Hey Ed, the college dorm room setup is mine. I wanted to say thank you for featuring me! I submitted my previous setup from home to your channel all the way back in 2017, since the series inspired me to make my own. I was never featured, but now 7 years later my college setup made it! Thank you for what you did with the channel, it was a huge part of the later end of my childhood. P.S. - No sourcery in the backboard, there’s just many more heavy duty L brackets on the other side of the desk. It’s study as can be.
The L bracket must be at minimum the 1/10th of the length of a beam. For instance, in this case it seems like it can fit 4 of those brackets in height. Notice how the speakers are mounted near the bottom of the head board. This is because the closest you are to the point of rotation, the smaller the torque is (as to the point of rotation). So with that being said, its perfectly steady and it probably could lift another monitor or 2.
For cutting marble you want diamond blades and a circular saw, I used to install marble and quartz for a living. You can also buy diamond sanding pads in various grits to get the cut edges to a more polished finish. I will say that going with quartz over marble is a smart play as marble is natural stone and can contain pores, internal chasms you won't see until you cut, and you can have blowouts or even the very unfortunate turn of events where the whole slab just shatters. Marble is also much heavier and much more succeptable to wear and tear. You would use the same tools for cutting and sanding quartz as you would for marble. Loved this series by the way, I binge watched all of it like it was a Netflix series. If you ever want to build a custom quartz desk setup let me know lol.
Marble is hard asf I would go to a kitchen and bath contractor and ask for what they call “drops”, basically scraps, leftover pieces and tear outs. Cutting, polishing, and finishing marble take many hours and what doubles its value. At concrete counter top would be interesting though too, many colors and patterns could be created.
for cutting marble you can use a tile cutter depending on the size of the machine and cutter. The tile cutter uses a sharp blade with water so that the tile does not break or crack.
I used to install marble and granite countertops. We used diamond cutting blades on an angle grinder. But to cut the big slabs out they used a super powerful water jet CNC.
Hi Ed, love the vids and setup wars. It's giving me insperation to build my very own ultimate setup one day...just like yours, but money is tight over here. I'm 15 and want to become a software engineer or IT Developer, don't reallly know yet... Ps: i agree with the couples setup, I want yo game with my future girlfriend to but idk if she will be into gaming as much as I am. Love the content, your videos make my day everytime❤
Ed the one with the bed is a bunk bed, they arent on the ground, its the bottom bed and the weird angled monitor is probably for watching stuff laying down on their side
relatively simple to go to a countertop shop with some measurements and get marble or other natural stone cut for you. Sometimes you can even get a deal on whats called 'remnants'. leftover pieces of stone from other projects sold at a discount. If you only need a few small pieces, you can get really nice stone for pennies on the dollar.
I really dig these videos Ed, I am building my own MEGA home ManCave UA-cam Livestreaming, Filmmaking & Product Photography Studio and finding so much insperation from both yours & others setups. I also plan to send you everything required to be featured on your "Setup-Wars" show in the hope to WIN one of your "Seal-Of-Approval" plaques! OMG... "Open Up Your Wife...tic, tic, tic... to gaming of course" LOL. Keep up the awesomest UA-cam channel in the world (apart from mine) Much brotherly love. Cheers from Western Australia
How can I apply for a setup make over. I would really like to get one right now I have a ps5 and a Alienware moniter that supports 360hz but I only can use 120 of them
TechSource you’re the funniest tech youtuber out there man. I love watching every new upload cuz I know that apart from being some really entertaining content, you’re always going to catch me off guard say some dumb stuff and make me laugh😆. Thanks for great content as always🙏🏽❤️.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate how much he puts into his videos? (Bro he has editors lol. But that doesn’t matter! Keep it up ed I love u! Your amazing for young kids and ur so important to this platform (UA-cam) we all need to appreciate you ed your amazing! Keep it up ed u got this, come on! Oh also I have a hospital appointment tomorrow morning and you made me so happy I love you ed
