😮💨🥱
My man just said skill issue 💀
Being caught would imply also being arrested and being held accountable, Hank just put him in cuffs and that's as far as he got
I would have to argue that yes he got Walt in handcuffs, but he never got him into a station and never got him formally charged
he got the Miranda Rights. I count it

Something about these two scenes together like that with just the silence between them. Goosebumps. Great work.
