Plot:
Set during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) in Germany, the film follows a group of soldiers who, amidst the devastation of war and the plague, find a peaceful valley that has been untouched by the destruction. They decide to settle there and live in peace. However, their attempt to live quietly soon becomes a struggle for survival, as tensions between a French commander, an English soldier, an Ottoman mercenary, and local villagers arise. The film explores human nature and survival instincts during desperate times.