I have my keyboard and mouse right at the edge of my desk for gaming - iI find t is the best way to prevent wrist strain. I adjust my chair arm rests so that my hands are comfortable without any pressure on my wrists at all. As a 40 year old this type of thing gets more important with age!
IKEA is great. Not everyone is filthy rich or has the means to purchase a $5k table. For those who don't like IKEA furniture, I have one thing to say. (GET OVER IT !!). 🤷♀ Unless the complainer is going to dish out the money, then they shouldn't be upset. Specially in this day in age of 2023 going to 2024 where things are a bit rough and peoples pockets are on budget mode. I have friends that complained and made the (omg-face) when I purchased 4 Alex draws. I gave him 2 options (GET OVER IT or get out my car and start walking). Some people don't have the means to be purchasing custom made furniture or purchase very expensive ones. They are making due with what they have and can afford. Just be a human being towards people. And enjoy the very short time we have on this world. 🤷♀🥰
Ed, I am in the same situation. Married trying to teach my wife to play games. She already plays sims and can now beat me in Mario Kart if she tries hard enough.
Edgar screw those guys who hates ikea setups... I spend al lot of money on ikea stuff and I have no regrets.. at all. Because of those ikea setups iam now addicted to this freaking channel.. I've never spend that much money on amazon or ikea since I watched this.. So if somebody should be mad it's me.. but I love this channel of pure inspiration.. thank you for all the effort and thank the viewers for all those builds. Maybe I'll send in my setup someday.. I am 42 a policeman from the Netherlands and I love to watch all of this.. 👌👌
Yes! I always have my keyboard and mouse like 5 cm from the edge. Just enough to rest my wrist. It comes from years of playing at high dpi where I only need to slightly move my wrist around. Having my whole forearm on a desk is really uncomfortable tbh
That bunkbed one would be something I would build. The side monitor would be used to look to the side since your head is at an angle. it does looks dangerous though
Well some of us ladies love the cute stuff once in a while. Capybara Spa, Animal Crossing, Timberborn, the Spirit and the Mouse, Ghost of a Tale, Planet Zoo, Star Dew Valley, the Zeldas... maybe even a click and point adventure or a visual novel. They are cute, cosy and easy. Maybe your wife might enjoy some of them. Gaming for relaxation is legit too. And if she doesn't like them you already have some cute games at hand for your daughter in a few years.
Greetings from Sweden, Edgar. Dude ..I saw it, Mr.O! ..The Wallpaper you added from that Movie I asked if you were in 5:10 .The Picture hanging to the left. .. And i'm also born April 6, 1988 two-days bef. you. Therefore Happy belated birthday wish to you as well my man. Thanks Bye.
i understand what you mean about 2 people side by side work from home however, when we go to the office we work side by side in a much more busy enviroment so in the grand scheme of things 1 person is nothing
@TechSource I'm sure the guy with the joysticks had his keyboard flush with the front of the desk just to show off the internals of the desk PC, I'm sure he games like us normal people, with the keyboard shoved closer to the monitor, using the desk as armrests.
"If you don't consider the 1 problem, it is flawless..." I would have given the setup a 9/10, not a 10/10, simply because of how much effort was put into the rest of the setup, and then the primary power cable was just forgotten about in the process of making the setup super clean.
sir plz help me ,I am very confused, I build my First gaming PC so which is best cabinet for me like give good airflow and easy to Clean ? ASUS GT501 vs ASUS GT 301 vs Lian Li Lancool III vs NZXT H7 Flow in 4th which is best ?
hey bro i really enjoy you video and i watch every episode of the setup wars i would love a new setup to be in one of these videos built by you but i know this will never reach you 😢 but thank you for entertaining me i found joy and happiness in your videos 🙏
Hey ed, u might not see this but im still gonna comment, im gonna build my system after about 10-15 days, but, i dont know how to update the bios to the right version of my cpu, i got the ryzen 5 5600x and the asus rog strix b550-A gaming, do u mind helping me and telling me how to update the bios to the right and newest version?
Millwork Engineer here...are we sure that's not a marble laminate? I've seen some pretty good fabricators turn bland MDF into beautiful looking marble shelves. Think he can cut his desk for us to show a section? (jkjk)

Techsource11???
wait, i didnt know ed was an elite man of culture. that mention of "no game no life" = mad respect.
Naww ngnl is one of the most overrated animes out there. I'd rather rewatch the entirety of sword art online.
@@karenwang313i don't understand SAO.
Your editor is just so great
Shes hot too its my sister irl
Hanjanja
big up the wife
Thanks bebeh

That’s very interesting, thx for sharing 🙏🏻
Those brackets actually don’t support any of the weight. There is a lot of bracing + heavy duty L brackets on the back and beneath the desk.
"its like getting teased until your ready to climax, then the lights turn on and its time to go home." Ed did you get that from personal experience XD
"I'll open her up." - TechSource (Ed)
Ed always knows how to make the most banger series titles
He already changed the title 😢
you dont even know bro

The setup with three ultrawides was insane, I couldn't stop laughing.

7:23 what chair is that? I know it’s a stupid question but I’m looking to get a new chair and was wondering if this was good quality?
12:09 IS THAT A 2007 compact camera as a STREAMING WEBCAM?!!?!? 😂😂
loving this new series, gives me some ideas for setups
I used to install marble and granite countertops. We used diamond cutting blades on an angle grinder. But to cut the big slabs out they used a super powerful water jet CNC.
Another great show Ed thank you😊

@ 6:15 m Kay ... glad to hear you dont have a moisture problem Bro You should be worried if you Did haha 🤣
11:53 is the best one here 🔥🔥🔥🔥💙💙
You can cut marble with a tile saw or an angle grinder with a specific blade. You then use a sand grit to smooth out the edges.
Keep on making these videos 😂 Super interesting and fun to watch.
Your spin move at the end is how I plan to exit places from now on
I hope the creators of no game no life will be inspired by this and start creating season 2. Damn i love that anime.
13:15 HE ALSO HAS A DECPETICON PC!! AUTOBOTS AND DECEPTICONS XD thats so cool

Oh my god you just made my day by saying star citizen it is my favorite game

That bed monitor diagonal for when your laying down on you side watching a show 💁♂️🤣
5:58 yes I have my keyboard something similar to that just not as far forward lol
Are you still using Sony Vegas to edit your videos?
On the transformer setup. Is that projector part of the setup, or is it connected to a cable box (or similar)?
Yes! I always have my keyboard and mouse like 5 cm from the edge. Just enough to rest my wrist. It comes from years of playing at high dpi where I only need to slightly move my wrist around. Having my whole forearm on a desk is really uncomfortable tbh
Please can you make a video on what the best monitors are for each budget and different uses?

Thanks Bye.
Might just be making this up but I THINK you use water jets to cut marble
What are good airflow pc cases?
@techsource if I’m not mistaken Ed u use a title water cutter
i understand what you mean about 2 people side by side work from home however, when we go to the office we work side by side in a much more busy enviroment so in the grand scheme of things 1 person is nothing
Happy birthday Ed nice video
W series. I just realized i have the same bday as Mr. Ed
you can cut marble with grinders or circular saws for marble
@TechSource I'm sure the guy with the joysticks had his keyboard flush with the front of the desk just to show off the internals of the desk PC, I'm sure he games like us normal people, with the keyboard shoved closer to the monitor, using the desk as armrests.

Ed, Gaming with your daughter is the next big thing!
Bro is the best editor ever 😮
Hmm, this feels like a setup.

Ur vids are just wow!❤❤❤
Anyone know that wallpaper / decor in David's setup?
Happy Early Birthday Ed!!!!
I think the keyboard and mouse were moved forward to showcase the desk itself and the components inside it if I had to guess.
4:40 why not just flip the plug upside down like a normal person would ? Ohh i forgot yall still having em weird arse plugs over there. 😂😂
Can we get some Ws in the chat for Ed's hopes and dreams towards gaming with his wife maybe a little unspoken rizz energy sent his way as well
hey bro i really enjoy you video and i watch every episode of the setup wars i would love a new setup to be in one of these videos built by you but i know this will never reach you 😢 but thank you for entertaining me i found joy and happiness in your videos 🙏
Happy birthday 🎉 man
I am not a landscaper but I believe you can cut marble with a wetsaw with a diamond blade.
TechSource how do i install an nzxt x73 on a AM5 Motherboard
King video.
there are likely support beams screwed on the reverse of that headboard in the dorm room setup ...

I like the keyboard to the point where I am able to reach basically not at the edge of desk
Wait we got the same b day aeee🎉
Millwork Engineer here...are we sure that's not a marble laminate? I've seen some pretty good fabricators turn bland MDF into beautiful looking marble shelves. Think he can cut his desk for us to show a section? (jkjk)
Ed always comes in clutch with a video when I need it the most
